Your Talent
- Degree in Textile / Fashion / Clothing related discipline
- Minimum 7-10 years’ relevant experience in garment/sportswear industry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative, flexible with entrepreneur mind set
- Excellent verbal & written English language skills
- Good at Microsoft Office
Your Mission
- This role represents the key connection between Puma Apparel Innovation and vendors in the Asian arena. Working closely with Innovation management and vendors – Identify what we currently do well or need to do better, and then help to develop further to improve performance, value, and appeal.
- This includes both the elements of materials and garment construction and will involve working closely with internal and external business partners
- Communication to the wider Innovation team and Sourcing colleagues on a regular basis, is critical to the success if this role
- Investigate material/garment/technical opportunities for improved performance and Sustainability – for today and tomorrows consumer.
- Develop new and innovative solutions for performance apparel concepts – through fibers, material, and garment manufacturing methods
- Bring ideas and inspiring concepts to the table on a regular basis, based on your research and input for the research team and translate to our future consumer’s needs. (3-4 ideas per quarter/year).
- Ensure costing parameters are considered when advancing innovations. Support the development of Innovations from concept stage through to commercialization.
- Work with Product Development both at headquarters and PGS to execute material/garment/technical innovations ensure a clean ‘handover’ of innovations to the inline businesses
- Visit tradeshows within the textile arena and beyond to build up a portfolio of new inspiration. Carry out assignments at the discretion of your line manager
