Your Mission

  • Act as the Go-To person for material research on newness and trends in the region for each season. Be a key team player to collaborate and co-ordinate with Material teams at Business Unit level to deliver each season needs from global creative direction
  • T2 Mill management: New vendor onboard training / KPI delivery management
  • Manage timeline execution on new initiative for cross Business Units and standardization
  • Be the key partner to work with Material teams at Business Unit level and/or at Source level on cross-business-unit material projects
  • Build and execute mill allocation for overall material sourcing strategy, sustainability target and traceability requirements, which align with product sourcing strategy
  • Responsible for cross-business-unit core material negotiation
  • Be the bridge between Innovation team, Material teams at Business Unit level and at Source level
  • Partner with Senior Manager Technical Material Apparel to resolve all materials related issues for internal and external partners, including but not limited to borderline preforming fabrics, RSL compliance and etc.
  • Assure material library at Business Unit level is up-to-date
  • Material Repository System: Work closely with Business Solutions and IT teams as needed for system maintenance and upgrade/create new supplier specification 
  • Other ad hoc projects as required

Your Talent

  • Degree or above in Textile / Fashion, Textile Chemistry, or related disciplines
  • 10+ years of relevant experience or above in functional fabrics (both knit and woven) is highly preferred
  • Strong and comprehensive knowledge of sustainability material, textile sourcing, fabric production & construction, functional performance properties, fiber and yarn dyeing, all over printing and panel printing techniques and finishing processes
  • Excellent costing knowledge on fabric (details on Yarn, Dyeing and finishing cost)
  • Strong sourcing base with fabric suppliers in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and other Global players
  • Testing laboratory experience is preferred, i.e. knowledge of RSL requirements
  • Strong communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
  • Good command of Mandarin is highly preferred
  • Good command of MS office
