It’s a modern, functional design with a camouflage pattern in blues and has already been worn by the likes of Lothar Matthäus and Hector Bellerin. Each piece of the special collection is graced by the logo of the small, relatively unknown regional football club from the heart of Bavaria, Germany.
For this Autumn-Winter 2016, we have teamed up with 1. FC Herzogenaurach, a local football club from PUMA’s hometown, for a special limited collection of street wear. But why would you do a collection with this particular small club?
“Today, design on its own isn’t enough anymore. Every collection and every product needs to tell a story,” explains our Global Creative Director, Torsten Hochstetter. “And what’s a more authentic story than working with a club so intertwined with our brand and home town? What’s more real than a logo that has existed for 100 years?”
The collection, which is part of our SELECT offering of limited editions, includes classic silhouettes from football such as indoor boots, track jackets, and functional t-shirts. All pieces are inspired by PUMA’s hometown and 1. FC Herzogenaurach and include historical elements like the 1. FCH logo, the club’s iconic blue colour as well as our own historical Rudolf Dassler Logo. A key element is a special camouflage pattern that is actually made up of the outlines of Herzogenaurach, the town’s district of Erlangen-Höchstadt, and finally Germany.

“Leggings have become the most-worn piece of my closet. They are comfortable, easy to wear and extremely versatile. You can pair them up with a T-shirt or track jacket to create a sporty look, or wear a blouse or a flowy top like this cape to create a more sophisticated look.
I love this black and white combo; the silhouettes are very flattering and the white print makes the style look dynamic. The copper logos on the apparel pieces add a touch of sophistication and I like to pair them up with matching copper earrings or bracelet. My biggest problem this morning was actually to decide whether to finish off the look with a pair of black/white Suedes or the black PUMA Fierce!”

Autumn season is pumpkin season! The orange-yellow vegetable (or fruit, technically) is not only low in calories but rich in antioxidant vitamins and works great in soups and stews, curries, salads or pies. For this recipe, we turn Hokkaido into fry shapes – maximum taste with only a handful of ingredients. These pumpkin fries might be your new go-to side dish for autumn.

In less than a week, his single “Starboy” amassed over 17 million streams globally and 6.5 million streams in the United States.
Whose single?
We’re talking about Abel Tesfaye a.k.a. The Weeknd, who has become our latest brand ambassador.
The Grammy-winning artist’s track “Starboy” featuring Daft Punk broke the record for “Most Release Weekend Streams Ever.” Proof for his lyrical genious and popularity, making him a great Global Ambassador for our brand and perfect collaborator to bring some of his creative lens to our products. After Rihanna, he joins Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug as the latest music artists to team up with us.
The Weeknd will headline our Sportstyle campaign ‘Run The Streets’, which launches this November and was shot in LA and Toronto. The perfect location for The Weeknd, who grew up in Toronto. According to him, the city has long been his source of inspiration and his hustle in the music industry reflects the ‘on the go’ lifestyle of the images.

PUMA’s new “Do You” women’s campaign – led by ultimate cool kid Cara Delevingne – is dedicated to women unapologetically being themselves and celebrates female individuality in all its facets. Inspired by PUMA trailblazers like Rihanna and Cara, we put together a collection of songs by women that march to the beat of their own drum.

“You should never sacrifice yourself, because keeping yourself and knowing who you are will get you further than trying to change who you are to either fit in or to improve your current position,” says New York City Ballet’s Mimi Staker.
The dancer follows model Cara Delevigne as one of our female ambassadors to be featured in our “DO YOU” campaign, which focuses on women. Alongside Mimi Staker, we bring together a whole roster of fearless women this month, including her New York City Ballet colleague Olivia Boisson, track and field athletes Jenna Prandini, Alexandra Wester and Tatjana Pinto, Lianma Flores Stable and Leila Consuelo Ortega Martinez of the Cuban National Volleyball Team.
Each of the women from different sports are equipped with our innovative and fashion forward sneakers and apparel, and each tells a story of bravery and confidence from their sport, art, or day to day lives.
German Track & Field Athlete Alexandra Wester found her strength in the Long Jump competition, and her positive energy and confidence took her to Rio. She says: “It all starts with the belief in yourself that you can do it. Every girl can realize their dreams if they stay true to themselves and persist on accomplishing their goals.”

Green smoothies have been all the rage for a while now. From the vibrant colour to the rich flavour and the instant nutritional boost – if prepared correctly, they will do your body good. For our recipe, we combine vitamin-loaded spinach with the sweetness of bananas and pears. Furthermore, we use cashew nuts which provide healthy fats, Greek yoghurt which contains twice as much protein as regular yogurt and honey which has an anti-inflammatory effect. “I remember when Rihanna came to our PUMA Headquarters the first time,” says Sorah Marlene. “She wore an all-white outfit with a pair of custom-made Suede with a Creeper sole. I was reminded of that when I got dressed for work.”
“By coincidence we both came in wearing the same thing today! It’s funny because we didn’t plan our outfits together,” adds Peggy. “The platform on the sneaker works well with the jumpsuit’s relaxed silhouette.”

New album, new hairstyle, new ad campaign – our latest creative collaborator, Grammy-winning artist and style icon Abel Tesfaye a.k.a. The Weeknd, is certainly not someone to stand still. It’s this very attitude and ‘on the go’ lifestyle that he is bringing to our just-launched ‘Run the Streets’ Sportstyle campaign for Spring-Summer ’17, which he is headlining.
The campaign was shot by well-known photographer Mark Seliger in L.A. and Toronto – the city where The Weeknd grew up and which has long served as a source of inspiration for him.
In the new images with The Weeknd going live in PUMA stores and digitally this month, we are introducing stylish and technical streetwear products. Youthful and fresh, the head-to-toe collection includes sneakers like the IGNITE evoKNIT that was introduced in July 2016, the running shoe IGNITE Limitless that has been teased in The Weeknd’s Starboy video and will hit stores in February 2017, as well as further footwear and street-inspired, versatile apparel and accessories for the next season.
Watch out for the campaign and its featured products in stores worldwide and online from this month onwards.

Pop icon Madonna loved its spiky silouhette so much, she wore it throughout her entire Drowned World Tour in 2002, while actor Scarlett Johansson spent a whole movie on the run with her feet strapped into its Velcro fastenings. We are, of course, talking about the PUMA Mostro, our iconic sneaker that was launched in the 90s and is now coming back to stores with a new, sleek look.
The sneaker, which is affectionally named after the Italian for “monster”, exceeded expectations to become one of the most unconventional trend pieces in the last few decades.
Originally inspired by two sports shoes – a sprinting spike from 1968 and a surfing shoe from the 80s – the Mostro is well-known for its signature alternative Velcro closure system and non-slip dimpled sole with an overall style that “walks the line between sport and style”.
Next season, Spring 2017, we are paying tribute to the original’s disruptive silouhette and success by reimagining it in a lightweight and minimalistic style.
