Your Talent:

  • CPA/CA qualified with 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or a similar role (Retail/FMCG experience favourable).
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, AASB), tax legislation, and ASIC requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Advanced Excel skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organised, process-driven mindset with resilience and adaptability.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring financial teams.

Your Mission

We’re looking for a hands on Financial Controlling Manager to ensure the financial health and compliance of our PUMA businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

Your Role:

  • Oversee the generation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to local and regional stakeholders.
  • Ensure financial records comply with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and annual statutory accounts in line with AASB and IFRS reporting standards.
  • Manage cashflow reporting and analysis, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide support on tax compliance matters and collaborate with internal and external auditors.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting systems, and workflows across Finance and Retail.
  • Leverage technology and automation solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage and mentor the financial controlling team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee insurance administration and management.
