Your Talent
- Bachelor degree or above
- At least 6 years of experience at Merchandiser / Buyer / Planner level
- Previous branded Retail experience preferred (ideally in sporting goods industry in China)
- Knowledge and experience with merchandising systems is preferable
- Excellent communication skills, detail-minded
- Able to work independently
- Logical thinking
- Ability to negotiate effectively whilst maintaining
Your Mission
- Manage the buy plan and monthly forecast processes to achieve company financial and merchandising objectives, including sales, inventory, shipments, and turn. Set short term & long term financial goals by BU
- Ensure departmental plans and SKU buys to meet financial objectives, as well as support the company’s special product and tiered merchandising strategies. Data and information hub for all business units. Manage forecast and data across different BU and ensure submission on time
- Review performance by location, style and category. Set up optimum systems, tools, and processes to enable KPI reporting (sell through, APS, stock turn, gross profit)
- Review “Concept Store and RXS” assortment plan (quarterly), provide buy proposals and give retail merchandise expert advice to merchandising team; Develop location assortment plans by department by category based on trend, store profiles and seasonal conversion
- Compile and analyze merchandise / location past performance data and identify missed opportunities; Analyze sell-in, sell-out, and sell-thru data to support merchandising teammates to make sound judgement on buys (top up qty, finding substitutes or cancel) to maximize revenue; Analyse monthly analysing sales data (sell-through) of PUMA Franchise’s stores. Develop and manage product sales and inventory reports
- Review FOB process, GP targets and sourcing to track possible up/down trend; Develop planning process improvements, standardizations and best practices
- Attend Quarterly pre-line meeting and recommend the product needs, product flow and pricing strategies relevant to the market
- Lead and drive the order management team to ensure that the final buy placed is sufficient to meet our seasonal financial targets; Monitor closely with operations to ensure on time delivery and alert related parties in case of late arrival of key initiatives products
- Drive the IT team to ensure that planning requirements are supported
