TIMELESS CLASSICS REIMAGINED: PUMA AND THIERRY HENRY SHOWCASE THE NEWEST DROP OF THE MMQ LINE
Global sports company PUMA has given the brand’s premium MMQ line a colorful update to create a timeless collection of classic sportswear, which is presented by football legend Thierry Henry.

The second part of the MMQ line – which takes its name from the German initials of PUMA’s classic “Made with Quality” slogan – comes in seasonal shades of blue, orange, and green, a color palette inspired by the Baltic Sea.

 

“I like the original colors,” Thierry Henry said when asked about the latest MMQ release. “The classic design and the choice of materials give the MMQ line a premium feel.”

The apparel focused line includes fall ready pieces like a half-zip mock neck sweatshirt, a zip-up hoodie, tees, and sweats as well as a seasonal shell jacket in two colorways, with a two-way full zip closure, center front flap with metal snap buttons, detachable hood, and stormCELL weather protection.

Red Bull Racing Honda Team Drivers stand out in PUMA’s Special Edition Mariachi race suits
Global sports company PUMA has made special edition race suits in the traditional Mariachi look for Red Bull Racing Honda Team drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The eye-catching design pays homage to Sergio Perez home Grand Prix in Mexico this weekend.

The inspiration for the race suits comes from the traditional outfits, Mexican Mariachi musicians wear during their performances. The special edition race gear features decorations on the side and around the chest pocket, reminiscent of the remarkable look which has been typical of Mariachi bands since the 18th century. A typical red tie and ribbon around the hips complete Max and “Checo’s” race attire design.

The race suit comes in Night Sky Blue, with decorations and logos popping out in white.

The three parties have teamed up to release a three-piece capsule to celebrate the unique perceptions of Utopia in football. HITS FROM THE ARCHIVE: PUMA RELEASES THE NEVERWORN CAPSULE
Global sports brand PUMA is releasing The NeverWorn capsule, taking old-school favorites and bringing them back for the collectors of today and tomorrow.

The PUMA Archive is a sportswear and sneaker fan’s dream. This never-ending source of design inspiration serves as a creative treasure trove for new ideas and the basis of The NeverWorn capsule. Never worn and preserved for decades, deadstock products gain an authentic and visually satisfying look over time, an effect which has been replicated across The NeverWorn sneaker offering. Designs come in a modern fabric mix combined with vintage-looking looking materials, retro detailing, and graphics.

 

“The Archive is our passion and symbolizes for me the most important thing: to learn from the old to create something new – without heritage there is no future,” says PUMA Chief Archivist Helmut Fischer. “You show the people what we already had, and as time goes on, we create something new out of it. The Archive is PUMA’s soul out of which those new products are being created.”

Two iconic silhouettes from the PUMA Archive are making a comeback just in time for this new line - the Blaze of Glory and Slipstream Lo. These classic footwear styles are infused with fresh design inspiration, yet keep an old school feel with details like a faded sole and hang tags that give reference to an archive, looking as if the product had been cataloged and on the shelves for years. ‘FLUTUR’: THE NEW CAPSULE BY PUMA AND DUA LIPA IS COMING SOON

PUMA and global pop superstar, Dua Lipa continue to thrill fans, announcing their first product collaboration – a limited-release capsule called “Flutur”. Dropping on Saturday, December 18th, this 90’s inspired, four-piece capsule of both apparel and footwear is a tease of what’s to come in 2022, when a full collection is released.

The collaboration features a new logo that is symbolic of the partnership, bringing together Dua’s name and the PUMA formstrip which transforms into an iridescent butterfly.

 

“For me butterflies are more than just beautiful creatures, they represent so much, like transformation, hope, and metamorphisis, over this past year the butterfly has become especially symbolic and meaningful to me” said Lipa. “The name of the capsule, ‘Flutur’, is the Albanian word for butterfly. I chose it to pay homage to my heritage while also celebrating this new beginning with PUMA.”

 

The iridescent logo is the centerpiece of the capsule, predominantly featured on the easy-to-wear silhouettes including black and white baby tees, as well as a black oversized hoodie. The highlight of the PUMA x Dua Lipa “Flutur” capsule is the Mayze, one of her favorite shoes from the brand. The triple-black leather Mayze Flutur has a stacked midsole, zig-zag stitching on the formstip, Dua Lipa’s signature logo on both the tongue and the insole, in addition to two lace options.

“It was important for Dua to release staple pieces that would complement any wardrobe. She knew what she wanted and brought those ideas to the table," says Maria Jose Valdes, General Manager of PUMA’s Sportstyle Business Unit. "This capsule is just a tease to what’s to come next year, we’ve been working around the clock with Dua to bring to life all of her ideas. It has been a pleasure to work with her, she truly is a style icon.”

 

The campaign was captured by German photographer Daniel Sannwald, who in the past has worked with some of the most important and influencial musicians, including Lipa. His creative genius transports us to this psychedelic fairy tale where we see Dua’s metamorphosis from the chrysalis emerging into a butterfly, from darkness to technicolor. She was shot against a black and white backdrop, with colorful lighting and visual effects that helped create this magical transformation, a true reflection of the product design and inspiration.

PUMA and Randomevent team up for daring streetwear collection
Sports company PUMA has teamed up with Chinese label Randomevent for a daring streetwear collection, combining urban and street styles with graphics in unexpected places and rich colors.

Established in 2012 by fashionable clothing enthusiasts, Randomevent wants its products to influence the life of its consumers and believes that clothes are all about attitude.

The collection consists of the PUMA’s CELL Alien Randomevent sneaker, which features unique detailing such as a yellow PUMA Formstrip with a print and special labels highlighting the collection statement ‘make things worse but cool’.

 

On the apparel side, the PUMA x Randomevent AOP Windbreaker combines street style and art with all over printed fabric, while the PUMA x Randomevent Bomber Jacket stands out with highly visible prints and embroideries on the back. Other design elements include small flowers, representing the good things in life, as well as the rabbits and carrots Randomevent previously introduced in its ‘Melting Sadness’ project. Puma and Paul Stanley rock on with new collection
Sports company PUMA has teamed up with rock and roll legend Paul Stanley of KISS, to create a collection of footwear, apparel and accessories with eye-catching animal prints and glam rock inspired details.

Known for his theatrical style and iconic songwriting, Paul Stanley dominated the hard rock and glam scene during the ‘70s and ‘80s. Joining PUMA for a second time, Stanley worked closely with the design team to add his unique touch and heart to the PUMA x Paul Stanley collection, which features some of PUMA’s favorites, decked out in Stanley’s signature stars as well as shiny hits of silver and gold.

The Ralph Sampson Mid x Paul Stanley showcases a faux fur upper and printed suede on the side, rounded up with metallic Velcro straps across the forefoot and metal studs across the Formstrip. The collection also includes Stanley’s interpretation of the GV Special that comes in two different upper options, one done with a metallic leather mix and leopard-printed midsole, and the other with a mix of leather and faux fur overlays as well as a zebra-printed midsole.
