Your Talent

  • Degree in economics or a related field​

  • 7 - 12 years of professional experience in strategic sourcing and indirect procurement, ideally with strong knowledge of fashion retail and/or consumer goods​

  • Entrepreneurial, team- and leadership-oriented, and proactive personality with strong intercultural competence​

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams​

  • Proven ability to build and scale functions, including structure, systems, and governance​

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a structured approach to work​

  • Strong communication and networking abilities to position indirect procurement function among stakeholders​

  • Very good knowledge in the use of MS Office​

  • Business fluent in English, both written and spoken, German is a strong plus, additional foreign language(s) advantageous

Your Mission

The Director Indirect Procurement defines and leads the strategic direction of the Indirect Procurement Office (IPO), building up and scaling organizational integration and structural changes, supporting long-term value creation through sourcing strategies, structural cost management, and supplier partnerships. This includes aligning IPO with corporate strategy, owning target delivery, and institutionalizing indirect procurement as a business partner across functions and regions.

  • Lead the IPO function, shaping its long-term vision, mission, mandate, structure, and impact​
  • Represent IPO on top management level and actively drive its positioning within PUMA and externally​
  • Create strong cross-functional partnerships with other departments and top management stakeholders​
  • Define and communicate the indirect procurement strategy aligned with corporate and category strategies​
  • Define overall targets and KPIs for the IPO and monitor the purchasing performance receiving regular reports from functional level and the Manager Indirect Procurement​
  • Supervise the preparation of regular reports for top management highlighting IPO performance and achievements​
  • Oversee development of process standards and procurement systems in collaboration with Manager Indirect Procurement​
  • Enable the implementation of purchasing standards in line with the indirect procurement strategy​
  • Oversee strategic purchasing and sourcing activities (e.g., contract negotiations, supplier sourcing and development, RfX procedure) to ensure the selection of reliable and cost-effective sources of supply​
  • Act as primary sponsor and escalation point for IPO driven initiatives in alignment with functional VPs and GMs​
  • Accountable for the definition and management of the overall IPO budgets and manage risks and opportunities (short- and mid-term)​
  • Guide capability building, team development, and future team setup (incl. scaling IPO for 2026+)
