PUMA signs partnership with Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football
PUMA has signed a new multi-year partnership with the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football, adding the country to its increasing portfolio of national team federations. PUMA will once again team up with the ‘Atlas Lions’, having already adorned the country’s jerseys on two previous occasions.

Puma signs long-term partnership with PSV Eindhoven

Sports company PUMA has entered into a new long-term partnership with PSV Eindhoven, one of the Netherlands most successful football clubs. Under the terms of the deal, PUMA will become the official kit supplier of the club, starting in July 2020.

PUMA SIGNS WORLD CUP WINNER AND CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RECORD BREAKER RAPHAËL VARANE
Global sports company PUMA has signed a long-term partnership with Real Madrid and France national team star Raphaël Varane. As one of the fastest defenders in world football, Varane will step into the PUMA ULTRA silo, PUMA’s lightweight speed boot.  

Having made waves as one of the best defensive prospects in football, Varane made his international debut at just 19 years old, going on to make over 70 appearances for his country. He represented France in both the 2014 World Cup, where he was nominated for the Best Young Player award, and the 2018 World Cup, playing in every minute of every game en route to France’s victory.

LUIS SUÁREZ DONATES 500 SIGNED FOOTBALLS TO YOUTH TEAMS FOLLOWING HISTORIC 500 GOAL LANDMARK
Global sports company PUMA has partnered with Uruguay and Atlético de Madrid star Luis Suárez following the player’s historic 500th goal to donate 500 PUMA footballs to youth football teams based in each of the cities where Luis has played during his career. Each football was gifted with a special note from Luis to inspire the next generation of talent.

“I wanted to give back to the seven teams that have shaped me as football player”, said Luis Suárez. “I wanted to give a boost to the youth teams in need of support and equipment to inspire them to follow their dreams. I wanted to pay tribute to the teams, players and fans who have been a part of my journey; Nacional, Groningen, Ajax, Liverpool, Barcelona, Madrid and Uruguay are all very close to my heart, so this was a special tribute to them and their communities.”

In addition to his donation, Luis has included a special message to each club in a letter he has shared with his social media followers after scoring his 500th goal, thanking each team for their support and the impact each team has had on him both on and off the pitch.

“Breaking the record is an individual honor, but I could never have achieved this feat alone. My teammates and the fans have been there with me every step of the way. Sport unites people and brings communities together. I hope the donation and the letter can bring a smile to people’s faces. Football has given me so much and I would like to give something back to the people”, said Luis Suárez.

To celebrate Luis’s incredible achievement PUMA has produced a special-edition 500 goal FUTURE Z football boot. The next-gen FUTURE Z features a striking design inspired by Luis’s proud Uruguayan heritage. The heel of the boot features a 500 goal motif with Luis’s famous ‘El Pistolero’ logo displayed across the medial side. Targets are showcased across the upper to signify Luis hitting the target 500 times and integrated into the footbed of the boot are the colors of each of the teams Luis has represented throughout his career.

Global sports company PUMA has signed a long-term partnership with FC Bayern München and France star Kingsley Coman. A leader of his generation, Kingsley is one of the most exciting and explosive wingers in world football. SHE’S BACK. SARA BJÖRK RETURNED TO ELITE LEVEL FOOTBALL THIS WEEKEND FOLLOWING THE BIRTH OF HER CHILD

Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir has defied the odds and battled through many hurdles to make her long awaited return to elite level football this weekend when Olympique Lyonnais faced Dijon in Ligue 1 Féminine.

An extraordinary four months after giving birth to her son, Sara returned to the pitch to crown off an incredible journey that has seen her achieve the goal she had set herself when she first learned of her pregnancy.

Back in September of 2021, Sara began working closely with PUMA to document her journey as she prepared to give birth and attempt to return to elite level sport. The journey has featured blogs and social content amplified through PUMA’s ‘She Moves Us’ platform to raise more awareness of the difficulties female athlete’s still face when becoming pregnant.

Many athletes encounter challenges and uncertainty over their careers when faced with the prospect of pregnancy. Many athletes struggle due to lack or support with early retirement a reality for most. Due to the stigma and issues female athletes have faced, Sara wanted to inspire a generation of female athletes to not give up on their dreams and to push for change at all levels to help athletes who want to start a family and return to play at the highest level.

Sara’s journey will culminate in the release of a special documentary later in 2022. The short film will give unprecedented access to Sara’s story and give insight to the challenges female athletes face when deciding to start a family.
