Your Talent

Education:

  • Degree educated in Business or IT related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on E-Commerce experience, with demonstrated business success. Multi-channel retail experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading a team. Experience hiring and developing high-performance teams.
  • Fluency in E-Commerce best practices and technical environment.
  • Must have experience in working with E-Commerce systems such as Demandware, Hybris, Magento, Sales force or similar.
  • Generalist experience in Content Management, Merchandising Systems, including analysis of E-Commerce merchandising, sales & KPI performance and performance marketing.
  • Experience of project management through platform changes, upgrades, testing and integration of new technology, systems or service providers is a plus.

Capabilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (word, excel, power-point).
  • Fluency in the English language (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills with exceptional follow through skills .
  • Ability to managing multiple projects simultaneously and manage time autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules and business deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse setup.

  • Understanding of E-Commerce technology, including platform, payment process, content management, etc.
  • Ability to see consumer perspective and serve as their advocate.
  • Understand key retail metrics and calendars, including markup, margin, sell thru, demand curves.

Your Mission

To drive ZA E-Commerce sales and margins through merchandising, marketing, customer service and content initiatives according to PUMA’s brand strategy and key product stories. Key objectives are:

  • Responsibility for execution of the E-Commerce strategy for Puma ZA.

  • To own, manage, and prioritise multiple projects with high-quality output.

  • To provide leadership, development and supervision to a highly skilled team of E-Commerce professionals.

  • P/L control of the ZA E-Commerce business.

  • Implement sales plans for ongoing budget achievement

  • Constructive and strategic performance marketing

  • Managing the engineering for ongoing site enhancements

  • Ongoing improvements for onsite consumer experience

  • Achieve service & logistics excellence

Strategic:

  • Actively contribute to further develop ZA E-Commerce strategy, annual budget, and business KPIs focusing on goals for revenue, margin and inventory.
  • Propose E-Commerce budget according to Global strategy and Regional Adjustments.
  • Ensure that E-Commerce plans are aligned and follow with PUMA’s overall marketing strategies and brand priorities to achieve cross-channel marketing objectives.
  • Provide ongoing analysis and reporting of sales and margin drivers, identifying root causes and opportunities to drive growth.
  • Develop powerful reporting to monitor outbound and inbound Warehouse Operations performance and find potential room for improvement.
  • Maximise on the established marketing, merchandising, planning, and allocation processes.
  • Partner with regional merchandising and logistics teams to manage inventory health by ensuring efficient inventory flows (including input for efficient forecasting, purchasing, & inventory management).
  • Evaluate brand campaigns and work with the team on creating effective strategies optimised to drive users and consumers to the ZA Online Store.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve E-Commerce strategies, enhance customer experience, and to maximise ROI.
  • Maximise web usability and engagement of consumers based on quantitative and qualitative consumer data.
  • Manage execution, evaluation, and optimisation of site and product merchandising presentation.
  • Identify product opportunities through incorporating competitive analysis, business unit feedback and sales/site performance data and recommend overall brand/product value proposition improvement.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of key competitor products, distribution and pricing strategies as well as stay up-to-date on the latest E-Commerce technologies and trends.
  • Provide strong leadership, development and supervision to the staff in the execution of E-Commerce strategies.

Operational:

  • Manage complex payment and logistics processes and develop expertise regarding the connection between different payment types & delivery concepts, their impact on user experience as well as possibly affected risks.

  • Work with the 3rd Party Payment and Logistics Providers External Call Centre to ensure superior operations and satisfying customer experience.

  • Proactively monitor the performance of payment methods and run analytics to discover irregularities or needs for different markets.

  • Run regular risk management reports and develop measures to prohibit fraudulent orders and cash loss.

  • Work with payment providers and partners like VISA, MasterCard, PayPal and others to manage existing payment methods and integrate new ones.

  • Provide forecasts for demand planning of orders, replenishment and return behaviour to guarantee effective resource planning of the service providers.

  • Manage testing of new features and changes on the webshops, on multiple devices and web browsers – providing outlined test scenarios and detailed feedback.

  • Handle customer complaints/concerns professionally with good communication skills. Liaise with all necessary internal and external parties to find satisfactory solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
