Your Talent
- ACA/ ACCA qualified accountant (or equivalent)
- Significant post-qualification experience in financial control with strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and tax compliance
- Proven track record of implementing financial controls, systems improvements, and transformation projects
- Experience within sports/ lifestyle brand, retail or consumer goods
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organisation and liaise with local/ corporate finance
- Talent for building capability and unlocking potential in teams to drive high performance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach
- Passion for sports and lifestyle brands a bonus
Your Mission
Accounting and Reporting
- Manage and own the month, quarter and year end close process for all legal entities ensuring all internal controls are adhered to
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned to corporate deadlines and requirements
- Oversee reconciliation of key balance sheet areas monthly
- Lead internal and external audit processes to timetable and without issue
- Ensure statutory financial statements are prepared in compliance with UK GAAP / IFRS
- Continually review, streamline, and improve month-end close processes to enhance efficiency
Management Reporting & Group Liaison
- Act as a key point of contact with Group Finance for all actual submissions and take ownership of Monthly MFR reporting, providing and presenting insightful analysis.
- Ensure consistency and clarity in actual reporting formats and financial narratives.
- Ensure management reporting across the business drives action based on insight to deliver KPIs
Compliance, Governance, Risk & Treasury
- Ensure compliance with local company law, statutory filings and other reporting requirements
- Ensure local adherence to corporate compliance with appropriate tracking and reporting
- Ensure compliance with VAT requirements and other indirect tax reporting
- Liaise with the advisors to ensure full compliance with corporation tax requirements
- Manage banking relationships
- Management of short to mid-term cash flow forecasts and cash pool requirements
- Manage local insurances in collaboration with group functions
- Take ownership of UK property portfolio tracking and control
- Oversee UK legal counsel in terms of risk mitigation and compliance
- Create, maintain and own a financial risk register ensuring risks are identified, monitored and mitigated
Transactional Finance
- Oversee the AR function to ensure timely invoicing, credit control and cash collection ensuring DSO in line with internal targets
- Support head of AR in credit risk management
- Oversee the AP function ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and employee expenses
- Ensure compliance with company policies, approval limits and payment terms
- Enforce local expense policies and manage noncompliance
- Maintain up to date register of all property and opex contracts, ensuring all liabilities appropriately covered
Finance Transformation & Team Leadership
- Act as the key Business Partner and Commercial Finance Support to the Operations, Logistics and IT functions.
- Work collaboratively with the TH-CFC to ensure all actuals to plan are fully aligned.
- Support the embedding of the new finance operational model and team, ensuring roles, responsibilities and processes are clearly understood and achieved
- Play a key role in the successful implementation of SAP, ensuring processes are standardised, efficient and aligned with group requirements
- Drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives to strengthen finance capabilities and support business growth
- Manage, coach and develop the financial accounting team to build capability and drive performance
- Champion a structured development pathway for trainee accountants, supporting progression from graduate roles to qualified professionals
