Your mission
- Build seasonal merchandising and buying strategies across footwear, apparel, and accessories, ensuring assortments support consumer demand, brand priorities, and financial objectives.
- Develop consumer-centric assortments from the global product range while identifying regional opportunities and category needs for PUMA.com.
- Partner with DTC Planning on forecasting, buy quantities, and financial alignment to ensure category strategies are reflected in the numbers.
- Prepare and interpret sales, inventory, sell-through, margin, and marketplace data to provide recommendations, action plans, and business updates.
- Lead seasonal line architecture, visual assortment tools, product hindsight recaps, and merchandising presentations to support seasonal alignment and decision-making.
- Manage product-related information and ensure accuracy across key deliverables, including pricing, forecasts, product setup, intro dates, distribution, order entry, and delivery tracking.
- Partner closely with Ecommerce Merchandising to support site execution, product placement, digital navigation, and brand initiative alignment.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Ecommerce partners to maximize product exposure during key selling periods and ensure assortment stories are supported as planned.
- Work with Product Line Management and Global Merchandising partners to ensure seasonal product ranges support brand voice, channel needs, and architecture requirements.
- Monitor competitive websites, marketplace trends, consumer purchasing habits, pricing, key items, and category shifts to identify assortment opportunities and risks.
- Provide weekly and monthly business updates on category performance, including strengths, weaknesses, risks, and recommended actions.
- Partner cross-functionally with Retail, Wholesale, and DTC Merchandising teams to ensure product stories are integrated across footwear, apparel, and accessories for a cohesive consumer experience.
- Identify operational efficiencies and support process improvements that help drive profitability, executional excellence, and business growth.
Your talent
- 5+ years of experience in Merchandising or Buying in either a Wholesale or Retail organization or equivalent,
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Strong business acumen and deep knowledge of retail math, including sell-through, gross margin, discounting, open-to-buy, inventory productivity, and sales plan management.
- Experience managing multi-category assortments across footwear, apparel, and accessories preferred.
- Strong analytical ability with experience turning sales and marketplace data into clear business actions.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas, with strong PowerPoint and Microsoft Office capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present recommendations and influence cross-functional partners.
- Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and project management skills with the ability to meet seasonal deadlines.
- Ability to establish an independent point of view and contribute to decision-making forums.
The hiring range base pay for this position is $57,000-$75,810 + Bonus + Benefits
