PUMA team Malmö FF has once again solidified its status as Sweden’s most successful football club by winning the Swedish League “Allsvenskan” for the 24th time.
On Monday, Malmö beat IFK Göteborg 2–1 at home to secure their fourth title in five years with two matches left to play.
Göteborg took the early lead in the 25th minute but Malmö’s manager showed great instincts by bringing on two substitutes who made it 1-1 in the 59th minute and who scored the winning goal in the 78th minute.
PUMA has been Malmö’s partner since 2002 and also worked together with the club from 1976 to 1977 and from 1986 to 1997, a total of more than 35 years of history.
Because of the harsh Scandinavian winter, the Swedish league has a rather unusual calendar with the 30 matches of the season being played from March to November.

PUMA Athlete and St. Lucian sprint star Julien Alfred has been honored as the Best Female Athlete of the Paris 2024 Olympics by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).
Last summer, Julien showcased her incredible talent by winning gold in the women’s 100m final of the Paris Olympics with a personal best of 10.72 seconds and securing a silver medal in the 200m with a time of 22.08 seconds. Her remarkable performances not only highlighted that at just 23 years old, she is one of the fastest women on the planet, but they also marked a historic moment for her home country of St. Lucia: Her medals were the first Olympic medals for the small Caribbean nation with fewer than 200,000 inhabitants.
Julien joined PUMA in 2023, after she experienced a meteoric rise. She was undefeated in the 100 metres during the 2022 NCAA season, and she picked up a silver medal in the same event at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022. In 2023, she became the first woman in NCAA history to break the seven second barrier in the 60 metres.
From all of us at PUMA, congratulations Julien!

No brand had more elite runners in the top 20 of the New York City Marathon last weekend than PUMA. Out of the best 20 men and 20 women, eight runners wore PUMA’s Deviate NITRO 3, seven of them in the Elite version and one in the standard version. Our female runners stood out especially, with Kenyan runner Vivian Cheruiyot coming in third and Sara Vaughn finishing sixth as the fastest American woman.
The list of top shoes at the NYC Marathon was compiled by Run Outside Online, a platform for running enthusiasts. It said the Deviate Nitro Elite 3 edged out other models as the fastest shoes at the event.
PUMA’s comeback in elite running, powered by our NITRO technology. has been nothing short of spectacular. After decades of absence from the pinnacle of running, Vivian’s third place is the latest in a string of podium finishes at Marathon Majors for our PUMA Athletes this year.
Vivian, the 41-year-old veteran of the sport, even shaved more than 40 seconds off her previous NYC best, set in 2018. It’s a great example of PUMA pushing the boundaries of sports with innovation and newness.
The women’s race was highly competitive, with a large pack of runners staying together for much of the race. At the 25-kilometer mark, there were still 18 runners at the front. Vivian prevailed and crossed the finish line just 45 seconds behind the winner. Her podium in New York adds another great result to her resume, as she won gold in the 5000 meters at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
