Your Talent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, or related field.

  • 2-4 years of professional footwear or fashion/accessory design experience, with a strong focus on color, materials and treatments. Product & Design abilities a plus.

  • Technical knowledge related to footwear materials, trims, treatments, and constructions that align with the product development process.

  • Strong merchandising abilities with the ability to create well balanced interest packs and collections.

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging global fashion trends and how they translate into product.

  • Exceptional visual storytelling skills—mood boards, material palettes, color forecasting, etc.

  • Strong sketching, rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite skills.

  • Experience working with global product creation teams and factory partners.

  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • A clear point of view and the confidence to push creative boundaries while balancing commercial goals.

  • Up to 15% domestic and/or international travel

Your Mission

PUMA is seeking a passionate and creative Footwear Designer II with a strong focus on color, material, and storytelling to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will help shape the visual and emotional identity of our products by crafting compelling footwear packs aimed to inspire and connect with consumers. You will bring fresh ideas, hands-on material exploration, and strong design instincts to create collections that push boundaries and reflect the brand’s vision. This role will focus on delivering compelling, innovative CMF (Color, Material, Finish) concepts that resonate globally and drive cultural relevance in our regional marketplace. You’ll translate your passion for design and storytelling into impactful product experiences for the modern consumer.

  • Research global fashion, art, culture, and sneaker trends to stay ahead of market shifts and identify emerging influences.

  • Design and develop color and material concepts across multiple footwear lines with an emphasis on seasonal stories and cohesive pack narratives, aligning with brand strategy, resonating with target consumers and meeting cost and margin requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners in Design, Product Line Management and Development to translate insights into bold, consumer-relevant footwear stories catering to regional needs, bring concepts to life from ideation to final product.

  • Lead the material selection process, exploring new and innovative materials, finishes, and constructions aimed to elevate product across a competitive landscape.

  • Build color and material palettes that are both trend-forward and rooted in brand identity.

  • Create and deliver mood boards, color CADs, material maps, and physical mock-ups to clearly communicate design vision when applicable, meeting tight deadlines.

  • Participate in material and trend research trips, trade shows, and inspiration travel to stay ahead of trends and innovations.

  • Build visually captivating presentations to communicate design narratives and material innovations to cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Participate in and lead seasonal trend reviews and consumer-focused brainstorming sessions.

  • Maintain an expert understanding of the local market competitive landscape and brand positioning to ensure connection with consumers.

Your Mission

  • Oversee the design execution for Special Make Up products for Sportstyle Footwear RCC EMEA ( Regional Creation Center EMEA) with a great focus on color and materials expertise, in line with PUMA's seasonal development calendar
  • Work with Product Line Managers and Development to develop unique and relevant collection based and stand alone color and material footwear designs and product stories, respecting the seasonal creative direction, for the EMEA Region and support the team in preparing and presenting these to key accounts
  • Represent your design areas as design spokesperson at internal and external meetings
  • Drive a close cooperation with designers from inline, other RCC designers and other product areas (Apparel & Accessories) to ensure strong collaboration and 360 design concepts when needed
  • Manage, support, motivate, coordinate and develop the assigned RCC EMEA design team, including  hiring, yearly performance appraisal process, goal setting, budget planning, redundancies
  • Provide strategic design and related support to Sr Director RCC EMEA
  • International and domestic travel as required for Key Account meetings, market research, trend and inspiration trips, consumer insights and factories/development centers.

Your Talent

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Design or related field.

  • 5+ year’s experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products.

  • Technical and aesthetic understanding as well as knowledge and experience with performance-based products and trend relevant detailing.

  • Experience in international footwear product development and manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of form, color, materials, and human factors related to elevating the consumer experience.

  • Strong knowledge of and passion for the sports industry, especially basketball and new industry technologies.

  • Extensive knowledge of domestic and international retail, consumer trend, and product line dynamics.

  • Exceptional sketching skills.

Your Mission

The Senior Designer will design both on-court performance and culturally relevant footwear for the global Basketball business unit in our North American headquarters in Somerville, Massachusetts. As a Senior Designer, you will collaborate with PUMA athletes and partners to build innovative products that drive forward the future design direction of PUMA Hoops.

  • Create designs and technical specification packages that help lead the direction for PUMA’s Basketball footwear design.

  • Assist in the seasonal story, color, and material directions alongside an apparel and graphics creative team.

  • Work directly with PUMA Hoops athletes and outside partners to build collaborative product ranges.

  • Consistently deliver innovative and appropriate disruptive design solutions to meet the briefed requirements.

  • Demonstrate high level of understanding of brand directives.

Your Mission

  • Work closely with Korean region and responsible for all line design, including Select/ Special Make up / Rapid Response Design creation for Key Accounts, Puma Retail, and Outlet or any account when required.
  • Understand the region’s trends and market direction to ensure all designed for the regions are brand relevant.
  • Under the direction of the Teamhead/ Creative Director, collect market intelligence, providing all involved with accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments and utilizes them effectively.
  • Identify functionality requirements and ensure accurate use of information technology systems in order to gain competitive advantage
