PUMA X RHUIGI PART TWO IS A SLICE OF NEW YORK CITY

PUMA and Rhuigi introduce part two of their capsule collection that celebrates American classics.

The coast-to-coast collaboration links Rhuigi’s home of Los Angeles with the cultural melting pot of New York City. The diversity and cultural richness of NYC’s five boroughs serve as the inspiration for the capsule, and also the setting for this latest editorial.

Centered around the aesthetics of college athletics and Americana at large, part two of the capsule includes a Varsity Jacket, Double-Layered Hoodie, and a fresh take on the PUMA Slipstream, all created in collaboration with Rhuigi. “New York Worldwide” graphics on the apparel pay homage to the music, style, and culture of the Big Apple, while a timeless green and cream color scheme further evokes a vintage feel.

The campaign for PUMA x Rhuigi part two celebrates a shared experience that unites all New Yorkers; the humble pizza slice. Set at family-owned institution Lenny's Pizza, the editorial is fronted by Kia Patrón (@kiaptron), Tyliv Bonaparte (@tylivbonaparte), and owner of Lenny’s Pizza, Frank Giordano.

PUMA AND PALOMO SPAIN PARTNER TO CELEBRATE SELF EXPRESSION AND GENDER FLUIDITY WITH AN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION

PUMA and Palomo Spain have joined forces to create a collection exploring team sports with a retro edge, while also championing today’s bold take on gender fluidity.

The PUMA x Palomo Spain collection is inspired by 1970’s football stars and their glamorous off-field lives, linking the flamboyant and extravagant approach of that decade’s fashion to Palomo’s signature couture-infused, romantic, gender-neutral designs.

“My goal with this collaboration was to bring our over-the-top vibes over to PUMA, while stepping out of my comfort zone by designing sports clothes. That’s what led me to subtly reference Johan Cruyff, the ultimate 70’s football icon who is also the perfect embodiment of the Palomo Spain aesthetic in sport”, says Alejandro Gómez Palomo, Founder and Creative Director of Palomo Spain. “It was wonderful to partner with a company that has the means and engineering necessary to work on things in a way I can’t in my studio and my atelier, as that allowed us to approach the collection in a much more technical way than usual”, he adds.

“The crossover between craftsmanship and technology is an interesting one, as it’s not obvious at all; yet a highly technical production process was necessary to create the intricate embroideries and detailing that are Palomo’s trademark on the PUMA scale. Those delicate graphic elements elevate the collection and bring the right balance to a classic, clean silhouette”, says Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director for PUMA.

With precise lines and timeless, comforting colours ranging from beige, white and pale blue to navy blue, burgundy and vivid yellow, the gender neutral collection - which spans 15 styles - is rich in classic team sports references. Highlights include a bell bottom T7 tracksuit in cotton and polyester, complete with piping embroidered with the sinuous PUMA x Palomo Spain logo. A football-inspired half-zipped polo blends embroidery and jacquard, T7 nylon shorts match with classic tees and terry tank tops, and a nylon coat and printed long sleeve jersey top complete the ready-to-wear offering.

Footwear includes the nostalgic Weekend sneaker as well as the Nitefox loafer, featuring a bold, trail-inspired outsole. A laced boot version of Nitefox is also available. Accessories

provide a chic finishing touch with the bicolour Grip bag, the burgundy Crossbody clutch, an embroidered cap and a printed satin scarf, a Palomo Spain collection fixture.

“Palomo Spain’s take on fashion is always warm and welcoming, whether through his choice of colours, materials or references. The brand’s happy ethos immediately spoke to us, and its sense of rebelliousness, defiance of stereotypes and celebration of self expression is also what PUMA stands for”, says Heiko Desens.

The PUMA x Palomo Spain collection will be available on PUMA.com, select PUMA Stores, palomospain.com, and selected retailers worldwide with a retail prices ranging from 40 to 450 Euros.

PUMA ILLUSTRATES THE POWER OF BLACK EXCELLENCE THROUGH THE LAUNCH OF ‘WE ARE LEGENDS’, A PLATFORM LED BY PUMA’S NEW ERA OF BLACK DESIGNERS

We Are Legends is PUMA’s new storytelling and product developing platform celebrating Black excellence and cultural impact. The collection seeks to honor the Black creatives trailblazing influence on cultural progression around the globe and strives to empower and amplify the voices of our Black community—our legends.

Championed and led by an internal collective of Black designers, the name, “We Are Legends”, reminds us to celebrate the now in Black culture and not just the rich history of past.

The We Are Legends mission is to both increase representation within the design industry and drive real change within the very communities we are celebrating. The collective established a 3-pillar model to ensure this initiative is making a tangible impact over time through donation, awareness, and community. Through We Are Legends, PUMA aims to be the brand that fights for representation in the design industry and the world.

“The name, We Are Legends, comes from the idea of celebrating the now in Black culture. Often when we celebrate Black culture, we look to the past. However, our collective wanted to help change this narrative by empowering people to speak up in their most authentic voices now, to create their own legacy that will be legendary. We Are Legends shines the light on both the legacy of this design collective and the legends within their own communities." - Ariel Weeks, Chair of the PUMA B-Bold ERG and Footwear Merchandising Manager

“I am extremely proud to introduce the world to We Are Legends, a collective of black designers who are a prime example of when employees step up to drive and be the change that they want to see. This first collection within the We Are Legends platform, The Yard, is a homage to the spirit of the beloved HBCU experience and a celebration of Black excellence.” The goal of We Are Legends is to not only tell stories that are authentic and highlight the beautiful aspects of black culture, but through this platform PUMA will aim to lead the charge in activating the next generation of black creatives through building early awareness and providing accessibility to roles in this industry via strategic partnerships, mentorship, and education.”- Michelle Marshall, Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (PUMA North America)

The debut collection within the We Are Legends platform, “The Yard”, is inspired by Homecoming – a tradition in many high schools and colleges in the United States where they welcome back former students and members. The collection features men’s and women’s apparel in a bright palette of maroon, purple, and orange. Designs use material mixing & multi-placed collegiate graphics that unify schools, yard culture, & heritage. PUMA classics like the Suede are revamped with modern accents, shapes, and a neo-archival head-to-toe style. Design details references styles worn by HBCU students in the past and currently, capturing the culture’s deep history and honoring their contributions to American style.

PUMA AND AMI PRESENT CHAPTER 2 OF THEIR COLLABORATION

Parisian house AMI joins PUMA once again in a collaboration that blends outdoors design elements and tailoring know-how, with a campaign fronted by singer-songwriter GIVĒON and model and activist Quannah Chasinghorse.

Inspired by thirst for freedom and exploring new horizons, the collection mixes PUMA’s sportswear heritage and AMI’s flair for tailoring, creating a well-rounded, wintery wardrobe. “I wanted this collection to be a perfect balance between our two worlds,” says Alexandre Mattiussi, Founder and Creative Director of AMI. “The goal was a playful, colourful collection, rich in volume and in extravagant details. It is a new chapter on the story we began developing during our last collaboration. We are now taking things further,” he adds.

“Together, we have been on a journey from wardrobe essentials to cosy, cocoon-like pieces you want to cuddle up with. This season, it is all about softness, oversized volumes, layering and draping with outdoors and hiking-inspired elements, which creates a certain sense of chic, but also a feel-good sensation,” says Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director for PUMA.

With a vibrant palette of bright orange, baby blue, bubble gum pink, moss green and purple offset by neutral beige, cream and brown tones, the collection - which spans 20 different styles across both men’s and womenswear - includes such AMI classics as carrot trousers, straight-line brushed coats, and timeless tees. As well as hoodies and sweatpants, functional fleece jackets with spacious patch pockets, and down jackets. The PUMA x AMI logo - AMI’s signature AMI de Coeur symbol merged with the PUMA stamp - is featured across a range of pieces in the collection.

Shoes remain timeless, with the Rider sneaker offering a knowing nod to 1970’s style. Accessories include a puffy backpack, a cross-body bag, bucket hats, and black-and-white striped beanies and a scarf in true AMI fashion.

“My style is intentional and perfectly curated - this collection feels like it came directly from my closet,” said GIVĒON. “I enjoyed this experience so much, I felt honored that PUMA and AMI chose me to be the face of the campaign, both are amazing brands that align with who I am.”

The global launch campaign was captured by David Paige against the unique landscapes of Pedernales Falls in Texas, featuring GIVĒON and Quannah Chasinghorse. “They both embody a new generation, one that is friendly, cool and carefree,” says Alexandre Mattiussi.

The new PUMA x AMI collection will be available exclusively in AMI stores and amiparis.com starting December 8th, and globally on December 10th on PUMA.com, PUMA stores, and selected retailers.

Specific graphic designs and logo details as well as the blend of loud and modest colors generates a remarkable collection for the next ride in the Porsche Targa.
