Your Mission

  • Execute against design briefs for the Sport Style Court Footwear category, in the classic/lifestyle space, under the leadership of the Creative Director, Team Head and Head of Design.
  • Introduce and execute innovative material and color design ideas aimed to achieve the business targets and product category objectives, including progressive design interpretations and key reissue alignment.
  • Collect market intelligence, providing all involved with accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments, utilizing them effectively to support collection theme and design direction.
  • Meet category requirements and innovate in order to expand market share.
  • Create product/color/material stories on PUMA Sport Style Court footwear for upcoming activations.
  • Work as a partner with Product Line Management to develop unique and relevant products.
  • Work with Product Development to execute designs that adhere to costing goals while advancing category initiatives.
  • Create colorway, material, and graphic design files and detail specifications through standardized design packages.
  • Follow-up on designs and design deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Utilize internal communication systems to update cross-functional global teams with accurate information on calendar-based deadlines.
  • Deliver projects in line with PUMA development calendar.
  • Travel to partner creative meetings and to factories.

Your Talent

  • Minimum 4-year College/University degree in Fashion or Textile Design or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Color and Materials Designer.
  • Strong knowledge of footwear specific materials and processes with a passion for color use and theory.
  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding in consumer trends retail/market/product line dynamics and how the products you design affect those environments.
  • Strong understanding of the go-to-market process, from design conception to tech pack completion.
  • Distinct interest to work with the product management on a global basis.
  • Excellent conceptualization, communication and presentation skills.
  • Competency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel and work internationally.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Highly self-motivated.
