PUMA HOOPS AND BREANNA STEWART LAUNCH THE STEWIE 3

Global sports brand PUMA and WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart unveil the Stewie 3 today in Paris, France. The latest silhouette pays homage to a tapestry of influences, each contributing to the shoe’s storyline. 

For the third signature shoe with PUMA, the design is inspired by Breanna’s decorated career. The Stewie 3 Dawn features fiery hues and floral details representing both her family and journey. As a tribute to Tokyo, the cherry blossom, or Sakura, symbolizes the fleeting beauty of life and the resilience of nature. Also drawing inspiration from Rio Brazil, specifically the golden trumpet tree's exquisite floral display. The golden accents on the shoe mirror the coveted gold medal of champions.

At the heart of the Stewie 3's design lies a deep connection to Spain, symbolized by the prominent red carnation blooms that adorn its surface. The red carnation serving as tribute to Stewie's spouse, Marta. 

One of the most captivating elements, the incorporation of original blooming seed patterns that cascade gracefully across the outsole of the shoe silhouette, pay homage to Stewie’s daughter, Ruby and her desire to grow the game.

“It’s an honor to be able to incorporate part of my story into the Stewie 3: the people I love, and some of the places that have been integral to my journey. PUMA’s latest team-up with Colm Dillane, better known as KidSuper, brings the American artist’s work to life through statement designs and modernized classics. Following previous releases, the partnership takes its inspiration from PUMA’s football heritage, and Dillane’s lifelong passion for the sport.t.

Reinterpreting PUMA’s archival silhouettes through the lens of football, the fashion-forward, PUMA x KidSuper Sports Club collection brings pastel colorways and modern aesthetics into the form and function of sportswear, plus updated versions of the Velophasis and Palermo sneakers.

Featuring several matching sets, the distinctive range is elevated with garment dyeing, graphic jacquard knits, graphics inspired by the PUMA King, and patterned motifs created by KidSuper for PUMA.

Created in two colorways, the collection’s cut-and-sewn Track Jacket and Track Pants feature accentuated color blocking, as well as embroidered details. Crafted with a jacquard knit process, the Knitted Jersey and Shorts feature bold graphic elements and a KidSuper Football Club badge. Rounding out the contemporary collection that takes inspiration from the beautiful game, collaborative PUMA x KidSuper accessories include a Bucket Hat, Duffle Bag, and Scarf.

A unique cast of characters comes together for the campaign, which depicts Dillane as the patriarch of the PUMA x KidSuper family. Inspired by the classic mobster films of the ‘90s, the visuals portray the artistic collection, focusing on the matching tracksuits.

The PUMA x KidSuper Sport Club collection launches on April 13, 2024, online at kidsuper.com and in store, alongside select retailers. A collaborative drop with PUMA Basketball is set to follow in May.

PUMA REVEALS FEDERATION KITS FOR AN UNMISSABLE YEAR OF SPORT

Global sports brand, PUMA, has revealed the 17 Federation kits that will be worn by athletes at this summers Olympic Games.

The reveal is part of a historic year of sport for PUMA, during which they’ve already debuted new Jamaican kits at the iconic Boys & Girls Championships in Kingston, Jamaica, as well as unveiling their first brand campaign in over a decade.

The innovative kits will be worn by athletes representing Bahamas, Barbados, Botswana, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Cuba, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Saint Lucia, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago and Ukraine.

Rooted in elite performance, the new apparel has been designed to evoke speed, with cut lines strategically placed to accentuate the physique of the athletes. A specially engineered jacquard fabric is ergonomically shaped to contour the back muscles for heat reduction and breathability, with thermoregulation technology optimising body temperature to enable peak performance. The expanded range caters for various body types and will be offered to athletes across sprints, distance, jumps and throws.

PUMA LAUNCHES 2024 NATIONAL TEAM HOME & AWAY KITS - REMADE WITH RE:FIBRE

Global sports company PUMA has today unveiled their 2024 National Team Home and Away kits, featuring bespoke designs that celebrate the rich heritage of each nation. The Authentic version has been created from PUMA’s innovative, ultra-light ULTRAWEAVE technology, while the Replica jerseys have been crafted with the PUMA’s RE:FIBRE recycling technology. 

The RE:FIBRE process focuses on textile waste as the primary source of material to create new textiles. The recycled material can be used for recycling again and again without losing quality – making RE:FIBRE a more long-term solution for recycling polyester textile waste.

Through the RE:FIBRE program, PUMA is keen to address the challenge of textile waste via a long-term solution for recycling. The technology also looks to diversify the fashion industry’s main source of recycled polyester in garments from being less reliant on clear plastic bottles.

The RE:FIBRE process uses any polyester material – from factory offcuts, faulty goods to pre-loved clothes which allows new garments to be recycled from any color textile to any color desired. 

PUMA’s further commitment to sustainability is evident by PUMA’s move to introduce the RE:FIBRE initiative to their Club Replica jerseys for the 2024/25 season.

Nora-Sophie Lehmer, Senior Product Line Manager Teamsport Apparel Excellence, said “The launch of our new Home and Away National team kits marks a great new milestone for PUMA and our sustainability targets. For the first time our National team Replica jerseys will be made from RE:FIBRE. PUMA REVEALS JAMAICAN OLYMPIC KIT IN SPECTACULAR SHOWCASE OF SPEED AT PRESTIGIOUS ISSA BOYS & GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Globally renowned sports brand, PUMA, proudly unveiled the highly anticipated Jamaican Olympic Association kits during an unmissable showcase of speed at the ISSA Boys & Girls Championships in Kingston, Jamaica. 

The reveal, at the Jamaica National Stadium, came in front of more than 25,000 track enthusiasts from across the country, all gathering to feast their eyes on the future of Jamaican track & field. It served as the perfect platform to showcase the cutting-edge apparel that will adorn the fastest athletes on the planet this summer in Paris – many of whom competed at this event in their teenage years.

Jamaica’s most prestigious athletes took centre stage for the grand reveal, including the likes of double, double Olympic Champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah; the fastest woman alive at the 200 meters, Shericka Jackson; reigning Olympic Champion at the 110m hurdles Hansle Parchment; the second fastest man of all-time, Yohan Blake; former 100m World Record holder, Asafa Powell; World U-20 Triple Jump Champion Jaydon Hibbert; Rushell Clayton, Ackeem Blake and many more. Reissued from PUMA’s storied archive, the GV Special has been elevated with fresh colorways and enhanced comfort, featuring a tumbled leather construction, a perforated toebox for breathability, and gold lettering on the upper. The heritage low-top GV Special is also known for its ultra-thick sole unit, which adds extra cushioning and is one of the shoe’s design hallmarks.  

Originally brought to life in the ‘80s under the title of PUMA California, the training silhouette was described as “universal” by PUMA catalogs, defined by its indoor and outdoor adaptability and unmistakable inset midsole. The shoe’s name came from the California construction technique that fastens the upper to the sole. 

The California was later renamed the GV Special in honor of Argentinian Grand Slam winner Guillermo Vilas. Although they weren’t footballers, tennis champions like Vilas became intertwined with football casuals and terrace subculture, who eyed premium performance models like the GV Special, pairing them with dark, straight-legged jeans. 

The PUMA GV Special is available in a “White” colorway starting April 6, 2024, with a “White/Navy” version following in May, at selected retailers worldwide including Kith, Bodega, Slam Jam, END. Clothing, Sneakersnstuff, WORKSOUT.

THE 2024 PUMA EASY RIDER RUNS IN THE FAMILY

The PUMA Easy Rider is back.  

Introduced almost a half-century ago in 1977, the Easy Rider now makes a wider return for 2024. A game-changing design that revolutionized the jogging craze of the 1970s, the Easy Rider was later adopted by football casuals, becoming a staple of terrace culture. 

One of the first outdoor-specific soles in the sports footwear market, the Easy Rider’s federbein (shock absorption) outsole is built with conical-shaped studs that dampen impact. Part of the shoe’s design DNA, this studded sole unit is the Easy Rider’s most visually distinct feature. The new Easy Rider’s wedge-shaped profile, heel counter, and superlight padded nylon upper pay homage to the original.  

The comeback of the retro runner establishes a generational link through design, which is reflected in Easy Rider’s latest campaign that commemorates the importance of family ties. 

Previously, PUMA unveiled two premium, limited-edition colorways of the Easy Rider. Now, the silhouette returns in two new classic, ‘70s-inspired color schemes, in full-size runs for the whole family. 

The PUMA Easy Rider is available in “Black” and “Yellow” colorways starting March 23, 2024, from PUMA.com, PUMA flagship stores, and selected PUMA retailers.
