Your Talent

  • Bachelor's Degree in industrial design or related field

  • 1-3 years of footwear design experience.

  • Collaboration skills across cross functional teams

  • Strong drawing, rendering, and presentation skills.

  • Refined design conceptualization and communication skills.

  • Competency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Substance, Keyshot, Gravity Sketch, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel and work internationally 10% yearly.

Your Mission

The Designer I, for the Running, Training Footwear-Fast Team position will be responsible for meeting seasonal design objectives within the parameters of the PUMA Fast Team timeline. With oversight from Team Head, the candidate will contribute to the footwear design process by combining influences of performance, user-centric problem solving, sport, and lifestyle to bring unique products to market. The duties include designing seasonal lifestyle/performance-driven footwear and addressing fast-paced design requests. Color and material selection, pattern design, storytelling, presentation preparation, market research, and logistical support.

  • Working closely with the Team Head for Running, Training, and Footwear, you will create unique new footwear designs that address consumer, retailer, and company needs on a seasonal timeline. Tasks include:

  • Conceptualize and execute new footwear designs.

  • Conceptualize and execute pattern designs and graphics.

  • Create product narratives that align with the creative direction.

  • Engineer value considered alternatives of In-line Products.

  • Provide market research and design trend analysis.

  • Prepare design review presentations.

  • Execute footwear design detailing and technical packages.

  • Design, refine, and specify trend-relevant color, graphics, and material options.

  • Refine and finish footwear designs through multiple prototyping processes.
