Your Talent
Degree holder in Textiles
At least 7-10 years of relevant experience with multiple brands or good size textile mills
Very strong sourcing base with mills in Taiwan, China, HK and other Asian countries
Good command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent command of English
Good trouble shooter
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent technical knowledge of fabrics/ finishes / prints
Should have good experience on both woven as well as knit.
Excellent costing skills on materials (Details on Yarn, dyeing, finish costing)
Your Mission
- Material development (fabric). Source new suppliers per company’s requirements /Material strategy. Assist group head of materials on key materials projects
- Work extensively on Material Toolbox project and help consolidate materials
- Recommended substitute/ better fabrics, wherever possible in order to have better product at better price
- Market intelligence & research on innovative materials/finishes
- Maintain library for new collections, seasonal hangers & for approved swatches Maintain and update all on new Material Repository system as part of Material Management team
- Maintain a supplier matrix based on different suppliers strengths, capabilities, capacities , product offerings etc.
- Review prices with fabrics suppliers in line with seasonal targets
