PUMA AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR JUNE AMBROSE LAUNCH THEIR FIRST CO-BRANDED COLLECTION, KEEPING SCORE, CELEBRATING WOMEN AND THEIR WINS

PUMA and Creative Director June Ambrose will be releasing their first co-branded collaboration, “Keeping Score” on January 26, 2023. This new collection is a celebration of Ambrose’s career and impact within hip hop and fashion, exploring the idea of reflection, and encouraging women to keep score of their wins.

As culture shifts, women on and off the court continue to become more aware of their power, as individuals and in numbers. Since joining the sportswear brand in 2020 as the Creative Director for the Women’s Basketball category, June’s mission has continuously been focused on highlighting and empowering women, knowing life is a team sport and together we play to win.

The 20-piece apparel, footwear and accessories collection will launch in two parts. The first drop, available starting January 26 will consist of ten pieces in a rich burgundy and blue colorway. Staying true to the prioritization of merging fashion and function, and drawing inspiration from the early days of her career, the initial product release includes reversible shorts and beanies, a removable mesh jersey sports bra, a balaclava, colorblock leggings, and an oversized hoodie. Standout pieces include the Hood Hall of Famer tee and the breakaway maxi to midi skirt. The tee also boasts the phrase, “Calling All Shots,” embracing the notion of feeling powerful when wearing the pieces. The transformative skirt lends itself to the versatility of styling within the collection. New versions of the classic Ralph Sampson sneaker and design-forward Prevail sneaker will also be released within this drop.

As the relationship between the global brand and Ambrose continues to grow, so has the Creative Director’s signature philosophy, “Life is a Sport”. Speaking to the essence of the campaign for the new collection, Ambrose wants to encourage women to, “only compete against the best versions of themselves; our gives are our gets. Let’s make this year count, let the clock begin Keeping Score.”

From the dominance of streetwear and sneaker culture, to the influx of hip hop within high fashion, June continues to be a template for all generations of women, reinforcing the importance of celebrating yourself.

PUMA’S PLEXUS SNEAKER BREAKS BOUNDARIES WITH NEW DESIGN LANGUAGE

Today, PUMA introduces the PUMA Plexus sneaker, a new interpretation of the line between sport and style.

Informed by the overarching concept of the future classic, PUMA’s new Plexus sneaker establishes a new and progressive design language, inspired by a seminal model from PUMA’s archive, the Mostro.

“Given the initial design direction of creating a “future classic,” I tried to position our archival PUMA Mostro as a new classic for the future,” mentioned Hyon Park, Lead Designer Sportstyle Footwear, PUMA.

Breaking boldly into 2023, the Plexus surges ahead with innovative and explorative features. The Plexus’ upper is defined by a crafted aesthetic. Mixed textiles, juxtaposing colors, and uncovered construction elements give the shoe a handmade feel. The Plexus also features a distinctive closure, with a unique lace construction.

PUMA’s iconic Formstrip logo is indicated by rope laces woven through the upper of the Plexus, while the aggressive lines of the shoe’s tooling establish an unmistakable outdoor-ready attitude.

Lastly, the Plexus is set to launch in a striking “Elektro Green” color scheme, with additional colorways coming in 2023.

To celebrate the arrival of the Plexus, PUMA will be launching the Plexus Playground initiative. PUMA has partnered with digital creatives Forty-Two-And-A-Half, who enlisted 18 artists from their network to transform the Plexus, through physical transformations and 3D rendering.

The ION F Hybrid and ION F Puff differ in terms of color and boot material; with the ION F Hybrid finished principally in black with the boot material utilizing a mono mesh material with a digital inspired knitted pixel graphic. ION F Puff is finished in red and white and is constructed out of neoprene with custom embossing details in order to capture the look and feel of a winter puffy jacket.

PUMA Ambassador and Italian Olympic and European Champion Gianmarco Tamberi shares his motivation and goals in PUMA’s “Only See Great” campaign

Six years after his first gold medal, Tamberi takes back the European title and speaks about his motivation to keep performing at the highest level in a video interview with sports company PUMA.

With the ‘Only See Great’ campaign, PUMA explores the career path of its brand ambassadors, as they talk about their own paths to greatness, listening to their hearts, and finding a vision that no one else can see.

In the interview, Gianmarco talks about his very first successes and extraordinary performance at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

“That feeling that I had that day, that happiness I couldn’t even imagine that could exist. It’s something that was coming out of my body. My heart was exploding."

Tamberi really showed what the Olympic spirit is about when sharing first place. For him it felt just natural. “If both can go back with the happiness? With the proudness of what they have done. It’s much better. We didn’t even think one moment that it would have been different the end, so I will never regret that decision. We will remember it forever and I’m sure we will not be the only two people remembering it.”

The idea for PUMA’s “Only See Great” campaign was inspired by cultural icon, entrepreneur and philanthropist Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter who first said: “I only see great. I don’t see good. I don’t see compromise. We should always strive to make something great, something that will last.”

Global sports company PUMA customizes Max Verstappen´s race boot exclusively for the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix with the Speedcat Pro Zandvoort Special Edition. The eye-catching design is featuring the PUMA formstripe in the colors of the national flag of the Netherlands.

Sports company PUMA has today invited the world to join the Faster Football movement with the unveiling of the next generation ULTRA 1.3. For the first time, PUMA will offer both a Unisex and Women-specific fit for its trailblazing new speed boot. The launch marks a huge step for PUMA and the football world as PUMA shows its commitment to pushing the game forward and further supporting Women’s football.

FASTER FOOTBALL IS A MOVEMENT. A MOVEMENT TO DO THINGS DIFFERENT AND EMBRACE CHANGE.

The aim is to speed up the game with innovative products, hero PUMA’s leaders, support young players and break down barriers. 

“Faster Football is about driving positive change in football, faster. The new ULTRA is a huge leap forward and is filled with an abundance of innovative new technology. By offering a Unisex and Women-specific fit for the ULTRA, we want to cater to all our athletes, “said Matthias Bäumer, General Manager BU Teamsport. “We will continue to offer a Women-specific fit, along with our Unisex fit, giving our athletes the tools to perform at their highest level. The ULTRA 1.3 has been crafted to See Them Later, designed to light up the game with explosive straight-line speed. To be worn by some of the world’s best players, including Antoine Griezmann, Kingsley Coman, Sergio Agüero, Nikita Parris and Eugénie Le Sommer, the UTLRA 1.3 is engineered to deliver the game’s fastest football boot.

Both ULTRA editions feature a re-engineered lightweight MATRYXEVO woven upper featuring technical Carbon yarns and transparent Mono yarns. The new upper combines with a brand new SPEEDCAGE to create multilayered support for rapid movement. The upper features cut-out transparent windows in the mid foot to further reduce weight making the ULTRA 1.3 even lighter than the ULTRA 1.2.

Additional upgrades to the ULTRA include a GripControl Pro skin that now coats the entire upper – providing a texture for decisive command over the ball. The ULTRA Unisex features an ultra-fast lightweight PEBA SpeedUnit outsole infused with running spike DNA for lightning-fast acceleration and the Women-specific ULTRA features a customized PEBA soleplate with conical studs.

With a mission to drive the game forward, PUMA has developed the new ULTRA 1.3 with two bespoke performance fits that tailor to different foot shapes based on research, data and player feedback.

Research into the anatomy of the male and female foot, combined with cross comparison fit testing, formed the basis to develop our Women-specific ULTRA said Lilly Cocks, Senior Developer Teamsport Footwear. The Women’s-edition features a regular to narrow silhouette shape, a lower instep, reduced midfoot volume and conical studs. By removing more volume from the upper we have created a boot that is more tailored to the anatomical shape of the female foot.”

See Them Later with the PUMA ULTRA 1.3 Unisex and Women’s football boot, launching as part of the Faster Football pack. The Women’s edition is available on pre-sale from July 15th with the Unisex edition available from July 16th at PUMA.com and specialist football accounts. PUMA DRIVES STREET CULTURE WITH MOTORSPORT HISTORY BMW M MOTORSPORT AUTUMN/WINTER 21 COLLECTION

Herzogenaurach, Germany – 06 July 2021 — Global sports company PUMA delves deeper into motorsport history with the BMW M Motorsport Autumn / Winter ´21 Collection. The design inspiration ranges from the iconic BMW M1 Procar to the looks of historical race suits for men and women.

In 1978 the BMW M1 opened a new chapter of racing and sportscars. State of the art performance paired with the finest technology of engineering generated the fastest licensed streetcar for this period of time. Just one year afterwards the BMW M1 Procar Series was born. PUMA is celebrating this first concept car of BMW, implementing the iconic silhouette of the BMW M1 Procar as the main graphic inspiration of the street collection of the autumn / winter ´21 range. The assortment is featuring color blocking elements infiltrating the range of jackets, hoodies, pants and t-shirts a casual look.

A fresh retro approach is offered by the latest franchise of PUMA called Speed Driver Series, or SDS. The inspiration is driven by the looks of historical race suits. Color blocks mixed with racetrack icons set the SDS up for classic simplicity and generates a new Motorsport retro collection.

For women-only PUMA is offering a total range of apparel featuring e.g. cropped tops, leggings as well as dresses in the respective motorsport inspired looks and bold colorways. The Moto Racesuit is a full body taking its inspirations directly from the trackside coming in PUMA black with orange hues.

Variations all over the place are offered by the BMW M Motorsport Footwear Collection. The Low Racer tunes up a classic silhouette with a motorsport twist resulting in a playful makeover of an  80’s piece while the RS-Connect rides the wave of the technological transformation with a future design, richly layered upper, and unique tooling. The women footwear range is coming with the Cruise Rider Lace being inspired by vintage cars featuring a stacked outsole and TPU clip and the City Rider bringing extra-bright colors and the signature Rider outsole on the tarmac.
