Your Talent

  • University degree in Design and/or relevant field of study. At least 5-8 years of work experience of designing for one or more leading fashion/lifestyle/sports brand, ideally in the fashion, athletic/footwear industry. 
  • Versatile designer who has experience designing products across men’s, women’s and children’s products. 
  • Professional experience working in team environment, ability to function autonomously as well as in a cooperative, diverse group. 
  • Professional working experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. 3D Design a big benefit but not essential. 
  • Tremendous attention to detail and extraordinary time-management skills. 
  • Strategic and creative thinking, strong initiative, passionate about product, strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • Hands on Footwear development experience. Fluent in English, fluent in Mandarin a plus but not essential.

Your Mission

  • Contribute to the formulation of the annual product design plan for the product category and introduce and execute innovative design ideas, in order to achieve Business targets and product category objectives. 
  • Create Early Bird projects looking to progress the Sportstyle footwear range, both proactively as well as in collaboration with the Herzogenaurach based Design and PLM teams. 
  • Work on short timeline projects briefed directly from the PLM teams based in Herzogenaurach HQ. 
  • Work closely with the development team and suppliers in Asia to both source, brief in and develop new materials in line with the creative direction and commercial needs. 
  • Ensure the quality of products' design content in order to reinforce and strengthen the brand position and generate consumer demand. 
  • Lead by example, mentor and coach more junior team members on the job. 
  • Produce accurate and detailed tech packs for total new products including color and material specs to factory standards as well as travel to factories to finalize prototypes when needed.
  • Research markets, trade shows and competition for trends and inspiration and provide trip reports. 
  • Creation of dynamic seasonal color and material packs that are both commercial, consumer and trend relevant, in conjunction with the Teamhead & Creative Direction.
