MADE FOR THE HIGHLIGHT REELS PUMA LAUNCHES THE FUTURE 1.4 FASTEST EDITION

Take off from kick off and blaze past everyone with the FUTURE 1.4 Fastest edition, as seen on some of the game’s most exciting entertainers Neymar Jr., Ingrid Engen, James Maddison and Fridolina Rolfö.

More adaptive and comfortable than ever, the FUTURE is all about future innovation and pushing the boundaries of technology for players who shape the game to their vision and skill. With the FUTURE you don’t have to lace up to lock in. The second-generation FUZIONFIT+ technology adapts to the shape of your foot to give you the perfect balance of support and flexibility in each of the key zones, ensuring optimal fit and performance, with or without laces.

The adaptive compression technology perfectly adjusts to the contours of each foot. Paired with a lightweight Nano Grip sockliner insole, the technology minimizes foot slippage inside the boot, allowing you to maintain power transfer for explosive multi-directional movements.

The FUZIONFIT+ knit utilizes a specific mix of polyester and spandex yarns, with special technical yarns to create the perfect balance of compression, comfort and durability for that second-skin feeling.

The FUTURE features Advanced Creator Zones that are engineered to enhance ball grip and provide softness in the forefoot, which is key for optimal control and touch when dribbling, passing and finishing. The mesh material in the forefoot provides a thinner layer between foot and ball for added touch sensitivity. The Advanced Creator Zone patterns allow you to play without constraint, through a mix of grippy textures that help you to manipulate the ball.

A feature retained from the previous model is the Dynamic Motion System outsole designed for optimal traction. The super lightweight PEBA tooling system, with its eye-catching soleplate reduces weight and provides a solid base to generate devastating accelerations, movements and skills in all directions.

The FUTURE comes in both Unisex and Women’s specific fits. The Women’s fit has been engineered for the female foot so you can make your mark on the pitch. PUMA continues to cater for the needs of all athletes to ensure they have the tools they need to perform at their highest level.

The FUTURE 1.4 Fastest edition is available from July 21st at PUMA.com and at leading football retailers worldwide.

PUMA AND AC MILAN UNVEIL THE NEW 2022/23 AWAY KIT INSPIRED BY THE ROSSONERI’S SEVEN EUROPEAN TITLES AND ICONIC WHITE KITS

Global sports company PUMA and Serie A Champions AC Milan have today launched the 2022/23 Away kit, inspired by the Rossoneri’s seven European titles, their iconic white kits and ‘That Milan Touch’. The new Away kit will be worn by the men’s, women’s and youth teams in their respective competitions.

AC Milan take a victory lap with the fresh all-white Away kit synonymous with some of the Club’s biggest titles and finals. In 1963, when the Club became the first Italian team to lift the European Champion Clubs’ Cup, AC Milan did so in an all-white strip. Six decades and seven European titles, the all-white Away kit remains an iconic part of the Club’s identity.

This season, the tradition continues with the throwback to a fan favorite; the 1984/85 Away kit. The white kit with horizontal pinstripes made an instant impact that year. This kicked off a new era of dominance for the Club, as they went on to win five more European titles wearing a white kit in every single final.

The white base features seven red horizontal stripes across the middle of the jersey in a fresh new take on the 1984/85 Away jersey. The seven stripes represent AC Milan’s seven European title triumphs, from the very first in 1963 at London’s Wembley Stadium, until the most recent title in Athens, 2007. The jersey features black and red trims on the sleeve cuffs and on the V-neck collar, along with the Milan coat of arms on the upper back.

“For this year’s Away kit, we wanted to bring back an all-white kit, an iconic look for AC Milan Away kits that has been a staple of recent trophies winning seasons,” said Marco Mueller, PUMA Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel. “AC Milan is steeped in history, so we looked to the 1984/85 season Away kit as an inspiration. We wanted to bring a fresh energy to that kit and celebrate iconic all-white kits of the past.”

Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan, commented “AC Milan is a club that always looks to the future, whilst never forgetting its tradition and heritage. That is why we are particularly proud to unveil the new jersey, which mixes AC Milan’s great past with its innovative spirit and elegant style, hence creating a new product that we are sure will resonate well with our over 500 million fans across the globe. It is a jersey rich in symbolism, with the white kit being an iconic part of who we are and the seven stripes representing the club’s incredible success in Europe.”

Honorary Vice-President Franco Baresi, who was the Rossoneri captain in the 1984/85 season, also shared his comments on the new Away kit. “Having worn the original 1984/85 Away kit, I truly love the inspiration behind the new Away jersey for next season. The white jersey always has a special meaning for all AC Milan fans as it is a symbol of the global success of our beloved Club.”

The new Away kit embraces the strategic direction undertaken by AC Milan and PUMA, with the two brands utilizing the style, fashion and culture of Milan to develop performance and off-pitch fashionable products that tap into the unique Milanese style. A direction that transpires from the official photoshoot of the campaign, which features local Milanese talent and players from the AC Milan men’s and women’s teams as part of a stylish and elegant ensemble.

The new jersey arrives in two iterations. The Authentic jersey features ULTRAWEAVE performance fabric and dryCELL sweat-wicking technology, making the jersey the lightest and most comfortable PUMA has ever made. The Replica version is made with 100% recycled polyester and equipped with dryCELL sweat-wicking technology to keep you dry and comfortable throughout the 90 minutes and beyond – no matter the time, pitch or place. Both the Authentic and Replica jerseys are made with 100% recycled materials, excluding the trims and decorations as a step toward a better future.

Celebrate decades of titles and iconic white kits with the 2022/23 AC Milan Away kit, available to pre-order exclusively at the AC Milan store at the AC Milan Stadium and acmilan.com/shop from July 19th with the global release on July 22nd at PUMA stores, PUMA .com and at select retailers worldwide.

The new Away kit will make its debut on Saturday 23rd July, when the men’s team take on Zalaegerszegi TE at the ZTE Arena in Zalaegerszegi, Hungary.

THE INFLUENCE PACK

Sports company PUMA has today launched the Influence Pack, a collection featuring four individual football jerseys each inspired by a special city and its football culture. PUMA has partnered with COPA90, nss sports, SEASON zine and SHUKYU magazine to create jerseys crafted from the cultures of London, New York, Naples and Tokyo.

PUMA X COPA90 JERSEY

COPA90 is inspired by New York’s soccer culture. A scene that started as a counterculture movement, defying age-old traditions, a product of New York’s history of hustling and change. Just like the city itself, the soccer pitches draw together people from different backgrounds, allowing them to forge their own traditions.

In collaboration with COPA90, PUMA has designed a special jersey inspired by the great city of New York. The famous five boroughs are a focal point of the design, along with the iconic bridges that connect them.

The black jersey with gold trim features all over graphics of famous places, buildings and soccer pitches located in the city. The crest features a comic version of the iconic Statue of Liberty, while the number five is displayed on the front and the back of the jersey, paying tribute to the five boroughs of New York. Written in gold, the COPA90 logo is displayed across the jersey’s neckline.

PUMA X NSS JERSEY

Born in 2012, nss magazine has become the reference point for street culture, sneakers and fashion communities and enthusiasts all over Europe. nss sports is a branch of nss magazine who are dedicated to football and sportswear culture.

In partnership with nss, PUMA has designed a truly unique jersey influenced by the city of Naples, the birthplace of nss magazine. The jersey also features a special tribute to the city’s brotherhood with Kagoshima, with reference to both cities and their volcanoes: Mount Vesuvius and Mount Sakurajima.

The slick grey jersey features a custom volcano crest, with the nss logo displayed across the front of the jersey in place of the sponsor logo. The all over flame graphic representing the fire from the volcanoes takes inspiration from old Japanese football jerseys. The neckline integrates the names and coordinates of both volcanoes.

PUMA Influence Pack
PUMA X SEASON ZINE JERSEY

SEASON zine is a London-based trailblazing football and fashion platform founded in 2016 to counter the male, pale and sometimes stale state of modern football culture. Across print issues with original football stickers, events, newsletters, and more, the magazine empowers women and marginalized communities on and far beyond the pitch.

PUMA and SEASON zine have partnered to create a refreshing pastel jersey that reflects the platform’s journey.  If you’re from London or you’ve visited London, you’ve almost certainly travelled by tube. The bespoke all-over graphic pays homage to the well-known retro patterns taken from the seats found on London’s public transport network in powder lilac and white, with a tech twist on the London tube map overlaid on top in vivid mint. A shiny grey ‘SEASON’ logo is displayed in place of the sponsor logo and on the neckline, you can find ‘FASHION FOOTBALL est.2016’ spelling out the platform’s beginning.

SEASON zine is celebrating its fifth birthday this year and the crest features 10 stars – one for each issue planned. Celebrate Your Journey! In this jersey. How far you’ve come, the lessons learned, everything you’ve achieved.

PUMA Influence Pack
PUMA X SHUKYU JERSEY

SHUKYU is a football culture magazine based in Tokyo. The magazine focuses on players, clubs, supporters, fashion, art and the culture that exists beyond the beautiful game.

The striking green jersey draws inspiration from the city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese event ‘Kemari’, a form of historical football. The Kemari festival takes place each year and is a platform for players to show their talents.

For this special jersey the cherry blossom motif has been used in an all over graphic inspired by the design of typical ‘Kimono’ costumes. The jersey also features a custom crest in homage to traditional Japanese patterns and fabrics. The magazine title is displayed in bold across the front of the jersey and the layout of the magazine’s front cover is displayed on the back of the jersey featuring the number 11.

Driven by PUMA’s brand DNA to be brave, the new designs defy convention, taking inspiration from other sports and key streetwear and fashion trends.

“Our aim was to challenge traditional football jersey design. We wanted to look at the kits through a new lens and push the boundaries as far as possible. It is easy to play safe, but we want to change perceptions of a conventional football jersey”, said Carl Tuffley, Senior Head of Design Manager Teamsport. “The Third kits are an opportunity to be bold, so we wanted to reenergize these jerseys and take a new direction. • Statistics indicate that only 63-81% of athletes return to the same level of competition following an ACL injury.

• The probability of an athlete tearing their ACL doubles after the first tear.

• In the long term, the probability of developing knee osteoarthritis within the next 10 to 15 years following an ACL injury increases by 20-50%.

• Women have been disproportionately affected by ACL injuries compared with their male counterparts since data began being recorded in the 1990s.

• Female soccer players have been shown to have between 2-10 times higher risk of ACL injury than their male counterparts.

• Historically, ACL research in sports science has been heavily focused on sex-based biological factors ("intrinsic" influences) at the expense of cultural and environmental ("extrinsic") factors. In reality, these two factors are deeply intertwined.

• Successful training programs aimed at preventing ACL injuries often target reducing knee moments.

• When girls and women participate in dedicated training programs, they experience a significant 67% decrease in non-contact ACL injuries. However, application suffers due to adherence levels.
