PUMA & MANCHESTER CITY CELEBRATE NEW WATER INSPIRED AWAY KIT BY LAUNCHING FOOTBALL & SAFE WATER PROGRAMS WORLDWIDE

Global sports company PUMA has today presented the new Manchester City Away kit for the 2021/22 football season. The stunning new Away kit celebrates football as a force for good. Produced with a special Dope Dye manufacturing process to reduce water consumption, the new kit pays tribute to a partnership with the Club’s global charity initiative, Cityzens Giving, focused on using football to raise awareness of and access to safe water across the world.

Clean and accessible water is crucial, yet 1 in 3 people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water. To help address this challenge, PUMA has partnered with Cityzens Giving and the Club’s Official Water Technology Partner Xylem to deliver an innovative global program, blending football-based education on water, sanitation and hygiene, and clean water access for communities in need.

The ambition is to reach over 10,000 young people in 3 continents, focusing on Manchester, São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Mumbai. The program has just kicked off with the creation of a clean water tower in Mumbai, producing a safe and long-term supply of fresh drinking water for 1,800 people per day.

The striking new jersey features water droplets throughout the design, highlighting the safe water program and Cityzens Giving. The club’s crest, PUMA cat, Etihad and Nexen sponsor logos feature iridescent colors, resembling the effect of light breaking through water droplets.

In addition to increasing access to clean water in communities, PUMA is reducing the amount of water waste and consumption during the manufacturing of the kit. The company has utilized an innovative Dope Dye manufacturing process to drastically reduce the amount of water and dye used during production.

“The Manchester City Away kit is a special project at PUMA, we are working with Manchester City and their partners to support communities and continue to increase our level of sustainability,” said Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director and Innovation at PUMA. “Along with supporting safe water programs, we have utilized an innovative Dope Dye manufacturing process to significantly reduce the level of water consumption when compared to traditional ways of dying materials. The Dope Dye process allows us to color the raw materials before it is spun or knitted to a textile allowing us to skip the water-intensive dying process of coloring the yarn or knitted material. An added benefit to this method is it improves color fastness by reducing the fading of the colors after washing or light exposure, which is important for performance products."

The new Manchester City Away jersey combines 100% recycled polyester with advanced PUMA dryCELL thermoregulation technology to ensure uncompromising fit and mobility, keeping athletes dry and comfortable. The jersey integrates an ultra-light jacquard structure into the back of the jersey to enhance breathability during intense performance.

The new Manchester City Away Kit will debut on pitch against Leicester City in the FA Community Shield fixture on August 7th at Wembley Stadium.

TIMELESS CLASSICS REIMAGINED: PUMA AND THIERRY HENRY SHOWCASE THE NEWEST DROP OF THE MMQ LINE
Global sports company PUMA has given the brand’s premium MMQ line a colorful update to create a timeless collection of classic sportswear, which is presented by football legend Thierry Henry.

The second part of the MMQ line – which takes its name from the German initials of PUMA’s classic “Made with Quality” slogan – comes in seasonal shades of blue, orange, and green, a color palette inspired by the Baltic Sea.

Global sports brand PUMA and football club AC Milan will release their first streetwear collaboration together, where Milanese heritage and proud footballing tradition were combined for a limited drop of footwear and apparel.

The capsule, designed as much for the terraces as it is for the street, marks a new chapter in the long-standing partnership between PUMA and AC Milan. The campaign features long-time PUMA ambassador, World-Cup winner, and current AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud whose strong professionalism, sense of fashion, and natural panache suit the collection to a tee.

The new streetwear capsule collection has been inspired by the next generation of AC Milan fans and it mixes the tradition and style of an iconic football club and a city worthy of its “fashion capital” status with modern design, underlining the Club's innovative spirit and vision, which has future generations at its heart.

Traditional training garments such as nylon waterproof coach jackets and track pants are overhauled and rendered as timeless items for the street by interlaying jersey linings, scarf-like patches, and unique AC Milan-inspired color palettes. INTRODUCING THE NEXT GENERATION: PUMA SIGNS ROMEO BECKHAM AS LATEST PUMA FUTURE Z ATHLETE

PUMA has signed a long-term partnership with Romeo Beckham. Romeo is currently preparing for his second season in professional football after signing with Fort Lauderdale CF, a USL League One side and reserve affiliate of Inter Miami CF, earlier this year.

Romeo represents both football performance and creative culture. His passion and commitment to the game is complemented by his energy and style off the pitch and the combination is something that PUMA are excited to be part of.

 

Romeo, 19, will be wearing the PUMA FUTURE Z 1.2 football boots: "The FUTURE Z boots match my game perfectly. PUMA and AC Milan pays tribute to the architecture of Mlan with the new AC Milan Home Kit
Sports company PUMA has today unveiled the new AC Milan Home kit to be worn by the men’s, women’s and youth teams for the 2020/21 season. The Home kit is inspired by the elegance and grandeur of the city of Milan, its magnificent structures and its iconic architecture.

Milan is a city rich with culture and history; it is a city of glamour and creativity, home to some of the world’s most beautiful and historic architecture. To celebrate the essence and culture of the city, the new Home kit pays homage to Milano tradition and its contemporary design. 

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is at the heart of the city, it offers a glimpse into the Milanese soul, complementing the city’s past with a modern approach to design. The Galleria is Italy’s oldest shopping mall, housed in a four-story double arcade in the center of Milan and is named in honor of the first King of Italy. The striking patterns and architecture of the Galleria have inspired the all-over pattern printed tone on tone within the jersey’s traditional black and red striped design, adding a modern twist to an iconic design.

PUMA UNVEILS THE NEW KSI HOME KIT INSPIRED BY THE UNIQUE VOLCANIC LANDSCAPE OF ICELAND
Sports company PUMA has today released the new Football Association of Iceland (KSI) Home kit for the 2020/21 season to be worn by the men’s, women’s and youth teams of Iceland. The Home jersey is inspired by the countries unique landscape and volcanic basalt rock column formations and marks the first time the new Iceland logo will be displayed on the shirt. The logo features a new design, combining the guardian spirits of Iceland who protect and watch over the land. 

The new KSI Home jersey features an all-over graphic inspired by the volcanic activity of Iceland and its stunning natural beauty. Iceland is situated on a constructive plate boundary, resulting in the generation of spectacular natural formations, shapes and colors as molten basalt protrudes from within the Earth’s surface. The basalt then reacts with icy fresh air, leading to the production of unique and uniformed columns, symbolized by the red columns situated on the true-blue and electric blue base of the jersey. To complement the jersey, the kit also features true-blue and electric-blue shorts and socks.

 

Adorned on the jersey is the newly developed KSI logo taking inspiration from the guardian spirits of Iceland. The new logo represents solidarity and protecting one’s position, the home turf other teams should fear. The spirit symbols are famous in Icelandic folklore paying tribute to the country’s fighting spirit and heritage. The logo features a modern version of the guardian spirits, showcasing the four spirits intertwined to form a single entity, the bull, the giant, the vulture and the dragon. 

The new KSI Home kit will be available for pre-sale on August 10th and will be on sale instore August 21st on PUMA.com, at PUMA retailers and at select retailers worldwide.

PUMA PRESENTS THE NEW VALENCIA HOME, AWAY AND THIRD KITS
PUMA has today unveiled the Valencia Home, Away and Third kits for the 20/21 season under the banner ‘Born from Bravery’. This motto serves as the inspiration for all three Valencia kits. Each new kit is influenced by an iconic person or place synonymous with the city, having been an example of improvement and influence throughout the world. The three influences are; the Silk Exchange, the orange industry and the painter Joaquín Sorolla. The three new kits utilize patterns, prints and colors inspired by the multicultural blends that define the city and will influence future generations.

The new Valencia Home kit features a striking print inspired by the ribbed vault of the emblematic Silk Exchange building located in the heart of the city. The Home kit is a celebration of the city’s culture, which is a vital part of the club’s DNA. The jersey color is Valencia’s traditional white with black sleeves.

 

The new Valencia Away kit is inspired by Valencia’s famous orange industry, a huge part of the city’s culture and economy. The jersey incorporates a unique print on a vibrant orange base featuring a navy stripe running down the shoulders.

 

The Valencia Third kit is inspired by the famous painter Joaquín Sorolla. The incredible design and color scheme of the jersey represent the light capturing the Mediterranean. This was a style and theme used by Joaquín Sorolla in many of his paintings. The jersey features a soft print in a combination of grey, lavender and sky blue.
