Your Mission

  • Responsible for strategically managing and promoting a sales culture within a Retail Store, as well as the assigned area, inclusive of 2 to 3 additional stores
  • Travelling once or twice a week to visit your assigned stores
  • Directly responsible for ensuring the Store as well as Area consistently achieves or exceeds sales, KPI’s and profitability goals through the effective use of short and long term planning, expense control, sales and service.
  • Guarantee consistently high standards of customer experience within the Store and Area in accordance with PUMA’s Brand Values and service standards.
  • Develop, manage and monitor the succession plan for both the Retail Store and Area with results driven individuals both internally as well as externally, who are able to relocate.
  • Accountable for ensuring that payroll goals are achieved and/or managed for both the Retail Store and Area.
  • Analyze business performance, customer profiles and buying trends of individual stores within Retail Store and Area, to impact and drive business.
  • Oversee and manage all marketing events within Area.
  • Responsible for accurately processing sales, exchange, and refund transactions at the cash desk, with proper operation of the POS system, handling forms of tender with accuracy and respect, and ensuring proper discounts are applied when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance of Area Stores concerning Policies & Procedures, Operational core competencies and key accountabilities.
  • Provide Area Manager with monthly summary of business impacting initiatives.
  • Create innovative business opportunities and identify ways to drive sales within Area and ensure action is taken to achieve as well as maximize opportunities.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours which include evenings, weekends, holidays.

Your Talent

  • Three to four years of management experience in a focused, customer service oriented retail environment (preferably apparel/footwear) with results driven track record
  • Proven ability to exceed sales while meeting payroll goals, demonstrated ability to identify, hire, train, develop and retain top talent Managers as well as teams,
  • Ability to reason through complex issues, demonstrates effective communication
  • Ability to present information to large groups
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and motivational skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Practical experience in Project Management, skills in implementing communications methods and event management
  • Commercial acumen
  • Interest in innovation and change
  • Strong leadership skills
