DANIELLE GUIZIO BRINGS HER ONE-OF-A-KIND TOUCH TO THE PUMA SPEEDCAT

PUMA teams up with New York-based designer Danielle Guizio who brings her distinctive spin to the Speedcat.

Guizio’s first official collaboration with PUMA debuts with a limited-edition Speedcat Mesh. The self-taught designer brings her feminine perspective to the low-top Speedcat, adding distinct details and new materials. The limited friends-and-family release features lime and cream colorways with a gum sole, and a special "Guizio" tab on the upper to commemorate the collaboration.

Following this initial release, Guizio will further infuse her contemporary style into the performance racing shoe-turned-streetwear staple, with a second black and white colorway launching at the end of the year.

Originally released in 1999, the Speedcat is a performance footwear design conceived for F1 racing. Embraced by the world of fashion and sneaker culture in the mid-2000s, the Speedcat was officially reintroduced by PUMA in June 2024. 

The PUMA x Danielle Guizio friends-and-family Speedcat Mesh will be available exclusively at the brand-new GUIZIO flagship store at 81 Greene Street in New York City, starting September 11.

PUMA AND KIDSUPER’S NEW COLLABORATION IS ALL ABOUT THE FUNNY BUSINESS

PUMA and KidSuper reprise their partnership with a new footwear, apparel, and accessories collection. 

Created through the lens of football, the collection takes its inspiration from PUMA’s heritage of athletics, bringing pastel colorways, specially designed patterns, and modern aesthetics into the form and function of sportswear.  

Warm-up gear like the Cellerator Track Pants and Cellerator Track Jacket are both adorned with a stylized take on PUMA’s leaping cat logo, complemented by outerwear like the Reversible Vest and MMQ Jacket that are covered with custom mosaic patterns. Bespoke “KidSuper Academy” graphics appear on essentials like the Graphic Tee and Crewneck, while the Trapper hat and Gloves add to the collection’s individual character.

KidSuper’s takes on the Easy Rider and Palermo carry over the rippling lines and color tones, with mixed materials including mesh and suede lending the collaborative footwear a deconstructed feel. 

To launch the collection, PUMA and Colm Dillane, better known as KidSuper, hosted a live comedy extravaganza in New York City, bringing in a roster of standup stars. Held at Harlem’s famous The Apollo Theater on September 9, 2024, the comedy show was accompanied by episode two of SCRAM!, a limited animated series which debuted in 2020. The sophomore episode includes PUMA ambassadors Jack Grealish, Lamelo Ball, and Neymar Jr., as well as Westside Gunn, Thierry Henry, and Usain Bolt.  

The collection’s campaign is guided by the coming-of-age motifs portrayed in SCRAM!, depicting the disparate cliques of New York City coming together to showcase the latest PUMA x KidSuper drop. 

Following the live comedy show the PUMA x KidSuper collection will be available starting September 21 on PUMA.com, in PUMA flagship stores, and at select PUMA retailers.

PUMA & MANCHESTER CITY LAUNCH THE 24/25 DEFINITELY CITY KIT IN COLLABORATION WITH NOEL GALLAGHER

Global sports company PUMA and Manchester City are proud to unveil the Definitely City kit for the 24/25 season, co-designed by legendary musician and lifelong City fan, Noel Gallagher. Marking the 30th anniversary of Oasis' iconic album Definitely Maybe, the special-edition kit draws inspiration from the album cover that defined a generation. 

The Definitely City kit will be worn exclusively in select European fixtures, encapsulating the spirit of a Club ready to rock on the biggest stages in Europe. The design features a bold aesthetic that echoes the iconic imagery of Definitely Maybe, paying tribute to the band and the city of Manchester.

The special-edition jersey features a light straw base colour with bold blue side panels and sleeves with subtle poppy pink detailing on the cuffs and panels of the jersey. Intricate outlines of marine blue supersonic waves adorn the jersey, with PUMA paying tribute to the colour palette from the iconic album cover creating a jersey that is Definitely City.

The kit is part of the Definitely City collection, all designed in collaboration with Noel Gallagher. The full collection includes a Track Jacket and Pants, Overshirt, Bomber Jacket, Tee, Polo, Retro Jersey and Drill Top. 

The collection was shot in a living room recreated from the Definitely Maybe album cover, with Manchester City players including Kyle Walker, Jess Park, Mateo Kovačić and Ederson joining Pep Guardiola and Noel Gallagher on set. 

Speaking about his involvement in the design of the Definitely City kit, Noel Gallagher said: “I loved City before anything, I was into City before I was into music, I was into City before I knew what music was. Definitely Maybe is what set us on our way, the record lasting as long, you can’t predict that kind of thing. It’s a great working class, Mancunian record – it’s real.

“When PUMA approached us at one of the games about designing a kit it took about five seconds to agree to it. It’s the same colour palette as the cover of Definitely Maybe: it’s unique but it’s definitely striking, and I think it looks great. When you see people representing your Club, it’s important that they look good.

“Definitely Maybe has never lost its magic to me, I just think it’s an amazing snapshot of what we were about. With the anniversary, I’ve been listening to it a lot more than I would ever listen to it, it makes me smile – they were great times. It’s spawned a great football kit, it’s legacy lives on.”

The Definitely City kit will debut on pitch on the 18th September at the Etihad Stadium when Manchester City take on Inter Milan and will be worn in select European Away fixtures for the remainder of the 24/25 season.

PUMA AND ARIES DEBUT FIRST EVER COLLABORATION

Today, PUMA announces its first ever collaboration with London-based luxury streetwear imprint Aries, after debuting a tease of the collection at PUMA’s New York Fashion Week show in February 2024.

Blending PUMA’s heritage with Aries’ luxe-streetwear aesthetic and signature graphics, the partnership riffs on racing and kitschy aesthetics, mixing modern and nostalgic references into one breakneck vision. The genderless collection is highlighted by statement graphics as well as experimental knitwear and double nylon pieces, paired with a crafted selection of accessories and footwear, including an Aries take on the iconic PUMA Mostro. 

The collaboration capsule includes a moto-mesh long sleeve tee featuring a selection of Aries custom graphics, as well as the knitted cardigan printed with an original digital print. A lace-knit tight tee incorporates cycling inspiration and is made from an original knitted jacquard, while the garment-washed oversized tee features a fierce “PUMA” graphic with an airbrushed motif playing on Aries’ branding of ancient mythology. The water-repellent nylon lightweight jacket and lightweight pants once again make use of a digital print featuring a “PUMA” skeletal x-ray graphic. Playing on kitsch codes, accessories like the PUMA x Aries Cap and very Mini Grip Bag evoke ‘80s and ‘90s mall aesthetics.

For the footwear, PUMA and Aries turn their attention to the incomparable Mostro and iconic Suede. The Mostro is the hero of the collaboration and is reworked with a mixture of mesh, neoprene, and suede on the upper. Aries’ take on the Mostro also features an elastic closure with an adjustable toggle at the rear. The Suede comes with a rubberized mudguard, leather toe cap, and special graphics on the heel and tongue. 

PUMA and Aries call on acclaimed New York photographer Mark Luckasavage who effortlessly captures the PUMA x Aries collection through a spectral, filtered lens. Portraits and candid images comprise the campaign, which imparts the impression of a tainted daydream to reflect the ethos of the collaboration.

ULTRA FUEL 5 Event

THEO HERNÁNDEZ RULES SUPREME IN THE ULTRA 5 FUEL YOUR FAST EVENT IN MILAN

Global sports company PUMA hosted the fastest event of the year – The ULTRA 5 FUEL YOUR FAST Event in Milan, Italy. The adrenaline fuelled event featured a 125-participant race tournament in the morning followed by a 12-team global football tournament to find the ULTRA 5 Champions.

Not only did the event host over 300 guests worldwide, but they were also joined by some special guests from the PUMA Fam including Theo Hernández, Christian Pulisic, Chanté Dompig, Laura Giuliani and Nesrine Bahlouli. The star players were joined on track by Scuderia Ferrari Academy Drivers Oliver Bearman and Dino Beganovic for a race to crown our track Champion with Theo Hernández taking home the victory in a wild race from start to finish. 

Theo Hernández, AC Milan commented after the race, "Today was incredible, I love Motorsport and to see something like this today was so fun. Getting on track with the rest of the PUMA fam and the Scuderia Ferrari team was wild, to win the race was amazing. The ULTRA is the fastest on the pitch and the track".

The day featured interviews with the PUMA team behind the ULTRA 5, The PUMA players in attendance and Scuderia Ferrari Academy Drivers. Not only that the event had a custom wrapped Formula One car in the ULTRA colours to celebrate the ultimate crossover of football and motorsport.

The event celebrated the UTLRA 5 Ultimate and Carbon editions that are on global release now.

SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN: PUMA DROPS THE “LAUNDRY BOYS” GV SPECIAL

PUMA’s latest take on the GV Special is all fresh, no mess. 

The 1983 tennis sneaker is remade with a special resin-coated upper, to create a scuff and dirt-repellent version of the iconic low-top. The pristine and playful edition of the GV Special will stay spotless and clean wear after wear. The “Laundry Boys” GV Special is also a perfect blank canvas to scribble and tag, and then just wipe clean to start over with a new masterpiece. 

This special “Laundry Boys” edition comes with custom packaging, inspired by the nostalgic logos and slogans of laundry detergent brands.

Giving rise to the playful GV Special concept, a popular anecdote tells of a laundry service formerly run by the Dassler brothers. Nicknamed the “Laundry Boys” by residents of Herzogenaurach, the brothers were known for delivering clean washing around their hometown.

UNITED BY BORUSSIA: PUMA & BORUSSIA DORTMUND UNVEIL THE 24/25 AWAY KIT CELEBRATING INCLUSIVITY

Global sports company PUMA and Borussia Dortmund have today unveiled the Club’s Away kit for the 2024/25 season, championing diversity and inclusion with a design that leaves no fan behind. 

The Club mantra 'United by Borussia' comes to life in the 24/25 Away kit. Repeated throughout the jersey in writing, sign language, and Braille, the kit champions the diversity of the Club and constant work against racism, antisemitism, LGBTIQ* hostility, sexism and discrimination to support an open society.

The Borussia Dortmund jersey features a classic black base with a yellow midsection, PUMA logo and Club badge. The jersey features a round neck collar, and black tonal stripes wrapped across the jersey with black socks and black shorts to complete the look.

AC Milan’s culture thrives on creativity and vibrant colors. The new Third kit brings fresh, new colors to the pitch, adding a whole new layer of meaning to the beautiful game. The unique new 24/25 Third kit features a shadow grey base color with a fresh mint collar and sleeves, with grape mist details on the collar – including a monochromatic version of the Club crest – to express the inherent Milanese style in a way that’s both new and distinctly Rossonero, even in the absence of Rosso or Nero.
