PUMA LAUNCHES GO WILD PODCAST, FEATURING INSPIRING BRAND AMBASSADORS AND SPOKESPEOPLE THAT HAVE REDEFINED THE GAME

Global sports company PUMA launches the ‘Go Wild Podcast’ as the brand continues to amplify its ‘Go Wild’ philosophy. The first initial episodes are hosted by sprint and hurdle legend Colin Jackson and will feature intimate interviews with a collective of high-profile ambassadors, athletes, and influencers associated with PUMA – also known as The PUMA Wild Ones - who embody PUMA’s philosophy to Go Wild by fearlessly redefining their fields in sport.

GO WILD PODCAST

The first episode begins with a compelling conversation between Colin Jackson and the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, in a 30-minute sit-down interview. Listeners can expect an upbeat and playful conversation, diving into moments of triumph, emotional highs, and breakthroughs that have defined Bolt’s extraordinary career, including overcoming lows such as the infamous 2011 disqualification.

The Go Wild Podcast delves into both sport and lifestyle, with conversations rooted in authenticity, courage, and self-expression. Through these podcast stories, PUMA aims to connect with its audience on a deeper level, embracing the aspirations of a new generation.

Julie Legrand, Global Senior Director Brand Strategy and Communication at PUMA, says:

“The launch of our new Go Wild Podcast allows our audience to delve deeper into PUMA’s brand DNA, told through the lens of inspiring individuals who truly embody PUMA’s philosophy. At PUMA, we want to champion the individuals who have the courage to be themselves, and this first episode with Usain Bolt can do this perfectly. With more intimate conversations on the Go Wild podcast, we aim to inspire a new generation to embrace boldness, authenticity, and self-expression.”

Following the launch of PUMA’s largest global brand campaign to date in March, which champions the courage to be yourself and the joy of sport, the Go Wild Podcast delves into the personal journeys of those who embody this philosophy.

Episodes will feature as part of a wider Go Wild content series by PUMA, which will roll out full-profile video content on notable figures in sport and culture, alongside content at major global sporting events this year such as the Boston Marathon and the Women’s Football Euro Championship.

LONDON ROARS AS PUMA PROJECT3 RUNNERS SMASH ALMOST 3 HOURS OFF THEIR RECORDS AND WIN MORE THAN £58,000 IN PRIZE MONEY

Off the back of the blistering success at the Boston Marathon, PUMA’s Project3 participants continued to make waves in running as they shaved a combined 2hours, 51minutes and 19seconds off their personal best times at the 2025 London Marathon.

PUMA PROJECT3 LONDON
  • A total of 90 Project3 participants from nine countries competed in the London Marathon; 39 beat previous marathon records wearing Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3
  • Lucy Jones (2:30:23) and Kevin Salvano (2:13:03) record quickest times, with Lucy Jones also registering biggest time improvement (22:31)
  • In total, PUMA will reward £58,500 ($78,000) in performance-based cash prizes

A total of 90 runners from nine countries raced across the capital wearing the newly launched Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3, producing staggering results in the process.

39 runners set a new PB with 23 smashing their records by over three minutes, making them eligible for the astonishing £2,250 ($3,000) cash prize. In total, PUMA will pay out £58,500 ($78,000) to Project3 runners – that’s more than is awarded to the winners of the men’s and women’s elite races.

It was a day to remember for Lucy Jones who finshed first in the mass participation field, recording a time of 2:30:23, whilst knocking a mindblowing 22minutes and 31seconds off her previous marathon record. This result means she will take home a total prize of £6,750 ($9,000) as the fastest Project3 female, breaking her previous record by more than 3minutes and being the Project3 runner with the biggest time improvement.

The fastest male runner, Kevin Salvano completed the course in 2:13:03, finishing 18th overall.

Commenting on her performance, Lucy said: “I went off at 2:33 pace, found a nice rhythm and got to the halfway point feeling alright; then when I got to 20miles feeling good, so I said right let’s close it. I’m so happy with the new PB. I wasn’t running competitively last year, was a bit naïve and went out too hard, which wasn’t as fun. I knew if I ran smarter I could take some time off my PB but I really didn’t expect that at all. The shoes (Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3) were unbelievably quick, they suit me really well.”

In January, PUMA launched Project3; a first of its kind global running program that offered participants of the 2025 Boston and London Marathons the opportunity to experience life as a professional athlete and trial the Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3, with the chance to bank huge performance-based cash prizes.

The program forms part of PUMA’s brand elevation strategy to strengthen its presence globally and celebrate the latest brand campaign, “Go Wild”.

ELEVATING AN ICON: PUMA SUEDE REBORN WITH CHARLES F. STEAD’S EXPERT CRAFTSMANSHIP

A classic reborn for a new generation, the PUMA Suede continues to evolve through a new premium execution.

SUEDE

For decades, the PUMA Suede has retained its status as a footwear icon, having been reimagined through the lens of different styles, cultures, and communities since its introduction in 1968.

Named in honor of its signature upper material, and famously for its many classic and nostalgic colorways, the PUMA Suede is now treated to an elevated re-work, featuring premium materials crafted by renowned British tannery Charles F. Stead.

Rendered in a suite of colorways, this luxurious take on the PUMA Suede arrives in six different versions, including the original Black color scheme, as well as Natural, Baby Blue, Royal Blue, Pink, and Caramel.

Founded in 1825, Charles F. Stead is well-known for its top-quality suede that undergoes a careful tanning process, creating a soft, natural feel that many consider to be a hallmark of the very best suede in the world. Paying tribute to the collaboration, each pair comes with a commemorative Charles F. Stead hang tag, also crafted from suede.

The PUMA x Charles F. Stead Suede is available starting April 25, 2025, from PUMA.com, PUMA flagship stores, and stockists including Bodega, KITH, Concepts, and END Clothing.

About the PUMA Suede

Since 1968, the PUMA Suede has been on a remarkable journey, and has helped build the foundations of key cultural movements from hip-hop to skateboarding and streetwear. The story begins with PUMA's first-ever “lifestyle” shoe, the Crack, which was launched in 1968 for the Olympics in Mexico City, where it was famously raised by Tommie Smith. In 1973, Walt Frazier added his spin on the shoe, creating the Clyde. Following Frazier’s era, it became the Suede, named for its signature material. With the rise of B-boy crews and hip-hop, the Suede was adopted into that growing scene. Finally, when it debuted in the UK during the 1980s, it arrived with the name States, as a nod to its popularity overseas.

In the present day, modern tastemakers have adopted the Suede and made it their own. The iconic silhouette has lived a different life over each decade and each generation, and the last 50 years have made it clear: no two Suedes are worn the same.

PUMA has officially unveiled the much anticipated Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3, its fastest ever running shoe, engineered to aid your pursuit of a new personal best.

Fast-R NITRO Elite 3
  • A biomechanics study has demonstrated that Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 improves running economy and could knock minutes off your personal best.

  • The lightest race day shoe ever produced by PUMA; Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 is engineered to make you Go Wild and have the time of your life.

  • Available to purchase in limited supply exclusively at ‘The High Point’ – PUMAs ultimate Boston Marathon experience – from Friday 18th April.

Debuting at the Boston Marathon, Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 combines state-of-the-art technology with cutting-edge design, providing runners a rate of efficiency that could potentially shave minutes off your race day records - evidenced in a research study conducted by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

The study, led by industry specialist Wouter Hoogkamer, concluded that Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 provides 3.15% improved running economy*, which for a 3-hour marathon runner translates to an unprecedented potential marathon time saving of more than 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

Commenting on the findings, Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Wouter Hoogkamer, who specializes in the biomechanics and energetics of running said: "The most striking result from this study was the consistency of the running economy improvements. For every single participant the numbers showed that running was easiest - requiring the least amount of metabolic energy - in the Fast-R 3. This is remarkable. From years of research we know that our lab-measured improvements in running energetics translate to faster race times."

Engineered with elite runners and tested on real athletesFast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 weighs an astonishing 95 grams less than its predecessorThe decoupled midsole has received a fierce upgrade, with a new NITROFOAM™ ELITE compound providing next level cushion and responsiveness.

The restructured PWRPLATE offers unrivalled propulsion and elite efficiency, whilst retaining the silhouettes iconic extension through the forefoot and out past the toe – a unique design and performance benefit that was first introduced in the Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 2.

Romain Girard, VP of Innovation at PUMA said: "We redefined the creation process to be completely digital. Optimizing this approach has resulted in science and data that proves PUMA is not just competing in the running category, we’re leading it. This is a truly generational shoe that sets a new standard for the entire category.”

Ahead of his appearance at the Boston Marathon, Canadian Olympian Rory Linkletter said: “Make no mistake, Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 is the most radical ride I’ve ever experienced, and I have the Strava receipts to prove it. It’s certainly the fastest shoe I’ve ever laced up.”

Designed with PB Chasers in mind, Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 will not only be worn by PUMA’s elite runners competing at the Boston and London Marathons, it will also be on the feet of 200 PUMA Project3 participants striving to break their personal bests, and the chance to win $3,000.

INSPIRED BY THE PITCH, PUMA’S V-S1 TURNS SPEED INTO STREET STYLE

PUMA introduces the new V-S1, inspired by the brand’s longstanding history of performance football design, re-imagined for the streets.

V-S1

The new V-S1 is steeped in 2000s-era football DNA, borrowing from PUMA’s family of V1 football boots, which was known for its radical designs and use of innovative materials like carbon fiber.

The new V-S1’s pitch-inspired look borrows and interprets visual elements from the V1.06, and V1.08. The silhouette is defined by its low-profile shape, asymmetrical lacing, and unmistakable performance accents like its structural heel cage. PUMA’s Formstrip and leaping cat logo are seamlessly integrated into the streamlined design, as silver engulfs the shoe’s upper, further evoking Y2K aesthetics. Material hits on the upper create a symphony of textures, from cracked leather to micro dots and mesh. The V-S1 breaks out in two inaugural colorways, including the vivid “Poised Pink” and metallic “Shadow Gray.”

In a true synergy of football and lifestyle, the V-S1 boldly rethinks performance design, igniting a new and exciting future of hybrid designs.

The PUMA V-S1 is available starting April 19, 2025, from selected stockists and PUMA.com

About the PUMA V-Series

In the 2000s, PUMA’s V-series of football boots evolved performance design in leaps and bounds. Short for “velocity,” the V1 helped establish a new category of ultra-light boots that let players move faster. This innovation was in part thanks to Schoeller ConTec, a tough, paper-thin fabric just 0.4mm thick. Borrowing from motorsports, PUMA then added carbon fiber sole plates, creating a new standard for lightweight design. On the back of additional PUMA footwear designs that are entrenched in the terrace footwear trend, plus throwback silhouettes like the Avanti and King Indoor, the time was right for PUMA to reintroduce the V-series to return to the spotlight, in an entirely new way.

PUMA’S LATEST KING INDOOR IS FOR THE QUEENS

For Kings and Queens alike, it’s not just about winning, it’s about winning in style.

KING INDOOR ROYALTY

The iconic King Indoor is the centreline of PUMA’s new “Royalty” pack. Inspired by the legendary names who wore the PUMA King, including larger-than-life figures like Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, and Pelé, this latest release borrows from the familiar team colors of nations that have competed on the world’s biggest sporting stage, the World Cup.

Nearly 60 years ago, the first PUMA King was introduced to the sport of football. In 1999, the silhouette evolved when the PUMA King Indoor touched the pitch for the first time. Then in the early 2000s, the King Indoor captured the attention of stylish youth who embraced the silhouette into the era’s cultural codes.

For the launch, an accompanying campaign celebrates three female street ballers who invite us to spend a gameday in their boots. Additionally, coinciding with the Dutch holiday of King’s Night, PUMA will team up with Dutch label Lack of Guidance for a launch event, featuring a curated panel talk, music, and more – all in the name of the King. Live-recorded in North Amsterdam, the home of Johan Cruyff, the first episode will feature Ghanaian designer Jefferson Osei, Lack of Guidance co-founder Akaar Amin, and Naomi Accardi of creative platform Systemarosa.

The PUMA King Indoor “Royalty” pack launched on April 1, 2025, and is now available at select retailers worldwide.
