INSPIRED BY SPORTS NOSTALGIA, THE PUMA X LMC GV SPECIAL IS A CITY STAPLE

Making its return from PUMA’s storied archive, the reissued 2024 GV Special receives a collaborative touch-up from Seoul-based Lost Management Cities.

Remixing the ‘80s tennis silhouette, Lost Management Cities renders the GV Special with a playful and nostalgic colorway, inspired by the Korean brand’s love for classic sportswear. Mixing blue and cream tones, LMC’s rendition comes with hand-finished detailing, such as raw fabric edges and zig-zag stitching on the upper. PUMA and LMC logos share placement on the tongue and heel, while a special Lost Management Cities tab is fastened to the PUMA Formstrip. Lastly, a gum sole offsets the light tones used across the upper.

Originally brought to life in the ‘80s under the title of PUMA California, the silhouette was originally defined by its universal indoor and outdoor adaptability and unmistakable inset midsole. Later on, the California was renamed the GV Special in honor of Argentinian Grand Slam winner Guillermo Vilas, who favored the shoe during his time as a domineering force on the court.

Later in the year, PUMA and Lost Management Cities will return with a full apparel collection.

The PUMA GV Special x Lost Management Cities is available starting May 25, 2024, at selected retailers worldwide.

Global sports company PUMA and AC Milan have today unveiled the Club’s Home kit for the 2024/25 season, seamlessly bringing together the history of the Rossoneri with the future of kit design.

From the home of timeless fashion, nothing says football heritage like the red and black stripes of AC Milan, synonymous with success, passion, and style – from the turf to the streets since 1899. 

Where red meets black, football meets family, with the classic colors portraying a visual representation of the human genome – the essence of the Milanismo. It represents the passion that flows like blood through the veins of fans, a tradition passed on through generations, and donned by some of the greatest to ever play the game.

The classic style of the new jersey, with its red and black stripes and white details, is a nod to the 125 years of history of the Club, also celebrated through a dedicated patch on the back of the jersey – which will be present in all PUMA kits this season. PUMA's design ethos contained within this kit embodies a fusion of heritage and modernity, creating a kit that is not only iconic but also a testament to AC Milan's enduring legacy. A defining feature of this new kit is the inscription “Social Club Institution” on the inner collar, symbolizing the Club's steadfast dedication to social issues and underscoring AC Milan's role as a social and cultural institution committed to fostering positive societal change, in line with its values.

PUMA’s Easy Rider is back in the spotlight. 

A retro running silhouette that truly embodies a classic era of footwear design, the iconic Easy Rider touches down for the new season. Rooted in running, the OG Easy Rider has undergone an evolution. In 2024, it’s ready to be remixed and reinterpreted by a new generation. 

After revolutionizing the jogging craze of the 1970s thanks to its innovative shock-absorbing outsole, the Easy Rider was later adopted by football casuals, becoming a staple of terrace culture.

In this new chapter of the Easy Rider, PUMA introduces the Easy Rider Vintage in a fresh range of clean colorways designed for every day and everyone. Comprising fine mesh and suede with a contrasting white Formstrip, the tonal color schemes include Archive Green, Royal Blue, and PUMA Red tones.

Global sports company PUMA and Manchester City, have today revealed the brand-new Home kit for the 24/25 season. Designed with Manchester in its fabric, the sky-blue kit features threads of 0161 in the trim – a reference to the Club’s Mancunian roots.

Manchester’s 0161 is more than a dialling code. You’ll see it written on lampposts, printed on t-shirts, and even tattooed on people. It’s a sense of what being Mancunian is all about – a sense of location, no matter where you are in the world.

Capturing the mood of the collection itself, the campaign employs light and shadow as primary visual codes, naturally casting the spotlight on Skepta.

At just 26 years of age, Theo comes with a wealth of European football experience having played for Real Madrid before joining Italian giants and PUMA Club, AC Milan, in July 2019. PUMA introduces an all-new genderless collection in collaboration with Palomo Spain, a celebration of queer identities, '80s athletic culture, and the glitz of '70s roller disco, marrying Palomo’s elegant essence with PUMA’s heritage of sportswear. 

Inspired by the nostalgic allure of a sporty icon from the '70s, the latest PUMA and Palomo campaign offers a peek behind the scenes of an advertisement shoot. Set within a studio reminiscent of Hollywood's golden era, the backdrop merges seamlessly with the narrative. Bathed in perfect lighting, models exude effortless charm as they rehearse their movements gracefully juxtaposed against the shadowy figures of production staff.

The collection embodies a fusion of retro flair and contemporary touches with premium fabrics, distinctive logos and trims, and a rich color palette of warm tones. Key pieces include the hybrid Nitefox Loafer alongside a fresh take on the classic Palermo silhouette.

A full head-to-toe collection includes the Inhale Sneaker, originally launched in the 2000’s, which was hand picked by Rocky from the archive.

A$AP Rocky and PUMA will also be selling the collection race weekend in Miami on Saturday, May 4th at a pop-up activation with CNCPTS from 4-10PM at 2129 NW 1ST CT in Wynwood.  In addition, CNCPTS will host an exclusive in-store activation the evening of May 3rd in the Miami Design District in partnership with PUMA and A$AP Rocky.
