PUMA AND WILLIAMS RACING FORGE LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP

Sports company PUMA and Williams Racing have signed a multi-year global partnership, which will see the company provide the Formula 1 team with official team kit, racewear for the drivers, and manufacture and distribute replica apparel and accessories.

Williams Racing, with an illustrious heritage that boasts an impressive 16 FIA Formula 1 World Championship titles, 114 race wins and 128 podium finishes, joins forces with PUMA to celebrate a shared passion for motorsport and a vision for the future. 

PUMA has a rich history in motorsport, spanning over two decades, and supplies technical apparel that meets the highest FIA standards for fire protection without compromising on comfort. As part of the agreement, PUMA will provide a full teamwear service to Williams, including all driver technical apparel and team kit. 

PUMA's subsidiary, stichd, will also play a pivotal fulfilment role in the partnership. stichd will leverage its global rights to design, produce, and distribute a range of Williams Racing replica apparel and accessories for fans of all ages.

PUMA AND PLEASURES CREATE NEW SPORTSWEAR CODES WITH FIRST-TIME APPAREL COLLECTION

PUMA and PLEASURES link up for a complete collection mixing elements of sportswear, technical apparel, and outerwear, elevated with PLEASURES’ playful irreverence and eye for eclectic references to music, pop culture, and the melting pot of Los Angeles.

The announcement follows up on PUMA and PLEASURES’ DIY-inspired Overdyed Velophasis that was unveiled in mid-2023. 

For part two, both brands build on their creative partnership with a capsule that includes original patterns, cut-and-sew items, graphic T-shirts, accessories, and two more versions of the progressive, Y2K-flavored Velophasis. Select items feature overstated Sportartikelhersteller graphics, which translates to “Sporting goods manufacturer” in German, and nods to PUMA’s heritage as a manufacturer of track spikes and football boots. A playful celebration of both Germany and Los Angeles that mixes references from both disparate locations, the collection also includes a T-shirt with a special Biergarten graphic.

The Velophasis is treated to two contrasting color schemes, one that carries over the overdyeing aesthetic with an off-white color scheme and subtle yellowing on the sole, and an accompanying version that mixes bold orange, yellow, and black color blocking. 

The collection’s outerwear is highlighted by a patterned Puffer Jacket featuring an all-over geometric pattern, in addition to the Zip-Off Jacket which features zipped raglan sleeves for adjustability. The Sportartikelhersteller theme continues throughout the collection’s essential Hoodies and T-shirts. Accessories include the Masked Bucket Hat and the Messenger Bag featuring Cordura ripstop fabric. 

To celebrate part two of the collaboration, PUMA and PLEASURES will bring the Velophasis Sound System event to the German capital of Berlin. The special rave will be presented as a modern Oktoberfest carnival, including surprises and exclusive activities.

PUMA AND STAPLE’S “EAST WEST IVY” COLLECTION IS AT THE TOP OF ITS CLASS

PUMA and STAPLE continue their collaboration with the “East West Ivy” collection, which explores Asian American culture through the lens of 1960s collegiate style trends.

During this era, many fashion trends were inspired by the preppy collegiate style of US coastal universities – including the early generations of Asian American student communities. Taking inspiration from this time period, the PUMA x STAPLE East West Ivy collection brings together 60’s Asian-American collegiate aesthetics with the New York City streetwear roots of STAPLE.

These two movements are translated through classic, varsity-inspired chenille badges and premium materials, combined with traditional iconography from Asian cultures. These elements are displayed across a range of collegiate silhouettes including caps, jackets, hoodies and T shirts.

The collection’s highlights include cut-and-sew items like the Varsity Jacket and V-Neck Crew, both of which channel classic Americana with a letter-jacket aesthetic, bearing “P” and “S” for PUMA and STAPLE, respectively. The accompanying Hoodie, Sweatpants, and Graphic Tees are emblazoned with specially created graphics and logos, once again drawing inspiration from Asian American cultures. 

The footwear offerings include two colorways each of the PUMA Suede and Slipstream. Envisioned through STAPLE’s lens, the shoes feature re-worked elements like zig-zag shaped eye stays, debossed gold lettering, and yin-yang symbols on the tongue, while each sneaker comes affixed with PUMA Jumping Cat hardware in gold. 

Lastly, accessories include a lecture hall-ready Duffle Bag, as well as a Beanie and Cap.

Global sports company PUMA launches a beanies campaign, “Class of 23”, to unite ambassadors from across the globe to represent of the close-knit PUMA family.

2023 means a long journey for PUMA, which was made with the remarkable people behind it. ​“Class of 23” is the right way to celebrate the inspiring ambassadors and talents PUMA has collaborated with over the past 75 years.

Each talent, from Neymar Jr. and Pamela Reif to Gianmarco Tamberi and Winnie Harlow, was captured in a personalized way, wearing their favorite PUMA beanies from the 2023 collection to show their membership in the grand PUMA family.

PUMA AND PERKS AND MINI PASS THE BALL BETWEEN WORLDS FOR PAM/PUMA BIO/VERSE AW23

PUMA and Australian cult label Perks and Mini (P.A.M.) play on the interdimensional pitch for the third installment of the PAM/PUMA BIO/VERSE project.

The collection of upleveled goods looks to football for inspiration, mixing PUMA’s technical sportswear with a dose of Perks and Mini majik. Together, PUMA and P.A.M. have created a set of gamified graphics and left field insignias, which are used across reinterpreted sports uniforms, plus accessories and footwear. The latest collection was also created with a minimum of 20% recycled materials. 

The apparel is highlighted by cut-and-sew warmup gear like the Stadium Jacket and Velour set, which are adorned with “Psy-activ” club-inspired badges and motifs, as well as a hallucinatory floral-inspired pattern. For the PUMA x P.A.M. starting XI, a special long-sleeved Jersey features an archival-inspired collar with a new collaborative wordmark on the chest. The accompanying Flight Pants arrive in two colorways, complete with cargo pockets and adjustable cuffs. Other items include the pregame Stadium Jacket, and warm-down Velour Top and Pant set. A handful of wardrobe essentials complete the collection, in the form of Graphic Hoodies and Graphic T-shirts.

The footwear for PAM/PUMA BIO/VERSE AW23 naturally includes the Cell Dome King, as well as the modern Plexus and the iconic Suede. Locked down by stadium DNA, the Cell Dome King features PUMA x P.A.M. insignias on the lace cover and heel, while the matching Suede is also adorned with team colors and collaborative logos throughout. The blacked-out Plexus brings the special floral-inspired pattern to life, with 3D flower petals on the upper. Lastly, a Duffle Bag and Cap round out the collection’s accessory offerings. 

The campaign connects and confuses real-life and the studio, while renderings of psychic mutation bridge one word and another.
