We are looking for a design leader with a successful record to oversee PUMA’s International Running Apparel Collection. This person will be responsible for the execution of the Running Apparel line, bridging the gap between global run culture and PUMA’s overarching brand identity. Your mission

The Developer will be responsible for the product commercialization of US Apparel ranges from design to style sign off for production. Coordinate with Product line managers, PGS Branch offices in Hong Kong, China, Bangladesh & Central America as well as PNA teams whenever required. The core objective will be to develop a product which is feasible in production, achieve target cost & suggest alternate solutions to design if required.  Role would be reporting to Lead Developer and serve as the Boston based gatekeeper team, ensuring on time and alignment of the end-to-end development timeline.

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of garment bill of materials, product database, style sign off based on R&D calendar

  • Work closely with domestic vendor by providing artwork, TP’s and approving strike offs and lab dips on shorter lead times.

  • Evaluate all 3D and physical prototypes & samples to ensure details and workmanship are correct, materials used fall within the required costing structure and all test parameters are met.

  • Participate in all product meetings/fit sessions. Identify key issues in pricing, construction and workmanship. Communicate issues/problem solving ideas on these issues to allow vendor to proceed to the next sample/bulk stage.

  • Daily communication between Design/Product Line Management/Sourcing offices

  • Partners with Design/Development team to research the market for innovative ideas to further grow and better the product line

Your mission

  • Prepare market and competitor studies on an international level and specific for the Chinese market as well as analyze forecasts and sales analyses
  • Support the development of collection and marketing strategies for assigned product lines
  • Ensuring a correct as well as punctual input and maintenance of the Product Range Management system for all assigned product lines and all required information
  • Responsible for all product related administrative work incl. catalogue, sell-in tools, hangtags…
  • Cooperate with Merchandising, Design and Development (PUMA Group Sourcing) to ensure that the final collection is reflecting market needs
  • Work closely with Business Unit, footwear, apparel and accessories teams to ensure concept and product coordination across all product segments
  • Support the product creation process based on the Go-to-Market (gtm) calendar
  • Present the product lines to international partners and key accounts
  • Coordinate and final check of the instore date/product flow
  • Check the final Free on Board-prices considering given target margins
  • Collaborate in planning the whole sell-in support (catalogue etc.)

Your talent

  • University degree in Business or Marketing
  • Minimum 2-3 years of international apparel experience in a similar position with a top tier international sports company
  • Very good knowledge and passion for the sport, consumer trends as well as the sportswear market in China
  • Very strong analytical skills, overall business orientation
  • Very good verbal and written language skills in Mandarin and English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of MS Office environment (Excel, Power Point, etc.)

Your mission

  • Responsible for the creative design and execution of seasonal international footwear product line.

Your mission

As a Senior Research & Sports Science Manager, you will execute the design, implementation, and analysis of biomechanical and physiological tests that provide direct performance insights into product. You will serve a vital role validating and optimizing our performance product. You will play a key role in translating lab findings to a multidisciplinary team and relating findings to footwear and athlete performance.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead internal and external programs which deliver sports science insights to increase the understanding of the athlete and athlete-product interaction 

  • Lead NITRO Lab testing with a focus on delivering proven performance insights both on hypothesis and validation level 

  • Question methods, results, and application and think outside normal paradigms to find creative ways around barriers  

  • Utilize scientific expertise to develop and implement protocols that deliver performance insights 

  • Connect the dots in all phases of research to provide a holistic evaluation of new concepts to achieve objectives as well as a high level of efficiency and accountability  

  • Translate and communicate research findings into meaningful performance outcomes for key stakeholders 

  • Work closely and build relationships with some of our key athletes  

  • Manage and mentor lab members

Your talent

  • MS or PhD in Kinesiology, Engineering, Biomechanics, or a related field  
  • 5+ years' experience in footwear research 
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, experimental design, and statistical analysis  
  • Proven experience working with athletes and coaches 
  • Strong technical skills with biomechanical equipment (metabolic cart, motion capture, force plates, IMUs, pressure insoles)   
  • Experience with data processing in Matlab, Python, or R  
  • Excellent organization and time management skills as well as written and verbal communication skills  
  • Domestic and International travel required
