PUMA Hong Kong teamed up with CIC-Zero Carbon Park to host an exciting SWOP SHOP event. This initiative brought together the PUMA Family and participants from Hong Kong, who exchanged their gently used sportswear and activewear. Over 60 dedicated PUMA employees from both, office and retail, volunteered at the event, assisting with sorting clothes, collecting donations, and managing the check-out counters. Thanks to their efforts, PUMA donated over 70 full boxes of collected clothes to the Crossroads Foundation, ensuring these garments are either recycled or distributed to those in need. This not only extends the lifecycle of the clothes but also promotes a sustainable fashion lifestyle. 👚

PUMA has recently been recognized for its strong and purpose-led sustainability initiatives by the Laureus Sport for Good Index. Launched in 2021, the Laureus Sport for Good Index shines light on brands that, through collaboration, innovation and creativity, are making significant contributions across the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as aligning their business output with their sports investments and activations.
Nelson Mandela famously said in 2000, at the inaugural Laureus World Sports Awards: “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.”
This year, an additional 11 brands have been added to the Index, including Puma, Xbox, Lidl, Eon, Tentree and Dove, taking the total number of honourees recognised in the Index since its inception to 76. Determined by an independently adjudicated judging process overseen by a panel of industry experts, the purpose of the Index is to shine a light on organisations that are having the clearest and most meaningful impact, and to provide compelling evidence for the role that sport can play in driving sustainable change.

PUMA has earned top-tier recognition in the 2024 Material Change Index by Textile Exchange, a global non-profit organization driving progress in responsible materials sourcing.
Their aim? to help the fashion industry achieve a 45% reduction in greenhouse gases from raw material production by 2030.
This index recognizes brands that stand out in integrating sustainable materials strategies, aligning with global climate goals, and advancing circular material use. The achievement presents as a significant milestone for PUMA, which rose from the second highest “Scaling” tier in 2023.
Responsible Materials at the Core of PUMA’s Mission
“We understand the critical role materials play in reducing our carbon footprint and environmental impact,” said Anne Laure Descours, PUMA’s Chief Sourcing Officer. “Being recognized as a leader in the Material Change Index motivates us to push even further in strengthening our materials strategy.”
As part of our 10FOR25 sustainability targets, PUMA is aiming to ensure that 9 out of 10 of our products are made with preferred fibers or certified materials. In 2023, this was already the case for 8 out 10 products, where:
99.7% of leather came from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries.
99.2% of cotton was certified or recycled.
99.4% of paper and cardboard packaging met certified standards.
65% of polyester in apparel and accessories was recycled.
PUMA’s recognition by the Material Change Index underlines our commitment to setting industry standards for responsible materials sourcing.
There’s only one Forever. Let’s make it Better.
