Your mission
As Senior Manager Data Governance, you will play a critical leadership role in strengthening the foundations of PUMA’s data landscape. You will champion enterprise-wide data governance, quality, and compliance to support data-driven decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance Strategy & Policies
Develop and implement data governance strategies aligned with PUMA’s business objectives.
Assist in defining data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, consistency and timeliness.
Business–IT Partnership
Serve as the main liaison between business and IT teams to resolve data governance–related challenges.
Data Quality Management
Perform complex data profiling, cleansing, validation, and monitoring.
Track and report on data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
Define metrics and KPIs to evaluate improvements in data quality.
Compliance & Data Privacy
Ensure adherence to global and regional regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and internal data protection standards.
Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and IT Security teams to implement and enforce data privacy policies.
Data Access, Metadata & Documentation
Contribute to defining data access, classification, and retention policies.
Maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata standards.

Skills
Technical Skills:
Expertise in data governance frameworks, policies, and operating models
Strong knowledge of data quality management (profiling, cleansing, validation)
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and implementation
Proficiency in metadata management, business glossaries, and data dictionaries
Understanding of data classification, access controls, and retention policies
Hands-on experience with Data Governance tools (Ataccama, Collibra, etc.)
Ability to define and track data quality KPIs and metrics
Strong knowledge of enterprise data platforms and architectural principles
Ability to collaborate with data engineering teams to embed governance in pipelines
Leadership Skills:
Ability to set and drive a data governance vision aligned with business strategy
Skilled at translating technical concepts into business impact
Proven capability to lead cross-functional programs and governance initiatives
Ability to influence and advocate for data-driven decision-making
Excellent communication and facilitation skills for training and awareness programs
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills in a multi-stakeholder environment
Ability to mentor and develop data governance champions across the organization
Strategic mindset with the ability to balance governance and agility
