The debut PUMA x AMI wardrobe is inspired by a new era of achievement - one that doesn’t conform to a specific gender, individual, or appearance. One that challenges our current views, where it isn’t about the accolades of oneself, but about being grateful for the crew that one surrounds themself with, their chosen family. “The partnership with AMI was a no-brainer, their name literally means ‘friend’ and that’s what PUMA is all about – a community, a family,” said Adam Petrick, Global Director of Marketing for PUMA. “We are exceptionally pleased to be able to partner with a creative mind in Alexandre that truly understands the elevation of classic sportswear silhouettes, as well as the creation of community through a positive message.”

With minimalistic branding, a mix of neutral and bold colors, and premium materials, the collection elevates sportswear. The AMI de Coeur, AMI’s signature symbol, is merged with the PUMA logo to make a co-branded graphic that can be seen across pieces in the collection. “I'm very proud of the way we mixed the logos together, I think that the result is very impactful and that while this is a gift for us at AMI, it's a gift for PUMA too.” said Alexandre Mattiussi, Founder and Creative Director of AMI. “This is something that we share, this is what we call friendship. It is a very honest collaboration, not trying too hard, not pretentious.”

Romeo Beckham and Mia Regan are featured in the global launch campaign shot by photographer Eddie Wrey. “What I love the most about them is their energy and their individual style. That and they are clearly in love. Romeo and Mia embody very well the spirit of the collection,” said Mattiussi when asked why the brands selected the couple as the frontrunners for their debut campaign with PUMA.

The collection includes some of PUMA’s classic footwear silhouettes featuring classics like the Slipstream Lo, Suede Crepe, and the newly released Suede Mayu. The apparel includes t-shirts, polos, jackets, hoodies, shorts, crews, pants, and bras that mix and match perfectly to build a full wardrobe. But the collaboration wouldn’t be complete without the accessories – bucket hat, curve caps, shoulder bags, and a grip bag. “I’ve been following Alexandre’s work for some time now. Ever since I started at PUMA, I was thinking of what a great partnership this would be, today, I’m delighted with the result,” said Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director for PUMA. “This was a real and authentic collaboration; both of our teams brought a lot of ideas to the table, and we were able to design a timeless and elevated classic sportswear collection for today’s consumer.”

The PUMA x AMI Collection will be available exclusively in AMI stores starting Match 16th, and globally March 19th on PUMA.com, PUMA stores, amiparis.com and selected retailers.

MUSIC AND SPORT COLLIDE FOR LATEST PUMA X BUTTER GOODS COLLECTION

Global sports company PUMA and Australian skate label Butter Goods are partnering together for a new collection that makes a nod to the ‘90s, drawing inspiration from the ethos of Butter Goods, where skateboarding and music collide – sure to bring about feelings of nostalgia.

Archive-inspired silhouettes with contemporary fits and a strong visual design language combine PUMA’s sportswear DNA with Butter Goods' unorthodox approach. Key details include retro-inspired prints and designs, sports inspired accents, bold all over prints, and utilitarian apparel.

The campaign images showcase the strong influence of music on the Butter Goods brand, shot by photographer and skateboarder Atiba Jefferson (who also happens to be a part-time DJ) on recording artists and producers Liv.e and Mndsgn in a Vintage Synth Museum. The two worked together to create and produce an original song for the campaign, which is showcased in the video ad.

Usain Bolt lends his voice to the campaign video as well, playing an animated Super PUMA, the brand’s retro mascot. The Super PUMA is seen chasing after a butterfly while wearing the Slipstream Lo PUMA x BUTTER GOODS and along the way loses one of his shoes. His journey takes him through nature, eventually finding his shoe, when he peeks inside, he sees Liv.e and Mndsgn, performing the original song. The full video can be viewed HERE.

The PUMA x BUTTER GOODS sophomore collection features their second spin on the PUMA Slipstream Lo, as seen in the campaign video. Available in two colorways, the white version looks like it was plucked straight from the ‘90s, with a speckled sole and accents of purple and green. Butter Goods takes another go at the classic PUMA Suede VTG as well, this time going for a hairy suede look in blue and white colorway options.

Striking graphic co-branding, and retro inspired colorways on the apparel create a standout offering of both classic streetwear and bold, statement looks. One of the most attention-grabbing pieces in the collection is the Polo, arriving in two colorways with a large athlete graphic on the front over a graphic all over print. For a more toned back look, there are items like co-branded hoodies and graphic tees along with accessory staples like a tote, cap, and flatbrim cap.

Founded in Perth, Australia in 2008, Butter Goods exists in a place where skateboarding and music collide and inspired by the different counter cultures that were born through those movements.

The PUMA x BUTTER GOODS collection drops on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers on April 23rd.

MADE WITH QUALITY: THIERRY HENRY WEARS A PREMIUM TAKE ON PUMA’S CLASSIC SPORTSWEAR

Global sports company PUMA is rereleasing its MMQ line, a premium take on classic PUMA sportswear silhouettes. As a collection synonymous with craftsmanship and quality, who better to be the face of the campaign than football legend Thierry Henry.

MMQ, short for “Macht’s mit Qualität” translates to “Made with Quality.” This theme serves as the inspiration for elevated apparel and sneakers within the line. Ushering in a new era of subtlety and quality, this season of MMQ is inspired by minimal Scandinavian design sensibilities featuring expert craftsmanship and elevated construction. Streetwear classics are reinterpreted and refined for modern day in this classic collection.

The timelessness of the MMQ collection is the perfect fit for the legacy of Thierry Henry. The French football legend has become one of the two first players to be inducted into the Premier League’s Hall of Fame, and to this day, his name is synonymous with a distinctly European charm and elegance. He knows how to make a bold statement without shouting about it through his classic and refined style. The high-quality materials, muted tones, and contemporary fits used in the MMQ collection reflect the on and off pitch qualities of Thierry.

“Who is the judge, quality is what you like, quality is what you live for, quality is what represents you,” said Thierry Henry when asked what quality meant to him.

Product designs feature clean lines, muted colors, and elevated materials for a premium take on classic streetwear. Footwear is infused with a material mix including soft-touch textured suede in a color palette of neutrals with purple and orange accents. Styles are given a whole new look and feel for the MMQ collection, including classics like the Suede VTG, Easy Rider, Ralph Sampson, Slipstream Mid, and Suede Crepe as well as newer styles like the Suede Mayu, Mirage Sport, and Wild Rider.

The apparel is rooted in functionalism and honors the classics of street and sportswear while reinterpreting them for the modern minimalist. Hooded sweatshirts, pocket tees, and sweatpants are built upon not to make them different, but to make them better. Premium materials, minimalistic designs and a muted color palette make the apparel items fit seamlessly into any look.

Campaign images of Thierry Henry were shot by Danny Kasirye, a Ugandan-British photographer and director based between London and New York. He has recently broken out with a series of high-profile shoots, with a unique perspective on fashion photography, animated by his constant search for non-conformity and authenticity. As he does with all his subjects, Danny had Thierry turn the camera on him at the end for a few candid shots.

“It was incredible to work with Thierry, he was such a professional and so good at being in front of the camera,” said Danny. “The same confidence he displayed in front of the goal so many times. Being one of my favourite football players it was such an amazing day for me personally!"

Add a refined touch to your look when the MMQ collection releases on August 26th on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers.

MADE FOR THE WILDFLOWERS: PUMA AND LIBERTY CELEBRATE STRONG WOMEN
Global sports brand PUMA and iconic design house and department store Liberty are partnering for the first time to bring a luxe touch to a streetwear collection, which has a truly feminine aesthetic and was created to celebrate strong women.

The debut PUMA x LIBERTY collaboration plays on the enduring heritage of both brands, bringing them together to create a unified story. Using the famous Liberty floral prints in a wild garden theme, the collection brings a very fresh and feminine look to PUMA silhouettes.

Inspired by the idea that flowers are often turned to in times of trouble, the collection takes on the theme of ‘Still Growing’—celebrating the women who, much like a wildflower, are still growing and thriving despite it all.

Known for their unique prints and exquisite craftsmanship, Liberty has been paving the way for high-end fashion and luxury homeware since 1875. The iconic brand instantly conjures up images of florals, heritage and a distinct sense of Britishness. Over the years it’s built a legacy dedicated to discovery and design all underpinned by the arts and crafts movement much loved by its founder Arthur Lasenby Liberty.

Inspired by a variety of Toile de Jouy patterns and Asian style landscapes discovered in the Liberty archive, the bespoke Liberty print that decorates this collaboration features a graphic yet intricate scenic vista, and was hand painted by Liberty’s in-house team of artists in London, exclusively for PUMA. Named “Wild Garden,” the landscape print features a wide range of jewel-toned flora & fauna and is inhabited by exotic birds, butterflies, deer, rabbits, pink horses and even a Liberty puma.

The collection includes a wide range of both fashion and training footwear, apparel, and accessories. Embroidery and vibrant colors add a bold and feminine touch to PUMA’s footwear styles; the selection includes the Wild Rider, Basket, Cruise Rider, Suede Mayu, and for training, the Forever XT, which offers an instant cushioning and a responsive ride. The apparel items expand beyond PUMA’s classic silhouettes, with unique pieces like a reversible kimono, a flowy floral dress, and a performance leotard. The accessories offer a subtle touch of floral for any look with a cap, shopping bag, and mini purse offering.

The collection look book and campaign images were shot on an all-female crew, profiling bold and confident women from across a variety of fields to celebrate their success, each in their own unique look.

Campaign videos showcase this female crew and their thoughts on who inspires them, the key to always growing, and what makes them feel unstoppable. Using bold visuals and bright colors, the PUMA x LIBERTY collaboration flips the soft connotation of florals for a collection that reflects the strength of the wildflower and today’s fearless, powerful and creative women.

Get ready to own the urban jungle when the PUMA x LIBERTY collection drops on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers including the iconic Liberty store on London’s Regent Street, on September 18th.

THE SPECIAL MEANING BEHIND NEYMAR JR.’S NEW LIFESTYLE COLLECTION WITH PUMA

PUMA has teamed up with Neymar Jr. for his first lifestyle collection, which celebrates his life’s journey from São Vicente to Paris. As a co-creator of the collection the pieces feature meaningful graphics inspired by his origins in Brazil.

PUMA’s first ever Neymar Jr. lifestyle collection features a range of footwear, including PUMA’s newest Wild Rider franchise, apparel pieces like hoodies, bombers, tees and cargo pants, plus a selection of accessories, beanies, caps and a backpack. Neymar Jr. was involved right from the start of the process; bringing ideas to meetings, sharing what he liked in terms of design, and even selecting materials.

“They really listened to me and understood what story I want to tell, since this is inspired by my past and who I am as a person, not as a football player,” says Neymar Jr. about working with the PUMA team. “We exchanged ideas about design and the details we integrated into the collection. I was well involved, and they really understood what I wanted to share.”

The most important thing to Neymar Jr. when going through the process was designing with comfort in mind, something that can be worn every day. While product designs are minimalistic, heavy fabric and premium details elevate the pieces.

“Neymar Jr. really wanted to make something that he would love to wear, so he wanted to do something for himself but also for his fans,” says PUMA Creative Director Heiko Desens. “That is why it's quite a toned-down look, so it's really attracting a cool crowd of people, which was our aim for this collection.”

The lifestyle collection tells Neymar Jr.’s history through its graphics, the coordinates are from São Vicente, his hometown in Brazil. The word “Blessed” which he has tattooed on his back serves as a centerpiece for the collection, using the word throughout the items feels special to him, as it's a word that describes gratitude and how he feels about his life and career. The designs even include one of his favourite phrases that really speaks to his own life mantra, “It's not always all about being the best or the greatest but instead, to inspire future generations.”.

The PUMA x Neymar Jr. collection comes in a muted color palette of black and light grey with yellow accents which will drop on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers on September 30th. The PUMA x Neymar Jr. Wild Rider’s will be available globally in late November.
