Your mission

The Director of Engineering - Core Commerce Platform owns the technology foundation that powers every commercial transaction in our DTC ecosystem. This role carries direct product technology accountability for a portfolio of mission-critical commerce capabilities.

This is a platform-first, API-first engineering leadership role. You will architect and deliver a composable commerce foundation built on best-in-class packaged solutions and open-source technologies ensuring every capability is pluggable, scalable, and reusable across channels. AI-native engineering is not optional: you will embed intelligent automation, agentic workflows, and AI-driven decision-making into the commerce engine itself.

As PUMA continues to scale its DTC Engineering organization, our leaders are expected to be visible culture builders. Key Responsibilities & Scope of Ownership:

  • Basket & Checkout - cart management, checkout orchestration, address, tax, and shipping services.

  • Payments - payment gateway integrations, payment method management, fraud signals, refunds, and reconciliation.

  • Cross Channel Inventory Availability - A centralized availability layer acting as the single source of truth across all channels, governed by real-time ATP calculation and network/channel segmentation.

  • Omnichannel Order Management System (OMS) - order lifecycle, inventory allocation, split fulfilment, returns and exchanges.

  • Post-Order - fulfilment tracking, consumer notifications, returns portal, and post-purchase experience.

  • Membership & Loyalty - tier management, points engine, rewards redemption, and member identity.

  • Social & Agentic Commerce - conversational commerce, social checkout integrations, AI agents for purchase assistance and order management.

API-First & Composable Commerce Architecture

  • Define and execute a composable, API-first commerce architecture ensuring every capability is exposed as a clean, versioned, and well-documented API consumable by any channel (web, mobile, voice, agentic).

  • Own the composable commerce reference architecture for DTC: MACH-aligned (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) services that integrate seamlessly with SFCC, Fluent Commerce, and APIGEE.

  • Design for pluggability that ensures payment providers, fulfilment partners, and loyalty engines can be swapped or extended with minimal coupling.

  • API governance - versioning strategy, deprecation policy, and contract testing.

Technology Vision & Product Roadmap Delivery

  • Own the technology strategy and engineering roadmap for the Core Commerce Platform, delivered in partnership with the product organisation.

  • Translate business requirements for checkout optimisation, payment success rates, loyalty growth, and fulfilment efficiency into technical solutions.

  • Balance investment between packaged solution capabilities (SFCC, Fluent Commerce) and custom open-source components by making principled build/configure/extend/buy decisions.

  • Lead the technical strategy for Social Commerce integrations (Instagram, WhatsApp commerce, TikTok Shop) and Agentic Commerce.

Packaged Solutions & Open-Source Engineering

  • Technical & strategic ownership of Fluent Commerce OMS configuration, customisation, and integration including order routing rules, inventory network design, SLA management.

  • Lead Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform engineering for commerce services.

  • Drive payments engineering: integration with payment gateways (e.g. Adyen, Razorpay), tokenisation, alternative payment methods, and reconciliation.

  • Lead the Membership & Loyalty platform - ensure real-time points, tier transitions, and reward redemption work at scale.

AI-Native Commerce Engineering

  • Embed AI natively into the commerce platform: intelligent checkout assistance, AI-powered fraud scoring, automated order exception handling, and demand-aware inventory allocation.

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of Agentic Commerce capabilities.

  • Partner with the Consumer Intelligence & Engagement team to ensure commerce events feed personalisation and intelligence loops.

  • Apply AI to operational excellence - anomaly detection in payment flows, automated reconciliation, smart fulfilment routing.

Scalability, Reliability & Governance

  • Own SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for all Core Commerce Platform services by ensuring 99.99%+ availability for checkout and payments during peak commerce events.

  • Lead capacity planning, load testing, chaos engineering, and disaster recovery for commerce-critical services.

  • Establish security standards for PCI-DSS compliance in payments, data encryption, and consumer PII protection across commerce services.

  • Drive engineering standards and governance across the organisation's codebases and third-party integrations.

Your talent

Key Requirements:

  • 15+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years leading platform or commerce engineering organisations with direct product delivery accountability.

  • Deep expertise in composable commerce architecture - microservices, event-driven systems, API-first design, and MACH principles.

  • Deep architectural and implementation experience with Order Management Systems - ideally Fluent Commerce, or strong equivalent (Salesforce OMS, IBM Sterling, Kibo).

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform engineering background will be a plus.

  • APIGEE (or equivalent API gateway) experience - design, governance, traffic management, and developer portal management.

  • Payments domain expertise - gateway integrations, PCI-DSS compliance, 3DS2, tokenisation, alternative payment methods.

  • Proven track record of driving innovation, with a strong architectural understanding of how to integrate LLMs and agentic frameworks into enterprise transactional systems.

  • Strong open-source engineering background - comfortable selecting, extending, and contributing to open-source commerce and platform components.

  • Experience in Membership & Loyalty platforms - points engines, tier logic, reward fulfilment.

  • Experience with Social Commerce integrations (Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok) and/or conversational/agentic commerce implementations.

  • Familiarity with GraphQL Federation for composable API delivery across commerce services.

  • Track record of managing high-availability commerce systems through peak trading events (e.g. Black Friday, sale events).

  • PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, or equivalent security compliance experience.

  • Own the product discovery engineering stack: search indexing, query understanding, faceted navigation, and results ranking - integrating AI-powered relevance signals to measurably improve discovery outcomes.

  • Build the technical foundation for A/B testing, multivariate experimentation, and feature flagging across personalisation and discovery surfaces, enabling rigorous data-driven optimisation.

  • Define and own the data contract between consumer event infrastructure and personalisation/ranking systems, including schema standards, latency requirements, and completeness in partnership with data engineering and analytics.

Content Management & PDP/PLP Engineering

  • Own the engineering of content management infrastructure including Sanity CMS content modelling, editorial workflows, content delivery APIs, and multi-channel distribution.

  • Lead PDP and PLP engineering: page composition, product attribute rendering, media and asset delivery, enriched content blocks, and SEO-critical technical requirements.

  • Leverage AI to accelerate and enrich content workflows - automated product description generation, attribute enrichment, image tagging, and content QA tooling built on top of LLM APIs.

  • Ensure content and product page experiences are performant, accessible, and composable by building reusable ReactJS front-end components that other product teams can extend.

Promotions, Campaigns & Consumer Communications

  • Lead the engineering of promotions and campaign management - rules engine configuration and extension within SFCC, offer scheduling, eligibility logic, and storefront rendering of promotional content.

  • Own the technical architecture for consumer communication systems - integration with messaging platforms (email, push, SMS), personalisation of communication content, and event-triggered automation.

  • Apply AI to campaign and promotions engineering: intelligent audience segmentation, send-time optimisation, and AI-assisted copy generation for targeted consumer communications.

  • Instrument campaigns and promotions with robust analytics and tracking, ensuring business teams have accurate, real-time visibility into performance and conversion.

AI-Enabled Engineering

  • Champion AI as a pragmatic engineering enabler using AI-assisted development tools, automated testing, and code generation to increase engineering velocity and code quality.

Position Summary: The Area Retail Associate (ARA) supports the Area Sales Manager by ensuring operational excellence, brand consistency, and sales performance across multiple PUMA SIS in a designated region. This role acts as a bridge between store teams and area leadership, helping drive store execution, training, and compliance.

Key Objectives:

1.Store Support & Operations:- • Assist multiple SIS with day-to-day operational requirements.

2.Sales Performance & Targets:- • Track SIS-level KPIs • Support SIS Staff in achieving sales targets through improved service and selling skills. • Analyze SIS performance and share insights with the Area Sales Manager.

3.Visual Merchandising:- • Ensure VM standards are implemented consistently across all SIS. • Coordinate with VM team for execution of seasonal updates, campaigns, and product launches. • Audit SIS display quality and provide corrective action plans.

4.Inventory & Stock Management:- • Assist SIS in stock replenishment, stock counts, and shrinkage control. • Identify fast/slow-moving products & support stock balancing across stores. • Report stock gaps and discrepancies to the Area Manager.

5.Training & Team Development:- • Conduct on-floor training for new and existing Retail Associates. • Reinforce product knowledge, customer service expectations, and selling skills. • Support performance coaching for SIS staff.

Position Title: Inbound Operations Executive Warehouse (Third Party Payroll)
Location: Luhari, Gurgaon
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager

Role Purpose: Own day-to-day inbound logistics execution from gate-in to dock-to-stock. Ensure accurate receiving, quality checks, GRN posting, labeling, and put-away in line with SOPs, safety, and TAT/accuracy SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving & Quality Checks
  • Coordinate vehicle/dock scheduling with transport partners and security.
  • Supervise unloading; perform count & visual checks (damage, seal integrity, batch/lot, MRP, expiry/FEFO).
  • Raise shortage/damage and escalate discrepancies promptly.
  • Documentation & System Transactions
  • Verify and reconcile PO / ASN / Delivery Note / Invoice before posting.
  • Post GRN in WMS/ERP within SLA; capture variances and remarks.
  • Ensure items are labeled, palletized, and barcoded as per standards for put-away.
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Put-Away & Inventory Control
  • Execute scan-based put-away to system-directed bins.
  • Support daily stock reconciliations and variance justifications.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits; coordinate with Finance for Goods Receipt support and document completeness.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Liaise with factory, sourcing, transporters, QA, PO, SAP, LEA and Planning, to resolve inbound issues.
  • Provide timely updates on delays, damages, and escalations to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Drive adherence to SOPs, safety, 5S, and compliance (company and regulatory).
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Publish daily inbound MIS: receipts vs plan, dock-to-stock time, GRN TAT, damages, and accuracy.
  • Suggest and support small kaizens in receiving, staging, and put-away to reduce TAT/costs and improve accuracy.

Education

Experience

Technical
