Capping off the collection, a Bucket Hat extends the JER-SHE design language, reinforcing the capsule’s bold aesthetic.

PUMA Hoops & LaMelo Ball Join Forces with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a Totally Tubular Takeover

PUMA Hoops is teaming up with everyone’s favorite pizza-loving, skateboarding, crime-fighting team, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to release a suite of reimagined basketball sneakers with PUMA athlete LaMelo Ball. Dropping throughout February, the collaboration will feature four limited-edition, collectible colorways from Ball’s signature line. 

The pack includes the MB.01 Baxter Stockman, a multi-colored iridescent sneaker inspired by the half-man, half-fly, mad scientist. The second limited-edition drop embodies Donatello & Raphael in a unique mismatched MB.04 design, followed by the MB.04 Leonardo & Michelangelo, with each Turtle represented through their distinct bandana colors. The final drop is a hot pink and purple MB.03 model, dedicated to alien supervillain, Krang.

The collection’s MB.01 Baxter Stockman and MB.03 Lo Krang feature PUMA Hoops’ signature technology. NITROFOAM found throughout the midsole offers superior responsiveness and comfort while remaining lightweight. “The details and Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the shoe are my favorite attributes. The kids love Melo and a lot of them want to be just like him. It’s basically the idea of symbiosis. The kid puts on the shoe, and they are enveloped by all of Melo’s attributes, rarities and One-of-one-ness.”

Key performance features of the MB.04 silhouette include the 4D printing technology which allows zoned out durability and enhances the shoes breathability. Stylized TPU support in the forefoot have been incorporated for added stability throughout the silhouette. Each shoe includes a distinctive heel logo that connects to its colorway and story. Compression-molded EVA foam provides superior responsiveness and cushioning while maintaining a lightweight profile, an added benefit for hoopers. Engineered mesh upper, for added comfort, and a Melo-fied external heel cap have been included for a signature touch.

This 2024 Hoops campaign is all about seeing the game differently and invites all to see the game like we do: determined to win, ready to show out, and playing for the joy of the game. The campaign features PUMA Hoops athletes Breanna Stewart, Flau’jae Johnson, Scoot Henderson, LaMelo Ball, and the brand’s most recent signee Tyrese Haliburton, and draws upon each player’s unique perspective on the game. Calling all sneakerheads! PUMA Hoops and LaMelo Ball are unveiling their first-ever lifestyle shoe for LaMelo Ball. LaFrancé, created in collaboration with LaMelo Ball, gets its inspiration and name from his official lifestyle brand specializing in designer streetwear.

The LaFrancé silhouette represents a new take on Melo – an elevated, chunky street inspired take to off-court fashion fueled by his fierce flare and energy. Inspired by the chunky silhouettes of 90s and early 2000s skate footwear, the LaFrancé, silhouette is an off-court icon.

This supersized sneaker features exaggerated proportions, a chunky zig-zag lace closure, ultra-wide laces, and a well-padded tongue for ultimate comfort. “LF” and “La France” can be found inscripted on the mega tongue as well as imprinted into the latest silhouettes ultra-thick sole.  The classic cup sole has been spiced up with floating ovals throughout, which are decorated with iconic graphics.
