Global Sports Company PUMA is announcing a game changing partnership with design visionary & cultural icon, Salehe Bembury. Bembury will join PUMA Hoops to not only design the brand’s next signature silhouette, but also help to recruit the brand’s next signature athlete.  With unmatched style and deep ties into the culture of basketball, the partnership will allow PUMA Hoops to continue its game changing path within both performance and culture.

Bembury has already changed sneaker culture in recent years through groundbreaking designs, world class collaborations, and polarizing silhouettes. His progressive designs have challenged sneaker conventions and ended up on catwalks, celebrities, and athlete’s around the world. He is now bringing his vision into the PUMA brand with a clear focus on it’s fastest growing segment – Hoops.  

“My designs are a platform for storytelling and cultivating community; an opportunity to breathe new meaning into a product. While my work has been known to cater to the outdoor space, a space I recently developed an intimate relationship with, my partnership with PUMA Hoops will allow me to tell a more deeply rooted personal story,” shares Bembury, “As a 90’s kid from New York City, I’ve played basketball my whole life and have a deep history, emotion, and nostalgia for the sport. I’m excited to leverage this collaboration as a catalyst to introduce an untold side of me and engage a new community.”
The partnership will see Bembury designing the brand’s next signature silhouette, helping to recruit the next signature athlete, and within the process create a new look & feel within basketball itself.

With an already disruptive line of product designs, influenced by a diverse boundary breaking roster that includes the likes of LaMelo Ball, Breanna Stewart, and Flau’Jae Johnson, the arrival of Bembury will only elevate the unique culture first storytelling even more. The partnership will yield a new creative edge and further challenge the conventions of performance and signature basketball within the culture of the game.

ELEGANCE IN MOTION: PUMA & AC MILAN UNVEIL THE 24/25 AWAY KIT WITH EPIC ON-PITCH DEBUT AT YANKEE STADIUM

Global sports company PUMA and AC Milan have today officially unveiled today the Club’s Away kit for the 2024/25 season, merging timeless sophistication with modern design to embody the essence of Milanismo.

The new Away kit was showcased for the first-time last night at Yankee Stadium, where AC Milan played a friendly game against Manchester City. In an epic first for AC Milan, the team wore their Home kit in the first half and then surprised fans by switching to the new Away kit for the second half, marking its debut and the first time the Club has unveiled a kit in this way.

Details make all the difference in the 24/25 AC Milan Away kit. The classic white Away kit combined with a red-and-black polo collar and monochromatic crest personifies the spirit of success and casual sophistication of a team synonymous with the beautiful game. A tonal pinstripe pattern adds a historic touch, honouring AC Milan’s origins as the Milan Football and Cricket Club.

The 24/25 Away kit is available in both Authentic and Replica versions. The Authentic jersey, worn by the players, is crafted with PUMA’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric, designed to reduce weight and friction, ensuring elite-level performance. The Replica jersey offers the same striking design with a more relaxed fit, perfect for both game days and everyday wear. Both versions incorporate PUMA’s dryCELL sweat-wicking technology to keep fans and players dry and comfortable. 

Reflecting PUMA’s commitment to sustainability, the Replica jerseys are made using the RE:FIBRE initiative, utilizing recycled textile waste to create new materials without compromising quality. Containing at least 95% recycled textile waste and other used polyester materials, this initiative represents a significant step towards a more circular and sustainable production process for football jerseys.

The launch of the Away kit is part of the broader “City and Milan for Change” initiative, a collaborative effort by AC Milan and Manchester City, supported by PUMA. The initiative focuses on giving back to the New York Community through various activities surrounding last night’s fixture. One highlight was a special joint community event in New Jersey on 26th July, which brought together over 60 boys and girls from the Success Academy Charter Schools Soccer Program, actively supported by Fondazione Milan since 2021, and children from the City in the Community (CITC) Soccerbloc program in Staten Island. The event featured participation from legends of both Clubs, making it a memorable occasion for all involved.

To mark the launch of the new Away kit, AC Milan and PUMA will host an exclusive “House of Milan” event on the 28th July in Manhattan. The event will bring together stakeholders and VIP guests to celebrate the new kit in a fashion-forward manner.

On July 27, PUMA's made-in-Italy collection launches with the GV Special, Suede, and Clyde in striking ‘Intense Red’ and ‘Opal Blue’ colorways. Drop two continues on August 3 with the Easy Rider and Indoor. Lastly, drop three concludes the made-in-Italy pack on October 19 with the GV Special and Clyde.

PUMA & MANCHESTER CITY TAKE OVER NEW YORK CITY WITH AMAZING THIRD KIT REVEAL EVENT

Global sports company PUMA and Manchester City took over New York City today with an incredible pop up ‘Block Party’ event on 49th Street and 5th Avenue. The event was hosted as part of Manchester City’s current pre-season tour of the USA where the special event, a collaboration between PUMA football, Manchester City and PUMA Hoops wowed crowds with special guests, brand new products and the merging of football and basketball culture to celebrate the launch of the brand-new Manchester City Third kit.

PUMA x MAN CITY REVEAL EVENT

The event took place on a custom-built court where Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, Pep Guardiola, Erling Haaland and Oscar Bobb enjoyed a basketball dunk show and other activities with 2x NBA Dunk Champion Mac McClung and special guests Chris Brickley, God Shammgod and Clyde Frazier. To celebrate the launch and in collaboration with PUMA Hoops, PUMA and Manchester City unveiled bespoke Manchester City basketball jerseys in the Home and Away colors that were unveiled at the event.

The event also included Jack Grealish being put through some unique basketball drills by Mac McClung and Pep Guardiola joined a special Q&A for guests in attendance with God Shammgod, Chris Brickley and PUMA Icon and basketball legend Clyde Frazier. Not only that there were interactive fan experiences by Etihad Airways and Experience Abu Dhabi as part of the unique fan event.

The next part of the Manchester City pre-season tour will see City take on fellow PUMA Club AC Milan at Yankee Stadium on Saturday 27th July where both Clubs have a special surprise for fans at the game.

Global sports company PUMA and Manchester City have today revealed the brand-new Third kit for the 24/25 season. Revealed to fans yesterday in New York City, the classic burgundy kit with metallic gold trims represents constant movement, on and off the pitch, encapsulating the spirit of a Club that’s always evolving and pushing forward.

City's journey is one of perpetual motion, and the new 24/25 Third kit pays homage to this dynamic legacy. The ship from the Manchester City crest, a symbol of the Club’s rich history, is transformed into an all-over tonal graphic representing the past, present, and future of a Club that’s never not moving.

The new Third kit was launched during Manchester City men’s first team pre-season tour of the USA at an exciting ‘Block Party’ event on 49th Street and 5th Avenue in New York City. On the 27th July, Manchester City will play fellow PUMA Club AC Milan at Yankee Stadium, with both Clubs investing in the local New York City community during the tour.

In collaboration with PUMA, both Clubs will host a joint community football session at Sofive Meadowlands as part of a ‘City and Milan for Change’ initiative. The project aims to give back and inspire the next generation of young footballers in the New York area, harnessing the unifying power of football to uplift communities around the world. As an Official Partner of both City and AC Milan, PUMA supported the community event by donating Manchester City and AC Milan kits and footwear to the children taking part.

In addition to the community session, both Clubs will take part in a special moment for change as part of the pre-season fixture on Saturday.

THE PUMA x LAAMS SUEDE IS AN INVITATION TO DIY

PUMA has teamed up with the Lower East Side creative outpost LAAMS to serve up a unique rendition of the PUMA Suede, embodying the spirit of encouraging creatives to pursue their craft in any medium they choose. 

THE PUMA x LAAMS

The Suede LAAMS ‘Blank Canvas’ is a DIY-inspired, double-layered shoe offering a customizable and artistic experience. Part artwork, part sneaker, the "Blank Canvas" Suede features a removable top layer of canvas on the upper, which can be peeled away to reveal green fuzzy suede beneath. This collaboration comes with the instruction to "Wear them into the ground," encouraging wearers to create a unique, one-of-a-kind expression through their journey with these special Suedes.

PUMA x LAAMS

In addition to the tearaway canvas upper and hairy suede base layer, the PUMA x LAAMS Suede is packed with details like fuzzy laces, silver lace jewels reading “PUMA” and “LAAMS,” and even a map of Manhattan’s Lower East Side that appears on the shoe’s outsole. 

The distinctive version of the Suede also comes with a printed tote bag and a special watercolor paper box that serves as its own blank canvas. After creating your own work of art on the box, submissions will be considered for a commemorative zine and in-store display at LAAMS.

The PUMA x LAAMS Suede is available starting August 3, 2024, at LAAMS and selected PUMA retailers worldwide.

The LAAMS store will host an in-store release, converting their workshop space into a customization studio. Those who purchase a pair of the LAAMS x PUMA “Blank Canvas” Suede will have the chance to work with creatives and makers to infuse their Suedes with individualistic touches like watercolor, distressing, airbrushing, custom stamping, and sashiko stitching.

HISTORY REMADE: PUMA & BORUSSIA DORTMUND UNVEIL THE 24/25 CUP KIT

Global sports company PUMA and Borussia Dortmund have today revealed the Club’s Cup kit for the 2024/25 season, a celebration of the Club's iconic moments and rich history.

Cup history (re)made. The 24/25 BVB Cup Kit combines elements from four kits worn during iconic cup moments, including the 2013 UEFA Champions League final. It’s a patchwork of classic designs, all coming together for a kit that’s ready to write the next chapter of Club history.

PUMA’S ACE-WORTHY GV SPECIAL ARRIVES IN AN ELEVATED TRIO OF COLORWAYS

Pulled from PUMA’s extensive archive, the GV Special receives an elevated update for 2024 in the form of three clean, court-inspired colorways, and under the title of GV Special Base.

PUMA’S ACE-WORTHY GV SPECIAL

Conceived under the standard of “Something Special,” this new trio of premium executions retains the GV Special’s court DNA, incorporating timeless green, cream, and grey tones. PUMA’s wordmark and leaping cat insignia appear on the tongue, while debossed “PUMA GV Special” lettering are subtly stamped just under the shoe’s top eyelet.

PUMA’S ACE-WORTHY GV SPECIAL

Channelling court aesthetics through a fashion lens, the campaign shows the GV Special Base accompanied by a chic wardrobe that blends tennis inspiration with preppy styling.

 

Originally introduced in the 1980s and named the PUMA California, the training silhouette was described as “universal” by PUMA catalogs. The heritage low-top silhouette is best known for its ultra-cushioned sole unit, as well as features like its tumbled leather upper and perforated toebox. Later renamed the GV Special for Argentinian tennis maestro Guillermo Vilas, the shoe became a favorite of terrace subculture, as football casuals developed a taste for performance models like the GV Special, pairing them with dark, straight-legged jeans.

PUMA AND SKEPTA BRING MÁS TIEMPO TO SUMMER FESTIVAL SEASON

PUMA links up with Skepta and Jammer's visionary house label, Más Tiempo, for a new collection inspired by the forever party of an endless summer.

PUMA and Más Tiempo are set to kick off the festival season with a capsule featuring football-inspired silhouettes and graphics, featuring metallic silver and magenta colorways, reflective details, and technical materials. Under the creative direction of Skepta and Jammer, the collection includes original graphic designs on T-shirts and hoodies, with the Más Tiempo wordmark and “World Tour” text appearing on Woven Shorts, half-zip Track Tops, and Football Jerseys. Festival-ready accessories like the Body Bag and 5-Panel Cap complete the lineup.

PUMA AND SKEPTA

A highlight of the collection is the new iteration of the Skepta-favorite PUMA Velophasis. This sleek black and grey sneaker festures purple accents and “Más Tiempo” branding on the heel and tongue.
