Your Talent
- 5+ years’ experience in design/engineering in the golf industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering required, Post graduate work preferred
- Proficient with standard engineering practices and problem solving - e.g. leads FMEA exercises
- Knowledgeable and self-sufficient in most golf club material, construction, and manufacturing processes areas
- Proficient with critical golf club analysis tools for performance, sound and durability
- Previous 3D CAD modeling experience required, preferably with NX/Unigraphics
- Finite Element Analysis experience preferably with Altair suite of products
- Ability to travel domestic and international
The Hiring range base pay for this position is $82,000 - $116,645 + Bonus + Benefits (https://us.puma.com/us/en/puma/careers/puma-perks-resources-and-benefits). Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Your Mission
- Research new trends in golf club markets regarding process, materials, fabrication techniques, and outside industries, to develop new product knowledge and enhance departmental innovation capabilities
- Conduct market research to uncover new product categories and opportunities
- Lead brainstorming and actively participate in ideation of new technologies across critical platforms
- Independently create / invent innovative golf concepts, club constructions or club features with high value to the consumer and Cobra PUMA Golf on a regular basis
- Translates concepts into 3D models utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Analyze and report on performance, durability, and costs of new concepts
- Find new or direct current supply partners on the design and prototyping of new concepts, processes, and technologies
- Work closely with other R&D team members and other product stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations Teams to define concept objectives, then develop and successfully transition concepts into working prototypes
- Actively participate in the evaluation and testing of new concepts
- Successfully patent for new concepts, ideas, technologies, and products
