Your mission

As the Junior Manager Data Engineering, you will be part of the DTC data engineers team, shaping the technical vision and execution of our data infrastructure, pipelines, and platforms. Your mission is to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance data solutions that empower our organization to make data-driven decisions. You will drive innovation in data architecture, ensure seamless data flow, and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning across multiple locations.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Data Engineering

  • Support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) on a specific domain (eg: Marketing)

  • Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer under the guidance of senior engineers

  • Assist with data quality checks, pipeline monitoring, and basic troubleshooting

  • Contribute to documentation of data processes, schemas, and pipeline logic.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Support

  • Assist in collecting and documenting business requirements from stakeholders

  • Help validate that delivered data solutions align with business needs

  • Support day-to-day project, including meeting notes, status updates, and follow-ups

  • Participate in requirements workshops and sprint ceremonies, gradually taking ownership over time.

Your talent

Technical Expertise

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant coursework or projects in data engineering are a plus.

  • Programming: Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL with an eagerness to deepen your skills.

  • Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud services (e.g., Azure, GCP) and their data solutions is a bonus.

  • Data Tools: Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) or ETL tools is advantageous.

  • Databases: Understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and a curiosity about NoSQL databases.

Soft Skills

  • Learning Mindset: Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of data engineering, with a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.

  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable steps.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to writing clean, well-documented code and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
