Your Talent

  • Degree in Textile / Fashion / Clothing related discipline
  • 10+ years' experience in Bags and Accessories, Football & related Equipment sourcing or manufacturing
  • At least 3 years of managerial responsibility, preferably in the sports industry
  • An experienced, dynamic, and self-driven person with the ambition to make career advancement
  • A people motivator who possesses strong people management skills and is experienced in leading teams

Your Mission

  • Manage the development process (from material to end-product) according to the company calendar, promote target achievement, ensure on time delivery of right quality samples
  • Promote strong relationships among suppliers, developers, BU and other business function (Sustainability, Order Management, Production, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Sourcing Director to set future sourcing strategies. Drive and implement strategic projects (e.g. Quality standard, BPCL implementation, SJ deal, PAC)
  • Remains current on market trends with competitors, suppliers, and ensure corporate standards are maintained in accordance with required margins/KPI
  • Engage in strategic negotiations to achieve favorable conditions and strong supplier partnerships
  • Monitor and address supplier performance regarding quality, pricing, and delivery requirements
  • Supervise and monitor execution of team routine operation to meet the timeline of each milestone of development cycle
  • To coach and mentor team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals

Your Talent

  • Preferred bachelor degree
  • 5-8 years working experience in bags and accessories, preferably in the sport equipment business
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, focus on details and proactive problem solving ability. Able to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team on assigned tasks
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes, materials and material testing.
  • Able to lead manufacturers towards improvements of development and production process
  • High proficiency in English or Mandarin would be considered a plus

Your Mission

  • Establish business relationship with all related suppliers
  • Work with suppliers on sample development independently
  • Build up a clear and transparent relationship with product creation team and suppliers
  • Communicate/comment/interact with product creation team and suppliers on problems regarding sample development and future bulk production. Detailed job follow up starting from sketching up to samples delivery. Samples, artwork, materials, strike offs and lab dips follow up / approvals
  • Ensure adherence to development calendar and timeline of each season including but not limited to sample delivery is on time and samples are developed as expected
  • Understand and monitor production plans and capacity usage with factories. Involve in the solution of production issues. Understand and monitor quality levels in factories
  • Promote and keep a transparent cost monitoring system and maintain requested data storage

Your Mission

  • As a Source Development representative in Puma’s HQ, support Line Management of Development Apparel to work on tasks, which are related to initiatives driving quality and consistency across all products of respective Business Unit throughout the entire development process. Focus lies on process improvements, provide calendar support, costing initiatives and sample management.
  • Together with respective Line Management of Development Apparel to align with BU on seasonal objectives and ensure that they are followed through and results will be delivered.

  • Understand product requirements and allocate products to appropriate suppliers who are able to produce in the required quality, styling, pricing and schedule.   Supplier selection must be aligned with company overall sourcing strategy.
  • Identify issues upfront that may prevent product sourcing objectives from being met. Including cost targets, quality standards in construction and materials, ease of manufacture, etc.
  • Join all milestone meetings at Puma’s HQ as Representative of Source Development team, like Product Brief, Internal Design Review, Final Design Review meetings, etc.
  • 6.            People Resources Management & Development

  • Ensure organizational efficiency through effective motivation, delegation and proper development of the respective team. 
  • Build up and develop the team (target setting, performance assessment, training, and development), foster productive cross-category cooperation within the greater department.  Manage and operate the department within the agreed budgets. 
  • Continuously monitor and balance team workload to achieve organizational efficiency by make use of IT-systems, data analysis and team feedback.

At PUMA Japan, you will lead both the operational and managerial aspects of the apparel product development process—from initial concept to market launch. Your responsibilities include planning and managing development schedules and budgets, while continuously improving processes to optimize efficiency and product quality. You will formulate product strategies based on market research and competitive analysis and collaborate and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders including MDs, designers, material manufacturers, and suppliers. Cross-functional coordination with internal departments such as marketing, sales, and logistics is essential to drive projects forward. Additionally, you will be responsible for nurturing and managing team members to maximize organizational performance and skill development.

Your Talent

  • High Diploma or above in Textile / fashion, Textile Chemistry or related disciple
  • Possesses 10 years of relevant experience or above in functional fabrics (both knit and woven) is highly preferred
  • Strong and comprehensive knowledge of textile production, fabric construction, functional performance properties, fiber and yarn dyeing, all over printing and panel printing techniques and finishing processes
  • Testing laboratory experience is preferable, i.e. Knowledge of RSL requirements
  • Strong communication skills in English (both spoken and written) & Mandarin

  • Good contacts with suppliers in HK, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, and others

Your Mission

  • Research material trends (Fibers / Prices / Newness) and present market relevant fabric concepts to Design and Product development team
  • This role supports material development for a range of accessories including bags, gloves, headwear, and other related products.
  • Ensure materials (fabric & trims) are in line with Brand’s sourcing strategy in terms of quality and price and sustainability target
  • Evaluate material supplier performance to develop material strategy to support business growth plan
  • Set up and maintain material prebuild process to ensure seasonal material are available for sampling and bulk production
  • Monitoring material inventory to track material usage and settlement with material suppliers and Business Unit
  • Lead on material related project
  • Review material sourcing process for continuous improvement
  • Closely work with supplier on material development to ensure material to meet our quality standard, RSL requirement and resolve potential quality issue with suppliers prior to order placement
  • Work proactively with cross-functional, internal and external division to ensure a smooth and efficient development and production process in timely manner
  • Follow closely on development calendar to ensure completion of task are on track
  • Prepare and provide material related analytical report for management

  • Extensive experience in end-to-end footwear product development

Your Mission

  • Own the end-to-end product development process, from initial design through confirmation, ensuring technical feasibility and performance
  • Act as the key technical partner to Design and Product Line Management, translating creative concepts into innovative, manufacturable solutions
  • Mentor and guide the Development team, fostering knowledge-sharing and professional growth
  • Drive material and construction innovation, working closely with suppliers to improve performance and sustainability
  • Evaluate prototypes and approve Red Tag samples, ensuring they meet functional, aesthetic, and cost targets
  • Translate athlete and performance feedback into actionable improvements across the development cycle
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional partners, including Sourcing, Sustainability, and Testing, to deliver against key milestones
  • Assess supplier capabilities and lead onboarding for performance-driven projects and innovations
  • Domestic and international travel required (approx. 20%).

Your Mission

Develop FTW upper materials to meet the basic requirements for Innovation projects, but also research & drive cutting edge material projects, always in close cooperation with internal and external partners.

Task 1 (50%):

  • Deliver relevant materials (textiles, fibres, leather, coatings, etc) for ongoing Innovation projects from a technology and project management perspective
  • Support the Research and development efforts for innovative performance and sustainable technologies in close collaboration with Innovation, Sourcing and key suppliers
  • Identify key suppliers and build up an effective network in cooperation with the overall Sourcing strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external partners to ensure processes meet innovation objectives
  • Stay connected to relevant current and upcoming research, technologies, methods and industry trends.

Task 2 (20%):

  • Manage and follow up lab testing of innovative materials
  • Create new test methods and standards for new materials in cooperation with internal/external partners

Task 3 (30%):

  • Use FTW product development expertise and give clear recommendation to ensure smooth integration of new materials –  running trials with T1/T2 supplier upfront to understand how to use materials.
  • Set up SOP how to use and work with new materials

Die Termine für die Anproben sind flexibel und werden im Voraus mit dir abgestimmt. Bitte beachte, dass es sich hierbei um keine Festanstellung handelt, sondern um eine freiberufliche Tätigkeit, für die ein Gewerbeschein erforderlich ist.

  • Mit dir als Anproben/Fitting Model können wir Musterteile testen, um die Passform zu prüfen
  • Ein Anproben/ Fitting Model darf man nicht mit einem Foto-/Laufstegmodel verwechseln. Du probierst im kleinen Rahmen unserer Fitting Meetings die Musterteile an und gibst uns ein erstes Feedback über die Passform. Die Fotos, die während dieser Meetings gemacht werden, werden ausschließlich für den internen Gebrauch genutzt
  • Alle Anproben/ Fittings finden bei uns im Headquarter in Herzogenaurach statt. Die Termine sind saisonal bedingt und zeitlich verschieden, werden aber selbstverständlich mit dir abgestimmt
