Your Mission

Accounts Payable Manager

We're on the hunt for a hands-on and driven Accounts Payable Manager to take full ownership of the AP function across PUMA Australia and New Zealand – including our Cobra Puma Golf business. With the support of a Credit & AP Manager and a lean team both onshore and offshore, you’ll lead, mentor, and elevate the function while delivering process excellence and ensuring PUMA stays on top of its game.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, loves to streamline, automate and improve – and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves when it counts.

What you’ll do:

This role is equal parts leadership, systems thinking, and operational execution. You’ll be the backbone of our accounts payable function – driving accuracy, compliance, and efficiency at every step. From guiding your team to leading process innovation, your impact will be felt across the business.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing AP team (onshore and offshore), owning performance and development.

  • Drive the end-to-end AP process across ANZ, from invoice approvals and reconciliations to payment runs.

  • Manage local and intercompany invoices, high-volume stock entries, and overseas suppliers – nothing slips past you.

  • Oversee employee and credit card expenses via Zoho, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

  • Own the accuracy and integrity of vendor data and AP records, with audit readiness always front of mind.

  • Champion process improvements and support automation and system upgrades.

  • Be the go-to for vendor queries, internal escalations, and building strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and reporting requirements.

What You’ll Be Driving:

Pre-Season Strategy & Demand Planning
You’ll take the reins of our pre-season planning process leading demand reviews and building out a forward-looking 24-month plan. This includes partnering closely with Merchandising, Sales, and Operations to ensure we’re delivering the right product to the right customers at the right time. Your planning will directly shape our commercial success, customer delivery precision, and inventory health.

In-Season Performance & Trade Optimization
Stay on the pulse of in-season performance. You’ll develop dashboards and tools to track sell-in vs sell-through, identify risks and opportunities, and refine our approach in real time. Whether it’s adjusting a range, reconciling orders, or pushing go-to-market decisions you’re the engine room keeping the season humming.

Strategic Planning & Process Elevation
You’ll lead the charge in evolving our planning strategy driving continuous improvement across tools, processes, and insights. Your lens will be both wide and deep: post-launch reviews, Go-To-Market (GTM) performance analysis, and implementing best-practice planning frameworks. You won’t just follow process you’ll make it better.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence

Your Talent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain or a related field

  • 1–2 years’ experience in retail allocation, inventory management or merchandise planning

  • Experience in the fashion, lifestyle, sportswear or consumer goods industries preferred

  • Understanding of bricks-and-mortar and omnichannel retail operations is a plus

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

  • Familiarity with retail allocation systems (e.g. SAP, JDA, Oracle)

  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Basic understanding of ERP systems and inventory management processes

Your Mission

The Allocator plays a vital role in ensuring the right products are in the right stores at the right time. This role supports the merchandising strategy by managing inventory allocation, optimising stock levels, and collaborating with planning, buying, and operations teams to drive sales and profitability.

Please note this is a 6-month fixed term opportunity.

  • Allocate products to stores based on performance, capacity, and regional needs

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure alignment with sales trends and business goals

  • Adjust allocations in response to trading data, store feedback, and market changes

  • Oversee automated replenishment systems and make manual adjustments when needed

  • Resolve stock shortages and overstock issues to maintain healthy inventory levels

  • Support product launches, seasonal events, and promotional campaigns with timely allocations

  • Collaborate with DTC, planning, and merchandising teams to align allocation strategies

  • Communicate with store teams to address inventory queries and gather feedback

  • Analyse allocation results and implement improvements where needed

  • Track and report key metrics including sell-through, stock coverage, and inventory health
