PUMA ambassador George Russell enjoys Miami lifestyle by speedboat and hoops session with NBA player Isaiah Stewart
PUMA ambassador and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team driver George Russell has been soaking up the unique stateside lifestyle of Miami ahead of the inaugural Miami Grand Prix. In a basketball training session with NBA player Isaiah Stewart both athletes dis-cussed their promising careers.

Before the speed and excitement of round five of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship,  PUMA invited George Russell on a unique day tour to get a taste of Miami life and culture.

Starting off with an adrenaline kick of a high-powered speedboat, Georg Russell had the chance to check out the shores of South Beach, mansions of Star Island, and a panorama of the downtown Miami skyline.

From the harbor, George went directly to the unique sights of the downtown Wynwood Art District, passing by the iconic large-scale art works created by some of the world’s best-known street artists.

George Russell: “I think the city is really unique. It’s's my first time here and you see how vibrant this place is, especially in this neighborhood. To come out here, experience the weather, which is great always, and see the culture is pretty special.“

In Wynwood, the Formula One driver had the chance to meet NBA player and PUMA Hoops athlete Isaiah Stewart - who currently plays as a Power Forward position for the Detroit Pistons – and to get a training session in basketball. Both athletes sat together to exchange experiences and thoughts on their rising careers as youngsters in their sports.

George Russell: „For me when I was growing up I was always the youngest and you go through this journey and I was always competing against older people and now suddenly I got to the top of Formula One and you go against the best in the business and it doesn't matter your age, you know, you got to get down to it and you got to perform.”

Isaiah Stewart: “Growing up, I've always looked up to a few basketball players and, you know, to finally share the court and play against them, it´s surreal. Though once you go out it is definitely a nice time to compete against those basketball players you have been idolizing back in the days.”

Currently placed fourth in the championship, Russell is heading into the first-ever Miami Grand Prix with extreme focus and the promise of continued push for results, with the Silver Arrows team bringing some updates to his Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 E Performance car for the coming races.

PUMA celebrates 50th anniversary of Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 with a signature model: PUMA x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 Limited edition
Global sports company PUMA together with Porsche are paying homage to the legacy of a true road and motorsport icon - the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 - with a strictly limited, special edition version of the all-time classic footwear model, the PUMA Suede.

50 years ago, Porsche began the development of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and initially build 500 examples to homologate the car for Group 4 racing regulations for Special GT cars. Famously debuted at the 1972 Salon de l’Automobile (Paris Motor Show), the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was an instant hit. All 500 vehicles had sold just weeks later. Similarly, the PUMA Suede is an emblematic piece of PUMA history - originally debuting with only 307 pairs to celebrate Olympian Tommie Smith’s competition number.

The 911 Carrera RS 2.7. became a road-approved vehicle for customers who also wanted to participate in racing events. It was the first 911 to be christened “Carrera” – the crowning glory of the Porsche range. The suffix is a reference to Porsche’s success at the classic Carrera Panamericana Road race in 1954. While the “RS” makes it clearly that the car was made for racing and rallying, the “2.7” represents the engine displacement. A seamless blend between style and performance, the RS 2.7 with its spartan specification was built with speed in mind from the outset. The most distinctive feature of the fastest German production car of its day (top speed 245 km/h) is the rear spoiler, popularly known as the “ducktail”.

It is a legacy that PUMA is now proudly paying homage to, with the new release of an all-time classic footwear collection limited to 500 pairs (per colorway). The timeless PUMA Suede now joins the PUMA x PORSCHE line. Bearing the iconic RS 2.7 typeface, being fast and strictly limited - just like the original Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 itself - the Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 Limited Edition is the ultimate footwear celebration of this automotive icon. PUMA together with Scuderia Ferrari launches the Autumn / Winter 2022 Collection
Global sports company PUMA together with Scuderia Ferrari is excited to launch the new Autumn / Winter 2022 collection.

The collection is inspired by Ferrari’s iconic 1970s Formula 1 race car. More specifically the 312 B2. Created by Scuderia Ferrari's then-chief of engineering, Mauro Forghieri, it was aimed to try and reverse Ferrari's fortunes following challenging seasons in the late-1960s. PUMA together with Ferrari unveil Giallo Modena Special Edition Collection
Global sports company PUMA together with Ferrari is excited to unveil the Giallo Modena Special Edition Collection, which celebrates the legendary car and motorsport brand’s iconic yellow.

As the title of the collection suggests - Giallo Modena - is the Italian name for the specific shade of yellow which has adorned the Ferrari badge for the entirety of the legendary marque’s existence. Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN drivers visited largest PUMA flagship store in Southeast Asia ahead of 2022 Singapore Grand Prix
Global sports company PUMA is celebrating Formula 1´s return to Singapore, as well as its status as official partner and race gear supplier to the Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN by hosting drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu at PUMA’s largest Southeast Asia flagship store on Wednesday 28th September.

Located in the ‘313@Somerset’ Shopping centre, on the popular retail focused Orchard Road, the new flagship store, which has been open since the 18th of July, is a focal hub for PUMA products, fans, ambassadors and activations in Southeast Asia. Showcasing the full range of PUMA’s athletic fashion and fitness categories, through 7,100 square feet of immersive store experience, the store is also the first street-facing duplex store in the Far East.

 

In addition to meeting fans and getting a chance to browse all the latest exclusive and limited-edition PUMA products available in the flagship store, Valtteri and Zhou conducted livestream sessions, and interviews with media and influencers.

PUMA’s partnership which was agreed at the beginning of the 2022 season is the latest step in PUMA’s long standing motorsport heritage and showcases PUMA’s cutting edge and fully customized race gear - as worn by the team’s drivers; Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu. Not just limited to the cockpit however, PUMA also supports the Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN with the latest training gear and trackside sneakers, as part of their travel gear, as they move around the world during the 2022 season.

Global sports company PUMA together with German streetwear brand FLGNTLT are celebrating an exciting crossover between car culture and Japanese motorsport with a new Autumn Winter 22 collection titled “Evolution Super Series”.

Inspired by the iconic liveries emblazoned on mid-90s and early 2000s Japanese National GT race cars; such as the 1996 PUMA GTO N1 Taikyu which raced in the Suzuka 1000km, and the 2000 PUMA Lancer EVO VI Super Taikyu run by the Test & Service Team.
