For the Spring / Summer Collection of the Silver Arrows Team was inspired by a vision about the future without a defined shape, without standardized formats and unusual positions. The Mercedes F1 Team has always had a futuristic vision being a pioneer in the search for innovations.

For this season we decided to elevate the product and create a fusion between the products and the graphic itself being one. Like a luminous spark the streetwear collection is featuring translucent and clear details blend with premium materials while the Statement Collection comes with star focused graphics on hoodies, tees, and pants.

What’s more the all new BMW LGND incorporates many styling cues which are synonymous with the Bavarian marque, while also utilising the very latest in footwear development technology. In addition to chrome accents - inspired by M4 trim pieces - and adaptive reflective materials - inspired by the M4’s unique headlight system - and dynamic T-Toe shape - spread by the M4’s aggressive bonnet styling - the BMW LGND also features the world famous “Hofmeister Knick”.

Just like BMW’s kidney front grille, the Hofmeister Knick is a design signature calling-card for the manufacturer, and has been proudly featured on every model since the advent of the BMW Neue Klasse models in 1961. Named after its creator, Wilhelm Hofmeister, who led the BMW design department between 1955 and 1970, the feature is the bend at the C-Pillar, representing a turn in the window lines which separates the rear side windows from the rear glass.

The gravity-defying ULTRA SL has been constructed to unleash your top speed. The ULTRA is crafted from high-performance ULTRAWEAVE material. An ultra-thin woven upper with super-lightweight yarns for optimal lightweight support. The upper features a special GripControl Pro skin that provides an enhanced texture for decisive command over the ball and is combined with an ultra-lightweight PEBAX outsole for lightning-fast acceleration. The ULTRA SL upper is made with at least 30% recycled content as a step toward a better future.

Motorsport is part of Porsche cars DNA since 1951. A remarkable fleet of race automobiles produced in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen (GER) has been setting up a statement in regards of quality, endurance and performance since then. The Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 was unleashed on the circuits in 1973 at the International Race Of Champions (IROC) with a unique and bold color expression. The cars at the IRCO have been identically constructed to offer each driver – who had origins out of all different categories of racing - equal opportunities. The participants of this unique competition designed their race cars in a specific livery to differ from their competitors. The pallet of hues was striking and prominent to stand out orange, red or blue colors. Race suits for female racing drivers have traditionally been redesigned versions of those initially made for their male counterparts. But this year – when W Series will stage eight races in partnership with Formula 1 – W Series’ drivers will compete in PUMA racewear tailored specifically for the female body from the very start of the design process. This means that the season-opening race at Circuit Paul Ricard, France, on 26 June will be the first time that a fully female grid will compete in PUMA racewear tailored for women.

Linking up with LBN Team member Dany Neville, Valtteri spent an afternoon on the track. “The sound of the V8 is incredible, and you can smell the melting rubber from the tires. It’s really really cool,” explained Valtteri.

“I’ve taken part in a lot of rallies - I suppose I have done some drifting in a way - because the techniques of car control are very similar; but I haven’t done anything like this before with a proper drift car and on an asphalt drift track.”

Bottas continues: “I’ve been driving cars since I was six years old, so that for sure helps - but for sure the things that helped me the most is my experience from rallying. In rallying you are always sliding the car and controlling the throttle, the weight transfer, the balance, and everything very differently to how you would drive an F1 car.”
