Your mission
The Manager, Visual Merchandising – Malaysia is responsible for driving brand-consistent, commercially effective, and premium retail experiences across all retail and wholesale doors in the country. This role leads VM strategy, execution excellence, and team capability development to ensure that PUMA’s global direction is translated into locally relevant, high-impact store environments that elevate consumer experience and drive sell-through. The role acts as the VM market lead, partnering closely with Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, and SEA VM to deliver best-in-class execution across seasonal campaigns, new store openings, and ongoing store standards.
Task 1: VM Strategy & Execution Excellence
Own end-to-end VM planning and execution for all seasonal campaigns, RESEC launches, and brand initiatives.
Translate SEA and Global VM guidelines into locally relevant store zoning and storytelling.
Ensure strong execution standards across: Windows, Landing zones, Wall bays, Mannequin styling, Key franchise storytelling.
Conduct regular store visits, audits, and VM reporting to drive continuous improvement.
Lead VM setup for new store openings, refurbishments, and re-zonings.
Task 2: Brand Presentation & Creative Implementation
Elevate in-store brand presence through impactful use of: Graphics, Props, Fixtures, Window concepts, POP communication.
Ensure premium and consistent brand expression across retail and wholesale doors.
Adapt global assets to local store formats while maintaining brand integrity.
Provide graphic and visual direction support when required.
Task 3: VM Operations, Planning & Budget Control
Manage VM budget and expenses efficiently, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Plan and optimize: Merchandise display capacity, Store layout and zoning effectiveness.
Work with suppliers and production vendors for VM fabrication and installation.
Ensure timely rollout of VM tools and campaign elements across stores.
Task 4: Cross-Functional Alignment
Collaborate closely with: Retail Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, SEA VM Team.
Align on campaign priorities, product focus, and commercial objectives.
Support trade shows, key activations, and special projects.
Task 5: Team Development & Capability Building
Lead and guide VM Specialists and in-store VM teams.
Conduct VM trainings and seasonal briefings.
Build a strong VM culture focused on: Styling excellence, Commercial awareness, Execution discipline.
Your talent
Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent studied in Photoshop, Illustrator and File maker Pro.
Professional: Functional: Proven Retail/Trade marketing experience for an international multi categories’ brand; previous budget management responsibilities.
Industry: sports or fashion industry.
IT Skills: Familiar with print design; Good proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PPT, Excel, and Word.
Language Skills: English is essential
