Your mission
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Performance
- Drive store sales, KPIs, and profitability through effective short- and long-term planning.
- Support expense control and ensure strong operational execution.
- Spend 90% of your time on the sales floor engaging customers, selling, and coaching the team.
- Step in as Store Manager when required.
Customer Experience
- Ensure consistently high service standards aligned with PUMA’s Brand Values.
- Lead by example in delivering a premium consumer experience.
People & Leadership
- Support recruitment, training, development, and succession planning of Associates and Supervisors.
- Ensure all required Domestic and Global training programs are completed.
- Coach and develop a results-driven team culture.
Operations & Compliance
- Drive Loss Prevention education and awareness.
- Ensure operational compliance and adherence to company policies.
- Manage inventory, shrinkage, and oversee physical stock counts.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing merchandise processing.
- Ensure accurate POS transactions, refunds, exchanges, and compliance with discount policies.
- Maintain store visual standards in line with PUMA guidelines.
- Ensure the store environment is safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
Your talent
- Tertiary qualification in Retail Business Management or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ retail experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager (or similar) in a high-volume retail environment (apparel/footwear advantageous)
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage KPIs and payroll
- Solid operational experience, including inventory and stock management
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and retain high-performing teams
- Hands-on leader with a strong presence on the shop floor
- Strong problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage teams and present to groups
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook and internet applications
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and retail trading hours
