PUMA is reviving iconic Porsche RSR by launching the Porsche Legacy Statement Pack of Spring / Summer ´21

Global sports company PUMA embraces the cult of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 with the Porsche Legacy Statement Pack of Spring / Summer ´21. The bold collection is inspired by the signature colors of the iconic race cars at the International Race Of Champions in 1973/74.

Motorsport is part of Porsche cars DNA since 1951. A remarkable fleet of race automobiles produced in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen (GER) has been setting up a statement in regards of quality, endurance and performance since then. The Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 was unleashed on the circuits in 1973 at the International Race Of Champions (IROC) with a unique and bold color expression. The cars at the IRCO have been identically constructed to offer each driver – who had origins out of all different categories of racing - equal opportunities. The participants of this unique competition designed their race cars in a specific livery to differ from their competitors. The pallet of hues was striking and prominent to stand out orange, red or blue colors. PUMA has been playing around with the paint bucket to celebrate the signature livery of the RSRs at the International Race Of Champions with the striking PUMA x Porsche Legacy Statement Pack of Spring / Summer ´21 season.

Brave, confident, and joyful describes the attitude of the collection the very best. PUMA is sticking to its heritage inspired Porsche Legacy philosophy by highlighting the era of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 during the International Race Of Champions. The paint of the cars is more than aesthetics. It´s nostalgia, uniqueness and memorability at the same time. PUMA has adapted those impactful colors to the collection, coming in orange, blue, red and yellow. The apparel collection embraces timeless, sleek and simple silhouettes ranging from jacket and hoodies to pants and tees. The bold graphics of Porsche 911 are consistently featured on every item of the collection. Big and striking pockets on jacket, hoodie and pants provide the line additional jaw-dropping elements.

Set up your own individual legacy driven style and get your PUMA x Porsche Legacy Statement Pack of Spring / Summer ´21 season now in PUMA stores and online on puma.com.

KIDSUPER BRINGS CREATIVITY TO NEW LEVELS IN LATEST PUMA COLLECTION

PUMA and creative artist collective KidSuper Studios are back for another football-inspired, co-branded collection, which is infused with boundless imagination and continues to explore KidSuper’s artistic and experimental way of thinking.

KidSuper Studios is a homegrown artist collective based in Brooklyn, New York. In 2021, this circle of creatives joins with PUMA for a second season, offering their unique perspectives for a series of unexpected collection pieces. Bringing KidSuper founder Colm Dillane’s artwork to life, PUMA enters the crazy and colorful world of KidSuper, where classics are transformed into never-before-seen designs.

The PUMA x KidSuper Studios second collaboration boasts mix-and-match design elements, experimental prints, and challenges the conventional look of a sneaker. Hook and loop closures, decorative zig-zag stitching, and embroidered branding are complemented by raw edges for a purposefully unfinished look. Inspired by Dillane's unbridled love of football, campaign images were shot with his favorite team and recent Copa Libertadores champions, Brazilian club Palmeiras. PUMA sponsored athletes William, Gabriel Veron, Weverton and Renan serve as the models for the collection.

Painting and sketching graphics handmade by KidSuper are brought to life on the apparel pieces in the collection. Items like the hoodie and puffer jacket have a printed painting. Sketches of a face are made into a camo print on the fleece top and pants.

Possibly the most unique and impressive piece in the collection is the bathrobe. It comes in a red, yellow and white all-over-print with co-branded embroidery on the back with piping on collar edge, cuff and hem. It further features a belt, front pockets, and internal pocket. The football inspiration shines through in items such as the crew neck, adorned with the KidSuper football club logo.

Classic PUMA footwear styles are practically unrecognizable with the transformations in this collection. The RS-2K Slip-on is the standout piece, featuring the same camo inspired face print as the fleece top and pants, with a quilted upper. Mirage Mox and Trailfox Boot get colorful transformations and feature unique aspects like stitched leather pieces on the collar to hold a pencil on the Trailfox and tie dye laces on the Mirage Mox. The Vesuvo offers a more subtle option, with a white leather upper and semi-translucent rubber overlay on the heel, KidSuper Studios embroidery on hook and loop straps, and an exposed foam edge on the formstrip and tongue.

Outfit yourself in a work of art when the PUMA x KidSuper collection drops on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers on March 13th.

A PROGRESSIVE ADDITION TO PUMA’S RIDER FAMILY

Sports company PUMA is adding a progressive new design to its popular Rider franchise with the addition of the Wild Rider. Its premium design is inspired by the movement and motion of city life – always going forward, further, faster, and beyond.

The Wild Rider brings PUMA’s selection of ‘Futro’ styles to the next level - referencing different decades, mixing them up and combining them with modern technologies and construction techniques. The Wild Rider pushes the Rider product language forward, evolving it with fresh layers of material and futuristic circles at the midsole.

Taking archive inspiration from the Easy Rider II OG, the design is a ‘collage’ of past and future melted together – which can be seen in the debossed concave holes on the midsole and a rubber midsole wrap with embossed studs. This silhouette brings a whole new dimension to the Rider family, featuring a nylon upper with suede and premium leather overlays, TPU details on the eyelet and heel, a terry towel lining, deco stitching on upper, and the signature Rider foam. Just the heel alone has a series of unique design finishes, like a formstrip that flows into a heel pull, “Designed by PUMA” emblazoned across the back, and a hairy suede overlay. The back of heel also juts out from a futro inspired accent, further playing on the idea of motion that serves as inspiration for the shoe. Hints of vivid, almost industrial colors like royal blue to play with this idea of bringing together the past and the future.

The Wild Rider drops on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers on April 10th.

The jersey features Milan’s iconic red and black stripes reinterpreted at various widths in a single, symmetrical design, celebrating the creative balance of tradition and modernity giving rise to a new Milan, from the pitch to the streets to the city skyline.

As a horizon of modern skyscrapers emerges in the city, so does a new state of mind. The Milanese are embracing international influences at a striking pace, setting their sights on the future, eager to spark a new era of creativity and innovation for the ever-elegant metropolis.

The two captains of AC Milan’s Women’s team and Men’s team, Valentina Giacinti and Alessio Romagnoli shared their comments on the new Home kit designed by PUMA.

Giacinti said, “I’m really excited to be wearing this kit on the pitch for the first time in our next game. I love the design, modern yet traditional, and how it has been influenced by the city of Milan.”

Romagnoli added, “Wearing the red and black colors day in and day out gives me immense pride. The new kit looks really modern, and you can truly see where the inspiration for the stripes comes from – it is a great representation of Milan’s new and expanding skyline.”

“AC Milan as a club is a mirror of the energy and spirit of the city of Milan,” said Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer at AC Milan. “We are very proud to be launching our new Home kit today and debuting it on the pitch for the first time with our Women’s team. “Together, AC Milan and PUMA celebrate women who move together to achieve and connect – through sport, culture and values,” said Matthias Baeumer, General Manager BU Teamsport. “AC Milan is built on innovation, community, integrity and inclusiveness and we wanted to celebrate the representation of this historic club and the changing identity of the city of Milan in both our kit design and our communication, by elevating AC Milan Women’s team.”

In celebration of the ‘Move Like Milan’ Home kit campaign, PUMA and AC Milan have embraced the creative spirit of the club and the city by partnering with three Milanese design and fashion Universities to deliver a series of workshops and design masterclasses, hosted by leading PUMA creatives to help mentor the next generation of young designers.

The new AC Milan Home jersey combines 100% recycled polyester with advanced PUMA dryCELL thermoregulation technology to ensure uncompromising fit and mobility, keeping the athlete dry and comfortable. The jersey integrates an Ultra-light jacquard structure into the back of the jersey to enhance breathability during intense performance.

INSPIRED BY TECH: PUMA LAUNCHES NEW OP-1 PWRFRAME FRANCHISE

Sports company PUMA brings newness this season with OP-1 PWRFrame, an innovative style fusing street and vis-tech, standing out with a progressive design and futuristic feel. With new and exciting drops every month, the PWRFrame franchise will surely captivate every sneakerhead’s eyes.

The OP-1 PWRFrame emphasizes pure functionality through an almost simplistic approach, taking architectural structures as a basis behind the design inspiration, while simultaneously creating a bold look through the overall silhouette.

“The design emphasizes functionality through a collage of contrasting construction techniques and manufacturing processes,” says Danny Taylor, Lead Sportstyle Designer for PUMA. “The PWRFrame component defines the overall vibrant look and shape of the shoe. It splices through the two-part midsole and loops around the heel, giving the design its unique aesthetic and DNA, while still retaining enough simplicity to communicate its functionality.”

The OP-1 PWRFrame plays with a contemporary and clean design. The upper contrasts more technical processes, like bonding and embroidery, with traditional overlay elements for a streetwear focused design. Neon accents on the PWRFrame component appear throughout all the OP-1 PWRFrame styles to draw attention to this new tech. It features a continuous ring of support from heel to midfoot – providing optimal comfort. Serving as the connecting structure between specific points on the shoe that require stability, the aesthetic of this element represents a more industrial approach.

The style will debut in May and be followed by a series of additional colorways throughout the summer. Step into the future with OP-1 PWRFrame when it drops on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers on May 15th.

PUMA emphasizes their support for women racing by extending their partnership with W Series

Global sports company PUMA resumes the collaboration with W Series, the international single-seater motor racing championship for female drivers. PUMA will tailor its racewear with a female-first design in 2021.

Race suits for female racing drivers have traditionally been redesigned versions of those initially made for their male counterparts. But this year – when W Series will stage eight races in partnership with Formula 1 – W Series’ drivers will compete in PUMA racewear tailored specifically for the female body from the very start of the design process. This means that the season-opening race at Circuit Paul Ricard, France, on 26 June will be the first time that a fully female grid will compete in PUMA racewear tailored for women.

James Clark (Head of Sports Marketing Motorsport & Operations, PUMA) said:

“Motorsport is in PUMA´s DNA, just like our brand´s principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. Hence W Series is a perfect fit with the values we share. For us at PUMA, it is irrelevant whether a driver is male or female, the only thing that matters is the passion for motorsport. We are very proud that we have been the official racewear supplier of W Series since 2019 and that this will continue in 2021. We recently launched a new women’s campaign called ‘She Moves Us’ which celebrates females who have moved culture and sports forward and will inspire women around the world. In terms of motorsport, there could not be a better ambassador for this campaign than W Series. The drive for more women in motorsport is proven by the partnership between Formula 1 and W Series this season. I am sure this will help W Series move one step forward and promote the series on a global scale. Besides our passion for motorsport, we want to make sure that the W Series drivers feel safe, competitive, and comfortable in the cockpit. So PUMA has designed tailormade race suits for female drivers to ensure a perfect fit.”

NEYMAR JR.

PUMA AND PRONOUNCE CREATE DEBUT COLLECTION INSPIRED BY ANCIENT ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

Global sports company PUMA and designer brand PRONOUNCE have created a debut collaboration together of apparel, footwear and accessories in an earthy palette inspired by Pumapunku, an ancient archaeological site in Bolivia.

Based across both Milan and Shanghai, PRONOUNCE was founded in 2016 by Yushan Li and his creative partner Jun Zhou. The high-end brand reflects the pairs’ shared love of handcrafted garments, and a desire to perfect the creation of truly global, truly genderless clothing. They have a unique approach of playfully weaving in references and inspirations from Eastern, Western, and ancient cultures and philosophies. This approach fits seamlessly into the debut PUMA x PRONOUNCE collection, which combines ancient inspiration with a modern and minimalistic design approach.

In ancient Incan tradition, Pumapunku is believed to be the seat of global civilization, and now stands as a remnant of a vast complex of stone temples and geometric monuments. Taking cues from such intricate architectural constructions in the pre-technological age, the PUMA x PRONOUNCE collection brings this inspiration to life through the use of graphic motifs representing ropes, pulleys, and clay blocks. The color palette is inspired by the majesty of the sunset over Pumapunku, with gradient tones of orange, pebble, and muted grey.

In modern fits and gender specific styles, the apparel comes in a vibrant, gradient color story, with bold color blocking alongside earthy colors. Playful details resembling ropes adorn lightweight woven apparel styles with techy details. Items include tees, hoodies and sweatpants alongside more tailored pieces like a collared shirt, trousers, and a selection of jackets.

The footwear in the collection uses a very textural material mix in a neutral color scheme. Accents of bright orange and rope detailing add a bold touch. The selection includes new PUMA styles like the Suede Mayu, Mirage Sport, and OP-1 PWRFrame, as well as classics like the Basket VTG. A cap, backpack and mini messenger are included in the accessories offering for the collection.

Grab the PUMA x PRONOUNCE collection when it drops on PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers.
