Your mission
- Supports the leadership and day-to-day operation of the Technical Development team, ensuring consistent and accurate execution of fit, measurement and workmanship across garments
- Works closely with all stakeholders and suppliers to support technical decision-making throughout the garment development process and enables efficient execution by coordinating team activities, supporting risk assessment and escalating critical topics where required
- Team Leadership & Daily Operations: Lead and support a team of technical experts, providing guidance on fit, grading, measurement, and garment construction topics. Act as escalation point for difficult cases. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by coordinating workloads and monitoring progress against development timelines. Foster transparency by keeping the team aligned on project status, changes, and potential challenges. Drive execution of key initiatives and ad hoc projects in line with business priorities. Empower team members through clear role definitions, performance expectations, and a continuous improvement mindset
- Fit, Measurement, Workmanship & Sample Approval Governance: Manage sample approval for fit, measurement and workmanship within the development and OPD (Order Placement) calendar. Provide technical support to development team in achieving high-quality product outcomes. Collaborate closely with suppliers to address construction topics early and drive effective solutions. Participate in milestone fitting sessions and provide technical guidance to validate fit and construction
- Risk Assessment & CFT (Certified Factory Technician) Workflow Support: Support risk assessments in collaboration with QA and suppliers to ensure production feasibility and quality standards. Coordinate and support Certified Factory Technician (CFT) training with suppliers, contributing to capability building and process efficiency. Capture and share technical insights and feedback to continuously improve standards, guidelines, and workflows
- Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with Product Manager, Designer, Developers, QA and Production to ensure seamless technical execution from design handover to production. Act as a trusted technical partner supporting decision-making when priorities conflict (quality / cost / timeline). Escalate strategic or systemic issues with clear analysis and recommendations to the line manager
Your talent
- Graduate in Textiles/Clothing Engineering or Management
- 8+ years relevant experience major in Sportswear Apparel
with Team Management experience - Knowledge of Gerber/3D Software
- Good communication skills in English; Mandarin (Putonghua) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, patterns and grading
- Solid understanding of textiles and fabric behavior
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking
- Leadership and Coaching mindset
