PUMA ENHANCES ENGAGEMENT IN FEMALE RACING BY ANNOUNCING PUMA W SERIES TEAM

Global sports company PUMA jumps in the fastlane of women’s racing by announcing the PUMA W Series Team. The race team will consist of five different drivers with a signature livery influenced by the colors of PUMA´s women’s platform,“She Moves Us.”

W Series, the international single seater championship for female drivers only, is finalising plans to move to a team-based championship from 2022 and beyond, fulfilling a key development strategy planned since inception. The teams’ structure for this year will start with the allocation of two drivers from the existing W Series stable to each of the new team partners. Additionally, it allows sponsorship of those teams by third parties through naming, car livery, team overalls and so on.

PUMA has been part of W Series as official race gear supplier since 2019 and jumped at the opportunity to be part of the new concept W Series is establishing. „The partnership with W Series is thriving. Already ahead of this season´s testing PUMA has designed - for the very first time - tailormade race suits for female drivers to ensure a perfect fit. Being able to announce our own race team in W Series now is a fantastic next step,” says James Clark, Head of Sports Marketing Motorsport & Operations PUMA.

The awareness of women’s racing will increase this year with eight GPs of W Series taking place on the same weekend and racetracks like Formula 1. GEORGE RUSSELL VISITS PUMA'S LONDON FLAGSHIP STORE

Global Sports Company PUMA welcomed Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team driver and PUMA ambassador George Russell to their flagship London store on Carnaby Street on Wednesday, 5th July, ahead of the highly anticipated British Grand Prix this weekend.

The exclusive activation thrilled fans as 15 lucky competition winners had the opportunity to meet George in person, engage in a Q&A session moderated by Lissie Mackintosh, and even challenge him to an adrenaline-fueled head-to-head race on EA Games F1 2023, where one lucky winner had the opportunity to go head-to-head with George Russell on the famous Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.

Selected through an online competition via PUMA.com, the winners eagerly awaited the chance to meet their racing idol. PUMA provided a unique experience for the winners, who got to spend quality time with George Russell, gaining insights into his life as a professional Formula One driver and discussing his racing career, the challenges of Formula One, as well as his journey as a PUMA ambassador.

Throughout the day, PUMA's flagship London store also featured exclusive displays of George’s current race helmet, suit, race boots, and gloves, showcasing the equipment he is using for the ongoing Formula 1 season. Additionally, the store's four storefront windows were dedicated to Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team and George Russell merchandise, offering fans the chance to get closer to their favorite driver and team.

PUMA Extends Deal with Ford Team RS
New 360° Partnership to span PUMA Racewear, Teamwear, Footwear and Accessories

“Ford Team RS have a long proud heritage in rallying and proved in 2003 that whether with star veterans or young rookies, they always challenge for rallies and for championships. We are delighted to extend the contract and to work with such a dedicated team and talented young drivers”, says Andrew McPhail, Senior Manager of PUMA Motorsport. “Supplying the rally drivers, co-drivers and support crew with suitable gear for such a wide range of terrain and climatic conditions gives us a chance to demonstrate the know-how in high-performance motorsport apparel, which we have been able to accumulate with many partners over a number of seasons.”

Amongst the successful Sauber junior drivers were Michael Schumacher and Heinz-Harald Frentzen.

PUMA and Jaguar Racing Together

“In 2004 Jaguar Racing started to show their claws demonstrating flashes of brilliance”, says Andrew McPhail, Senior Manager of PUMA Motorsport. “We are particularly pleased to see a driver like Mark Webber from the Australasian region achieving so much success in Formula One – helping to make the sport more global than ever. Now combining Mark Webber in his third year of Formula One, with promising rookie Christian Klien, the team will undoubtedly produce even more highlights in 2004. Jaguar has been involved in motorsport since it was founded by Sir William Lyons in 1922. Due to Jaguar’s long proud history, PUMA thought it appropriate to give the pit crew a shoe with a unique vintage character that takes its inspiration from the early days of motor racing. PUMA New Partner of Ferrari
Sports company becomes official supplier to F1 Team

With the Future Cat (high and low cut) the merchandising collection – available to the consumer from March 2005 – features a unique product. The red and white shoe carries both the Ferrari Racing Shield as well as the PUMA logo. The range of articles will also include the team-shirt and team-polo (long- and short-sleeve) as well as caps, sweatshirts, rainjackets, and the official replica-shirt, identical to those worn by the team. As a special design feature the well-known footwear Formstrip is incorporated into the epaulette.

PUMA® AND RED BULL TEAM UP FOR NEW PARTNERSHIP
Sportlifestyle Company is Official Supplier of the Four Red Bull Motorsport Race Teams

Both F1 teams – Red Bull Racing and Torro Rosso – will be equipped with fire-proof PUMA racing and team suits, boots and accessories. In addition to this, a lifestyle-inspired replica collection will be developed for both F1 teams and distributed exclusively in PUMA Concept Stores, the Red Bull Online Shop and the “Bullshop” at races worldwide. The sportlifestyle company will also be the official supplier (track suits, boots, apparel and accessories) of Red Bull Nascar team starting this race season.

Furthermore, PUMA will provide the Red Bull Air Race team with team and pilot suits as well as shoes and accessories. As the name already points out, Air Race is an air race competition, where the pilots maneuver their planes at a low altitude through Air Gates. This stunning acrobatic flying spectacle will globally take place 12 times in 2007.

PUMA ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH MERCEDES GP PETRONAS FORMULA ONE TEAM

PUMA announced today it has entered into a new multi-year partnership with the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS Formula One Team. The global Sportlifestyle brand has become the exclusive licensing partner to MERCEDES GP PETRONAS for footwear, apparel and accessories; and an official Team Partner, effective from 1 January 2012. The partnership agreement incorporates prominent branding locations for PUMA on the MGP W03, the team’s 2012 race car, and on all race and teamwear products.

Through this new partnership, PUMA will develop MERCEDES GP PETRONAS licensed products for global sales and distribution. A strong emphasis will be placed on sales performance of the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS range in mature Motorsport markets, but as the Formula One race calendar expands into new markets and the global profile and reputation of the sport continues to grow, this sales focus will expand globally.
