REBORN TO PERFORM: PUMA INTRODUCES THE FIRST MILE PACK, FOOTBALL BOOTS MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS
Sports company PUMA has made its successful ULTRA 1.3 and the FUTURE 1.2 football boots more sustainable by using recycled materials from its partnership with the First Mile initiative.

The products of the First Mile pack are made with recycled yarn that is manufactured from plastic bottles collected in the First Mile network, which also makes a social impact by strengthening microeconomies in Honduras, Haiti and Taiwan China. PUMA has worked together with First Mile since 2019 but it is the first time, the company has used First Mile’s recycled yarns in football boots.

The collectors in the First Mile network gather plastic bottles, which prevent the bottles from reaching landfills and the world’s oceans. With every purchase of First Mile products people are supporting local opportunities and creating a positive impact by generating jobs and reducing environmental waste.

PUMA utilizes recycled yarns developed from post-consumer plastic collected by First Mile in Taiwan China. The plastic is sorted, cleaned, shredded, spun into yarn and then woven into a stretchy engineered knit to create football boots that play faster but tread a little lighter. 

 

Through its Forever Better sustainability strategy, PUMA has set itself 10 targets to improve its environmental impact. The company plans to make 9 out of its 10 products more sustainable by 2025.

The ULTRA 1.3 contains 21% recycled material in the upper made from post-consumer plastic. Maintaining all performance benefits of the ULTRA 1.3, the lightweight MATRYXEVO technology features recycled Chamatex yarns and First Mile yarns designed for ultimate lightweight speed so you can be at your fastest from the first step. The upper is connected to an internal SPEEDCAGE for lightweight support, keeping your foot locked in so you can be at your most explosive.

The ULTRA features a unique PEBA SpeedUnit outsole for maximum take-off speed, traction and responsiveness at high velocity giving you the platform to produce faster movements all over the pitch. Infused with PUMA running spike DNA, the ULTRA is deadlier than ever. The First Mile ULTRA 1.3 will debut on pitch with Manchester United superstar Raphaël Varane, a strong advocate for sustainable products.

42% of the FUTURE Z 1.2 upper is made up of recycled materials made from post-consumer plastic. The FUTURE’s innovative FUZIONFIT+ compression has been engineered for the ultimate fit, perfectly wrapping around the foot for maximum comfort and responsiveness so you can make explosive cuts and directional changes at your top speed. 

 

The recycled upper combines with a recycled Dynamic Motion System outsole, a specially crafted plate for explosive agility, extreme traction and multi directional movement. All linings, foams and vamps use recycled materials, making this the most sustainable FUTURE ever. The FUTURE Z 1.2 First Mile edition will be worn by Manchester City star Vicky Losada.

Sports company PUMA is revving up the F1 engines with the launch of the Spring / Summer ´22 Collections of Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and Oracle Red Bull Racing Team. Ahead of the season the two lines are already generating heat being inspired by futuristic visions and joyful energy.

Only a couple of few weeks before the Formula One engines are ignited for the first GP of the season at the Bahrain International Circuit PUMA is offering the latest lifestyle looks of last season´s fiercest contenders - Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and Red Bull Racing.

For the Spring / Summer Collection of the Silver Arrows Team was inspired by a vision about the future without a defined shape, without standardized formats and unusual positions. The Mercedes F1 Team has always had a futuristic vision being a pioneer in the search for innovations.

For this season we decided to elevate the product and create a fusion between the products and the graphic itself being one. PUMA AND PRONOUNCE DEBUT TECHY NEW SILHOUETTES TOGETHER
Global sports company PUMA and designer brand PRONOUNCE are partnering together again for a sophomore collection of eye catching designs.

This season of PUMA x PRONOUNCE, titled “Progressive Line,” is exploring the world of commuting through the use of technical silhouettes made for urban territories. The collection features a futuristic and progressive design language, visible through technical and premium materials, interesting trim executions, and a bold color story and graphics.

The apparel is the highlight of this drop, using multiple fabric and detail executions. Design accents like towel jacquard, metal, and graphics in a puff print offer a bold look. The matching Toweling Polo and Long Shorts offer a standout look with a unique graphic pattern embossed on the fabric. The collared Women’s Jacket re-interprets a denim jacket in a monochrome tech look, made with a chromatic RainCELL material to protect against the elements. The Men’s Windbreaker also uses RainCELL, arriving in monotone black and grey options with a hood and branded Spanish buckles on the front. Further apparel includes graphic tees, hoodies, and half zips.

DJ SNAKE CREATES A LIMITED RUN OF PUMA’S MIRAGE SPORT UNDER HIS ‘PARDON MY FRENCH’ BRAND
Global sports brand PUMA and French DJ and record producer, DJ Snake, have designed a limited run of Mirage Sport under his ‘Pardon My French’ brand which will be available globally in early February.

The PUMA Mirage has been brought from the Archive and revamped with a new perspective on street style, this latest colorway designed by DJ Snake has an elevated and cleaner look, mainly due to its muted colorway.

“I’ve liked every single colorway we’ve released of the Mirage; they’ve been perfect for me because they matched the lights and energy of my shows, but I’m obsessed with an all-white sneaker,” said DJ Snake when asked about the design process with PUMA. “I am really excited of the outcome, it’s so minimal and exactly what I was looking for.”

The white premium leather upper is contrasted with suede overlays, a decorative lace runs across the side with a toggle at the back. The translucent outsole reveals the “Pardon My French” logo on the bottom of the sneaker, which can also be found on the tongue and footbed.

PUMA’S ICONIC SUEDE UPDATES ITS SKIN, COURTESY OF MINECRAFT
If you love adventures and blocks, then your year will start off on the right foot (or shoe) – global sports brand PUMA and the popular video game Minecraft have come together to create an exciting drop, launching on February 5.

The PUMA x Minecraft streetwear collection features apparel and footwear for adventurers and explorers of all ages. References to beloved (and some feared) Minecraft mobs are featured on tees, hoodies, pants, and PUMA’s most iconic shoe – the Suede. The apparel features a sleek color palette of white, grey, and black, and is adorned with colorfullogos and characters. One highlight is the Minecraft ocelot, which is posed to replicate PUMA’s original jumping cat.

PUMA named Top Employer 2022 in 16 countries
Sports company PUMA has been named Top Employer in the Asia Pacific region for the first time in 2022 and has added a third consecutive Top Employer title in Europe.

The Top Employer certification highlights PUMA’s engagement to provide an attractive workplace for its employees.

“Putting our employees, their needs, and goals first has always been our top priority,” says Dietmar Knoess, Global Director of People and Organization at PUMA. “The pandemic is challenging for all of us. However, we will always strive to become better, so we can continue providing a workplace environment that our employees can thrive in.”

The Top Employers Institute certifies companies based on their information in the Human Resources Best Practices survey, which includes six overarching dimensions and 20 areas. The Institute highlighted PUMA’s policies committing to social and environmental performance, the alignment of HR practices with sustainability principles and the incentivization of PUMA’s employees to support environmental goals. PUMA together with Ferrari embodies racing DNA with the launch of the ION Speed footwear
Global sports company PUMA together with Ferrari blend aerodynamics and velocity with the launch of the ION Speed. The footwear features a bold mix of high-performance materials with the shape of the design being inspired by the racing attitude of the SF90 Stradale.

Racing and Ferrari is natural fit from the track to the street. Since the foundation of the company in 1947 and their engagement in Formula 1 in 1950 velocity has always been a key element of the Italian brand´s DNA. Since decades Ferrari has been evolving their concept to translate speed and aerodynamics in the shape of their cars.
