DANIELLE GUIZIO SHIFTS THE PUMA SPEEDCAT INTO HIGH GEAR

PUMA and Danielle Guizio reunite for a second Speedcat drop, featuring a timeless black and white color scheme.

Bringing her unique touch to the low-top Speedcat, envisioning the aerodynamic silhouette with premium materials and elevated touches, the independent New York City-based designer kicked off her PUMA collaboration with a friends-and-family Speedcat Mesh featuring a lime and cream colorway.

Now, part two depicts the Speedcat in classic fashion, with a monochrome edition in smooth leather that highlights the silhouette’s racing-inspired shape. Channeling the black asphalt of an F1 racing circuit, the shoe’s stealthy design comes with a contrasting PUMA Formstrip in white. Finally, a "Guizio" tab on the upper brings a subtle touch to commemorate the partnership.

First released in 1999, the PUMA Speedcat was conceived for the world of F1 racing. Adopted by the world of fashion and sneaker culture in the mid-2000s, the Speedcat was officially reintroduced by PUMA in June 2024.

PUMA AND HELIOT EMIL CHANNEL STEALTH-TECH FOR FIRST COLLABORATION

Joining forces for the first time, PUMA and Heliot Emil emerge from the shadows to create a monochromatic collection with outdoor-inspired utilitarian accents, layered elements, and 3D details.

This capsule of footwear, accessories, and apparel, elevated by Heliot Emil’s core ideologies of subverting and exploring the lines between form and function, reflects the Danish brand’s deep understanding of materials, fabrics, and aesthetics in a deceptively technical collection. Concealed functions are subtly veiled behind simple yet striking designs and monochrome colorways.

The Sympatex Jacket is a symphony of carefully considered components, crafted with a three-layer water-repellent membrane, bonded seams, and structural wire giving the jacket its unique frame. Refining one of the most classic menswear silhouettes, the collection’s articulated T-shirt is crafted from a technical fabric, featuring reflective logos and rubber bitmap badges. Adding further versatility to the range, the hybrid zip-off Pants employ reflective logos, and feature zipped pockets.

For accessories, the PUMA x Heliot Emil range is highlighted by a Cap, Gloves, and Backpack that continue the collection’s covert look.

The PUMA x Heliot Emil range concludes with the Fast-Trac NITRO 3 sneaker, which sees a bold makeover featuring a custom outsole tread, knitted upper, and wire-driven fit system. A bitmap pattern is codified on the slip-on upper, which is supported by a purpose-built sole unit featuring a bespoke grip pattern that evokes the epic Icelandic terrain that has inspired the technical aspects of the collection.

The PUMA x Heliot Emil collection is available starting October 26, 2024, on PUMA.com, PUMA flagship stores, and selected PUMA retailers.

PUMA AND DAPPER DAN REFLECT ON MEANINGFUL EXPRESSION WITH DROP 2 OF THEIR COLLABORATION
The much anticipated second drop of the PUMA x Dapper Dan collaboration comes on the heels of their initial Kith exclusive release in October 2022.

The new PUMA x Dapper Dan collection was inspired by the idea of a pre-game runway, with a luxury upcycled aesthetic complemented by knitted materials and allover monogram designs. The collection puts a spin on the classic Clyde sneaker, a T7 tracksuit with PUMA x Dap logo mania, two tees and a reversible padded jacket featuring Dap’s powerful depiction of the PUMA, rhinestones, and the collaborator’s logo. In true Dapper Dan form, he took inspiration from his Harlem roots for this second drop, reflecting on the importance of expression and what that has looked like for him through the years.
Since the early ‘80s Dap has been a pioneer of design, remixing symbols to create his own signature style. What started as him selling his luxury goods out of the trunk of a car, led to him wrapping cars in his designs for his hip hop clientele, and ultimately opening an atelier that people looked to for the full, Harlem experience.

During this time, in the heart of Harlem, Dap was galvanizing expression through style and design, while others in the community were doing the same with jazz. Dapper Dan quotes that, “I did to fashion what hip hop did to music, what jazz did to music, what we’ve always done to music.” Paying homage to this vibrant time in his community, Dap tapped into jazz and his notable cars for this campaign.
In tandem with the drop of this five-piece capsule, Dapper Dan has redesigned the PUMA jet interior with the PUMA x Dapper Dan print, accessories with co-branded logos, and materials used in the most recent collaboration. On the continuous growth and evolution of his projects, Dap states, “We came by dog and now we travel by bird,” reminiscing on times when the bus was his main mode of transportation and now his designs are in the sky with the PUMA jet.

On January 14, 2023, this limited capsule will be available globally, at several select retailers. Products range from $70-$300 USD.

PUMA X RHUIGI PART TWO IS A SLICE OF NEW YORK CITY

PUMA and Rhuigi introduce part two of their capsule collection that celebrates American classics.

The coast-to-coast collaboration links Rhuigi’s home of Los Angeles with the cultural melting pot of New York City. The diversity and cultural richness of NYC’s five boroughs serve as the inspiration for the capsule, and also the setting for this latest editorial.

Centered around the aesthetics of college athletics and Americana at large, part two of the capsule includes a Varsity Jacket, Double-Layered Hoodie, and a fresh take on the PUMA Slipstream, all created in collaboration with Rhuigi. “New York Worldwide” graphics on the apparel pay homage to the music, style, and culture of the Big Apple, while a timeless green and cream color scheme further evokes a vintage feel.

The campaign for PUMA x Rhuigi part two celebrates a shared experience that unites all New Yorkers; the humble pizza slice. Set at family-owned institution Lenny's Pizza, the editorial is fronted by Kia Patrón (@kiaptron), Tyliv Bonaparte (@tylivbonaparte), and owner of Lenny’s Pizza, Frank Giordano.

Rhuigi Villaseñor is the founder of clothing label RHUDE, a brand that melds American iconography with nostalgic cultural references, culminating in a unique commentary on the city of Los Angeles. Villaseñor has made a name for his reinterpreted classics that draw from Americana, music, and street style.

The latest PUMA x Rhuigi capsule will be available starting February 18, 2023 from PUMA.com, PUMA stores, and selected accounts worldwide.

PUMA AND PALOMO SPAIN PARTNER TO CELEBRATE SELF EXPRESSION AND GENDER FLUIDITY WITH AN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION

PUMA and Palomo Spain have joined forces to create a collection exploring team sports with a retro edge, while also championing today’s bold take on gender fluidity.

The PUMA x Palomo Spain collection is inspired by 1970’s football stars and their glamorous off-field lives, linking the flamboyant and extravagant approach of that decade’s fashion to Palomo’s signature couture-infused, romantic, gender-neutral designs.

“My goal with this collaboration was to bring our over-the-top vibes over to PUMA, while stepping out of my comfort zone by designing sports clothes. That’s what led me to subtly reference Johan Cruyff, the ultimate 70’s football icon who is also the perfect embodiment of the Palomo Spain aesthetic in sport”, says Alejandro Gómez Palomo, Founder and Creative Director of Palomo Spain. “It was wonderful to partner with a company that has the means and engineering necessary to work on things in a way I can’t in my studio and my atelier, as that allowed us to approach the collection in a much more technical way than usual”, he adds.

“The crossover between craftsmanship and technology is an interesting one, as it’s not obvious at all; yet a highly technical production process was necessary to create the intricate embroideries and detailing that are Palomo’s trademark on the PUMA scale. Those delicate graphic elements elevate the collection and bring the right balance to a classic, clean silhouette”, says Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director for PUMA.

With precise lines and timeless, comforting colours ranging from beige, white and pale blue to navy blue, burgundy and vivid yellow, the gender neutral collection - which spans 15 styles - is rich in classic team sports references. Highlights include a bell bottom T7 tracksuit in cotton and polyester, complete with piping embroidered with the sinuous PUMA x Palomo Spain logo. A football-inspired half-zipped polo blends embroidery and jacquard, T7 nylon shorts match with classic tees and terry tank tops, and a nylon coat and printed long sleeve jersey top complete the ready-to-wear offering.

Footwear includes the nostalgic Weekend sneaker as well as the Nitefox loafer, featuring a bold, trail-inspired outsole. A laced boot version of Nitefox is also available. Accessories

provide a chic finishing touch with the bicolour Grip bag, the burgundy Crossbody clutch, an embroidered cap and a printed satin scarf, a Palomo Spain collection fixture.

“Palomo Spain’s take on fashion is always warm and welcoming, whether through his choice of colours, materials or references. The brand’s happy ethos immediately spoke to us, and its sense of rebelliousness, defiance of stereotypes and celebration of self expression is also what PUMA stands for”, says Heiko Desens.

The PUMA x Palomo Spain collection will be available on PUMA.com, select PUMA Stores, palomospain.com, and selected retailers worldwide with a retail prices ranging from 40 to 450 Euros.

Black Station: PUMA reveals first-ever metaverse experience with exclusive NFTs at New York Fashion Week
Sports company PUMA has unveiled its first ever metaverse website experience, called Black Station, which features exclusive NFTs with limited edition redeemable physical sneakers, as part of its ‘FUTROGRADE’ show during New York Fashion Week.

“Twenty years ago, Black Station was PUMA’s home for our most innovative designs in fashion,” said Adam Petrick, PUMA’s Chief Brand Officer. “Given the boundaries we are pushing from a product design and digital standpoint, we found it fitting to bring Black Station back as a new portal for digital exploration across fashion, sport performance, our heritage classics, and innovation.”

The experience begins with visitors entering a hyper-realistic digital lobby space with three separate portals. The first two portals, accessible beginning September 7th, will unveil exclusive never-seen-before Nitro NFRNO and Nitro Fastroid sneakers linked to PUMA’s recent NFT NitroPass mint.

Those who minted a Nitropass can receive two NFTs – one tied to physical products and one that unlocks a customized experience linked to their chosen shoe. Following the Futrograde show, minters can claim their physical sneakers by burning their product-claimed NFT. This marks unchartered territory for the brand in the web3 space, establishing its first PUMA-owned NFT that links digital design with in-real-life physical products for consumers.

For the digital product design, PUMA encouraged their in-house designers to push the creative boundaries to envision what a 3D digital sneaker could look like. “Our team of designers took a lot of liberties when envisioning these footwear styles. We told them the sky is the limit. As a result, we were able to harness their creativity without the typical confines and limitations of our shoe production process,” said Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director and Head of Innovation. “What is just as impressive as the actual designs is the fact that we were actually able to work with development to bring these stunning designs to life.”

The sneakers recontextualize iconic PUMA features through bold, innovative designs. Fastroid takes a performance tech silhouette to the extreme with exaggerated volumes of Nitro foam in gradient high-impact hues. With “sport is art” as the guiding ambition, NFRNO appears like a hybrid collision of the past and future, drawing inspiration from obscure archive styles to arrive at a multi-part molded construction.

The third portal of Black Station will function as the entry to the digital NYFW metaverse fashion show. Visitors will be immersed into an interactive space abstracted with point cloud style effects. They will journey through a digital adaptation of the show, where visitors can interact with the collection’s pieces.

The Black Station metaverse, developed by creative ventures company FTR, has been built with Unreal Engine 5 to produce cutting edge graphics.

David Stamatis, Executive Creative Director and Partner at FTR explains, “We're dedicated to bringing great creative ideas to life through immersive experience, technology, and community. This project, and our partner in PUMA, gave us agency and trust to push into the unknown and test how these creative components can be put together to innovate in the storytelling around product, fashion, and brand. Creating a truly phygital experience has opened our eyes to the immense opportunity for brands in the future."

Visitors can enter PUMA’s Black Station experience at blackstation.puma.com. A limited quantity of NFTs and subsequently exclusive sneakers exist. Visit PUMA’s discord page to learn more about the project.
