Your Mission
- Develop and execute short/mid-term sustainable merchandising growth plans in line with regional product directives to develop optimum retail APP strategy and assortments.
- Collaborating closely with the planning team to deliver the optimum APP strategy and assortments for Retail to drive sell-through and reach financial targets by utilizing historical performance, trend analysis.
- Work closely with Wholesale and other Retail channels to have dependable forecasts on take-back and transfers to the responsible channel and ensure a balanced and commercial APPs at all times
- Setting and managing the model store buying patterns (assortment mix and size ranges) to effectively manage allocation and replenishment, thereby mitigating the risk lost sales.
- Partner with planning team to present APP assortment and financial projections to country- and regional management for final sign off via the Retail Buy and OTB Review process (RBR)
- Communicate retail needs and planned APP flow to country merchandising members
- Conduct internal product presentations to the Retail team (including Operations, VM, Retail Marketing, VM, etc) explaining APP strategies, trends and influences, consumer targets, key stories and product benefits, after approval from a Retail MD manager.
- With particular focus on high-volume products, align product promotions with stock availability and ensure appropriate retail marketing support.
- Partner with Planning team in reviewing seasonal collection performance vs expectations and in analyzing consumer buying patterns for APP, predicting future trends
- Partner with Planning and collaborate with other retail functions in making tactical adjustments based on current trends to drive business and manage APP inventories. Present proposed changes to management during weekly meetings
- Partner with Visual Merchandising and Retail Marketing to ensure that products are presented and promoted as intended in order to ensure storytelling and thus enhance consumers’ shopping experience
- Closely monitor relevant competitors in the market including pricing, product assortment, product materials and features, best selling items etc
- Maintain close relationship with the stores in order to obtain feedback from the consumer facing staff on product feedback and performance that could enable better future assortment planning
- In conjunction with production team and country MD members, manage and proceed retail exclusive products if necessary
- Have a responsibility for product issues and provide product explanations in conjunction with country MD members
- Closely working with global retail MD to understand global direction and to be provided their support for local demand in APPs
- Lead product launch for key APPs through involving marketing, VMD, and Operation teams, to maximize business opportunities
