Your mission

Achieve Sales Goals:

Ensure the store meets or exceeds sales, KPIs, and profitability targets.

Customer Experience:

Maintain high standards of customer service in line with PUMA's values.

TeamManagement:                                                                                                          Participate in recruiting, avoid shortage of staff,  Train, develop, and manage high-performing team and employees.

Hold team members accountable through productivity conversations, coaching, recognition, and performance actions.

Support store manager in preparartion for performance appraisal and provide a timely and proper feedback to the tema members through a daily observation of their performance.

Salesfloor Engagement:

Spend 90% of time on the sales floor engaging with customers and coaching employees.

Store Operations (backup store manager responsibilities upon request and/or at manager's absence):

Supervise store performance and daily operations.

Participate in new store openings/closings; travel may be required.

Attend Store Manager Meetings and offsite training as required

Process POS transactions (sales, exchanges, discounts and refunds) accurately

Ensure POS access right are up-to-date and comply with Retail P&Ps.

Identify, interpret, diagnose the performance of the store as based on controllable operational KPI’s  (including but not limited to CR, UPT, ATV) and lead the team accordingly.  

Payroll and Scheduling:

Manage payroll and create schedules to ensure profitability and service quality.

Training Programs:

Ensure completion and effectiveness of training programs.

Loss Prevention:

Oversee loss prevention and operational compliance.

Inventory Management:

Manage inventory, including physical counts and shrink goals.

Compliance and Safety:

Comply with all Policies and Procedures, operational core competencies, and key accountabilities.

Maintain a safe and compliant working environment for all Store Associates and Customers.

Work non-traditional hours as required (weekends, evenings, holidays, overtime).

Sales and Profitability Management:

Achieving or exceeding sales, KPIs, and profitability goals.

Analytical and Performance Management:

Analyzing customer profiles, buying trends, and conducting performance appraisals. Interpreting and diagnosing the store’s performance as based on controllable operational KPI’s (including but not limited to CR, UPT, ATV).

Customer Service:

Maintaining high standards of customer experience in line with brand values.

Leadership and Team Management:

Effective communication skills, Recruiting, training, developing, and managing store staff.

Operational Management:

Handling payroll, scheduling, inventory, and loss prevention.

Salesfloor Engagement:

Spending significant time on the sales floor engaging with customers and coaching employees.

The ability to constantly walk and move about is required. Use of the following senses is critical to this position: speaking, hearing, near and far acuity, depth perception, and field of vision.

Experience in the role:

Minimum of 3 years in a retail environment, with at least 1 year in a managerial or senior retail staff role.

Education:

Minimum completed full school/vocational school education (i.e. high school diploma), or higher.

Your mission

Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the UK&I budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.
  • Consolidate inputs across business units and ensure alignment with Group targets.
  • Maintain financial landing risk and opportunity tracker ensuring clear accountability and progress.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build models to assess the financial impact of external market and internal operational decisions.
  • Provide what-if analysis to support agile decision making.
  • Manage the ROI evaluation and tracking of capital and marketing investments.
  • Own business case reporting ensuring actuals are independently tracked and reported vs plan.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure inventory plans are aligned to financial forecasts and buy plans managed accordingly.
  • Own mid term cash flow planning to ensure liquidity is adequate to support business objectives.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Coordinate submissions to Group Finance, ensuring consistency and compliance with timelines.
  • Work with Financial Accounting team to align management and legal entity views.
  • Coordinate and manage the preparation of presentations for forecast and result meetings, ensuring action and decision points are clearly highlighted and insight driven.
  • Deliver monthly performance reviews and variance analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Standardise reporting templates to ensure consistency in financial outputs across the business.
  • Collaborate with data and BI teams to enhance reporting automation and improve data accuracy.
  • Monitor published KPI dashboards to ensure most appropriate tracking of financial and operational targets.

Your talent

  • ACCA / CIMA
  • 5+ years post qualified experience in FP&A
  • Experience of Subsidiary to Group reporting
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in sports, retail or fashion sectors.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial planning tools.
  • Passion for sports and lifestyle brands
