Your Talent
BS or MS in Kinesiology, Engineering, Biomechanics, or a related field.
1-3 years' experience in footwear research; experience in footwear is a plus
Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
Proven experience working with human subjects, experience working with athletes is a plus.
Strong technical skills with biomechanical & physiological equipment (3D motion capture, force plates, IMUs, pressure insoles, indirect calorimetry)
Experience with data processing using Visual3D and Matlab/Python
Excellent organization and time management skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
Your Mission
As a Junior Manager in Research and Sport Science, you will support the design, execution, and analysis of biomechanical and physiological tests to drive product initiatives for our innovation team. Your primary focus will be —but not limited to— running and track and field footwear. You will play a key role in translating research findings to a multidisciplinary team, directly relating findings to footwear design and athlete performance.
- Support the Sr. Manager with internal and external programs to deliver sports science insights that increase the understanding of the athlete and athlete-product interaction.
- Assist in the PUMA NITRO™ Lab collecting and processing human subject data focused on performance.
- Leverage scientific expertise to develop and implement protocols that deliver actionable performance insights.
- Recruit and schedule participants for lab testing.
- Analyze biomechanical data and prepare scientific reports based on findings.
- Support in translation and communication of results to key stakeholders.
- Work with the innovation team to translate insights into performance footwear solutions.
