PUMA dominates New York as athletes claim record finishes at the world's biggest marathon

  • PUMA Athlete Fiona O’Keeffe came in 4th, claiming the Top American Woman at the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon in her World Marathon Majors debut
  • Fiona O’Keeffe (2:22:49) smashed the American woman course record (2:24:42) by nearly 2 minutes
  • PUMA Athlete Patrick Dever (2:08:58) finished 4th overall in his marathon debut and the tenth fastest performance all time for a UK athlete.

 

This weekend, New York City once again became the heartbeat of the running world. Over 50,000 participants lined up for the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon, where PUMA’s athletes rose to the occasion—posting career-best times and securing top honors on marathon running’s grandest stage.

The brand’s athlete lineup featured both established champions and rising stars. The women’s field was led by PUMA Athlete Fiona O’Keeffe wearing PUMA’s Deviate NITRO™ Elite 3. In her World Marathon Majors debut,  O’Keeffe ran a 2:22:49, smashing the American woman course record (2:24:42), by nearly 2 minutes. O’Keeffe was the fastest American in today’s race, finishing 4th overall. PUMA Athlete Annie Frisbie followed shortly after, running a 2:24:12 and finishing 5th overall in PUMA’s Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3.

In the men’s field, PUMA Athlete Patrick Dever ran a 2:08:58, finishing 4th overall in his marathon debut wearing PUMA’s Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3. PUMA Athlete Sondre Moen ran a 2:10:15, finishing 8th overall in his TCS New York City Marathon debut in PUMA’s Deviate NITRO™ Elite 3

With breakthrough performances and record-setting runs, PUMA athletes once again proved that innovation and determination go hand in hand—redefining speed, elevating the sport, and reinforcing PUMA’s position at the forefront of marathon running.
